Are we allowed to discuss the Lost Metal prologue?

[Theory] Taln Wasn't the Herald Who Broke; It Was Chanarach
mathiau replied to teknopathetic's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Most likely still at least 200 years Yes, it's conceivable he'll one day move one and find another significant other but he's certainly not the go for the groupies -
[Theory] Taln Wasn't the Herald Who Broke; It Was Chanarach
mathiau replied to teknopathetic's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Actually it's very avoidable. First because the reproduction issue Returned is likely to be common to all types of CSs and second because having a large number of admirers doesn't mean you have sex with them. Though of course he could have had a child since era 1 and knowing @Kingsdaughter613 it's probably who she was thinking about when asking the question. -

He could be talking about the pre-Evil Threnodite shadows -

According to Rlain it's probably more than one thing -
We should ask Brandon for precision on what of the chart is only a pattern
-
She is not character in particular Brandon is talking about the frame here, not the chart itself
-
I wouldn't consider her part of the chart honestly
-
It has?
-
I've seen more Moash like posts than Lift hate posts, which is to say really not a lot
-
Wait there are people who hates Lift? I understand not liking her humour but hating her?

What do you think of that @Frustration? Maybe if we say the right-side inverted Voids are alternate interpretation of the corresponding Surge and left-side inverted Voids are a completely different thing compared to the corresponding Surge there's a chance it will work? Edit: if people are wondering what I'm talking about, refer to the Surgebinding and Voidbinding charts. I'm interpreting as him having the Void of progression, Frustration interpret it as Renarin instinctively using Illumination at the same time as Progression, like the Windrunner do with Adhesion and Gravitation

dawnshard Let's make groups of four, RoW edition
mathiau replied to mathiau's topic in Cosmere Discussion
I don't understand the reasoning for Whimsy being in Virtue That's interesting, I assume the Dawnshard known to bind would be Virtue? My main issue against this breakdown is that I don't see how Odium could have bring Change or Virtue on Roshar if he only killed aspects of Motviation XD More seriously Stability could have been used so the world doesn't crumble when big A is shattered. -
You can't, you already have the Adhesion-Gravitation-Division-Abrasion-Progression-Illumination-Transformation-Transportation-Cohesion-Tension-Adhesion circle, if you add a new surge you wont be able to change the circle into Adhesion-Gravitation-Division-Abrasion-Progression-Illumination-Transformation-Transportation-Cohesion-Tension-[new]-Adhesion because the Tension-Adhesion link is already there, you'll end up with two circle touching each others. I want to point out the guiding spren, the secret sprens, the chaossprens, the stormspren and Ulim but there have been theory of Ulim being a splinter of Ruin or of Dominion so... (though Brandon consider the Unmades as Voidsprens and there still is some theory about the Unmade originally being splinters of other Shards, Ruin for the Thrill and Preservation for the heart of reveal for example) And even when he heals there are temporal side-effects.

The link I gave show the pronunciation I used (well, the pronunciation google used for me= I'm not saying he has to follow modern day age of consent laws (which by the way is a very poorly define thing). Also Tarv is not exactly the only guy setting the rules. Yes but we know they're not since they're otherworlders Why not? We don't know what her madness does but from what happened to the others it's most likely something that would undermine her role as the guard. Also it's probably better to speak of this theory in this thread I'm just now realizing an offspring of Hoid and Jasnah could be old enough to have a role in the back 5, this is somehow as much terrifying as Lift being adult in SA6

Unless I'm doing something wrong google traduction seems to agree https://translate.google.com/?hl=en&sl=auto&tl=en&text=סכל&op=translate Am I doing something wrong?

1. As long as replacing "participating to the duel" by "having sex" in your argument doesn't create an obvious fallacy you have not given any argument 2. Wiktionary says סכל means "acting like a fool" 3. I had purposely not risen the first point in my first answer in order to let the conversation die, can you and @Frustration not pick it up again this time?

To be fair Wax was a legend so I doubt most people who knew of him in the rough also knew his age
-
Then when did someone mistake him for Wax?

I don't see anything implying Ishar is not the only one able to do the apparent foresight thing. Anyway I'm not sure how relevant this is to this but I think it'd be possible with C-duralumin: if you increase enough your connection with the person you should be able to know them deeply enough to understand what that person is trying to do with the faintest of movement, which to the outside observer will look like you're reacting before the person actually moves
-
They can't but if the eight last months have proven anything it's that this debate is even more fruitless than the one on whether Renarin has the Surge of Progression or its Void

Ok, I think I understand better now. So, windsprens and honourspren should still be parts of Honour but for things like mistsprens it will be a bit weirder since they're both splinters of Honour and of Cultivation but not splinters of Science
-
No, the WoB was about pieces of a Shard becoming separate and sentient, not about Vessels These splinters don't seems to be sentient (heck the Dor isn't even sentient yet) so I guess the splinter he's talking about here are not the same type of splinter as sprens or seons are
-
Endowment's investiture is stringless so it doesn't really matter anyway That... is actually a good question. I feel like unbounded Seons being harder to move would be contrary to Devotion's intent (love) and that they might even actually be easier to move while bounded (might)
