Antagonist and Protagonist were revealed, but other than that it's been slow so far." "Yes, but why do you think 655 doesn't exist?" The rabbits conferred with each other. Eventually, one of them came forward. There is one who will help us. He called out to all evil. We will find him, and make him read the paper for us. The horde broke apart and ambled off fluffily. Malevolence inspected the new Rose quizzically. "Perhaps you should let me go before she attacks us? I promise I won't attack any of you."

    “There is only one way I can think of to get Malan in the same place as Cricket and the rest of you.” Malevolence said. “And I must talk to Cricket to see if it will work.” We cannot read! Exclaimed the rabbits. How are we supposed to tell which is the right one?

    “But would you go with Cricket to fight Malan?”

    "He's afraid of Cricket." Malevolence whispered. "He's terrified of him. That's why he'll keep sending minions after you. That's why he'll never come to kill Cricket himself. Because he knows that Cricket would kill him."

    "Good enough for now." Malevolence dropped his voice to a whisper. "You want to know the biggest secret about Malan? You want to know why you'll never be able to stop him for good?"

    "I don't believe it's your compass, no. Did your compass also direct you through dimensions?"

    The jellyfish collected a lot of mechanical devices, including but not limited to: A dimensional compass, three personal teleporters, a container of corrosive nanobots, and a pair of rocketboots. "I think that got all of my devices. Perhaps it got all of Malan's as well."

    "I'm not certain, but they could utilize Nullite in some fashion in order to hide themselves."

    Malevolence glanced around. “Well, I guess here works. But Tam, could you check me for any listening devices? I’m worried Malan might have planted some on me.”

    “The emptiness of death?” The Dreamsmith asked in a comforting tone. “I have it on good authority that the afterlife isn’t so bad.” “Malan would have killed me if I’d refused to hunt you!” Malevolence exclaimed. “Look, I can help you. Just… can we go somewhere else? I’m afraid he has ears here.”

    "Is there a reason you have not followed it?" The Dreamsmith asked. "What kind of proof do you want? To wait around until an assassin kills me? I can give you information about Malan and his plans. I don't know much, but I'll tell you everything I know."

    "So, what are you planning to do now?" Malevolence winced, trying his best not to move. "I understand why you're upset, but I need your help. I stopped working for Malan because I didn't want to kill you. And now he's sending people after me."

    "Of course." Unintelligible took Sequence's hand gently and helped her to her feet.

    Mixing energies in metal form = possible though super difficult and dangerous, only ever happened successfully (to my knowledge) once. Mixing energies in a living being = a hundred times more difficult and unstable. "Um, because I've stopped working for Malan and he's got assassins tracking me? I came to ask for your help." Malevolence gulped. "Also I'm mostly unarmed. Got nothing to suppress your powers with, and no nuclear devices on my person." Unintelligible blinked awake, standing from the chair he'd been sitting in beside her. "You're awake! Fell any better?" Not too much. The trial started and revealed the most dangerous Plotblades to be Antagonist and Protagonist. A bunch of antagonists are doing stuff, the Priest officiated a wedding.

    "I think that is for the best." The Dreamsmith says sagely. I don't count Platypus as a Luxsprite. He would most likely be a different type of Ordered Light entity. Balancium is a theoretical combination of the energies, but it's only very rarely (once) been achieved even in the metal form at a small scale. An attempt to combine the powers is actually what gave the Witherlord the opening to destroy the Luxsprites. So I don't think that a balanced character could exist. Narrators are powerful enough though, and there's nothing stopping them from making use of the other available fundamental essences (Nullite and Mordite), aside from the difficulty in procuring them. A horde of rabbits sit atop a massive pile of books, scrolls, magazines, comics, paper, and even a roll or two of toilet paper. Wind?     "I apologize for my Author. You know better than most how they can be." The Dreamsmith chuckles softly. "I think you overstate my skill. I truly did hope to craft a perfect Authorblade. But... I suppose my failure turned out well enough, in the end. Not well enough to save you. For that, I am truly sorry."

    "If he will not tell you, then it is not my place to. Perhaps he sees things differently than I do." said the voice. The Dreamsmith appears next to the Once-Author with a mug of root. "Here. I never got to say this earlier, but... you used the Blade I forged for you quite magnificently." "No need to worry," Malevolence said with a grin. "I won't betray you now. You can deposit the metal at my base." He turned and walked out of the mountain, then vanished with a crackle of lightning.

    The voice spoke again. "Or perhaps you will allow him to continue in his delusion?" It sounded amused.

    The Once-Author heard a voice speak, ever so faintly. "So, this is how you'll show him the truth?"

    "So you don't understand it either? How intriguing." Malevolence stroked his chin in thought. "I think I'll go infiltrate their group once I secure the Nullite."

    Malevolence nodded. "So, Bat. What further information can you give me on him?"

    Malevolence smiled. "I had wondered how a place with such a valuable resource could possibly have escaped the grasp of those like us. I see you've beaten me to it."
