  1. "What are you trying to save them from?" The traveler stepped carefully over a tree root, then stopped to watch two squirrels chasing each other across a tree.
  2. A wide smile split the traveler's face. "I'm glad! Here, let's start walking. If we head east, there's a nice ridge not too far away."
  3. The forest was a typical forest. Tall trees with branches far above, covered in green leaves. acorns and leaves covering the ground, with the occasional fern in a dead spot. The traveler and Erryin stood atop a hill, with a creek down below. "Do you like it?" The traveler asked, birds chirping softly in the distance. Warm sunshine broke through a crack in the canopy, shining briefly on the pair as they stood. "I passed this way on my journey to Onyx's realm, what feels like a very long time ago."
  4. "Oh, I know a great forest!" The Traveler paused. "Can you take us there? I've got no idea how to get out of this place."
  5. "Great! Is there anywhere you'd like to walk?" "Well you sound like a total villain, so... agree to disagree."
  6. "True. They're also at their most genuine when not being manipulated into killing people while inside someone else's mindscape." Countered the traveler. The traveler examined the swirling mist around them. "This isn't a particularly nice place for a walk. Would you like to go somewhere else?"
  7. "In my-albeit limited-experience, darkness does its best to smother truth. That truth which is revealed by darkness is only done so because when it survives through the deepest shadows." "How about we go for a walk?" The traveler suggested. "In my life, I have found walking to be a great way to work through difficult decisions."
  8. "I'd trust the one that's not named 'dark Cep'." Noted the traveller.
  9. "What? Oh, you've met Subversion? I'm the piece she cut off from herself, the piece that... cares, I guess." The traveler blushed, not wanting to say that she was the piece of Subversion that had fallen in love. "Um, are you about to kill that guy?" She asked Erryin. "Why?"
  10. Subversion looked between dark Cep and Erryin. "I... Actually, you're correct. I don't. I suppose I could offer the solution of 'let me make all your friends immortal', but I doubt that's very Narratively compelling. So... bye!" There was a flash of light, and Subversion was gone. In her place was someone who looked very similar in features, only without the markers of a Narrator. Her eyes were those of a mortal, and seemed warmer than Subversion's. The Traveller blinked. "Where am I?"
  11. "Fiend? You're the one corrupting the poor child." Subversion began to wish she'd actually read the plot. "Well, how do you know you can't save everyone?" I JUST DID! Totally not because my fingers hurt
  12. ADDICTED? HOW totally accurate RIDICULOUS! I can quite whenever I want. "Who I am is not important." Subversion said. "What is important is that you realize that killing people is not the answer to your problems."
  13. I WAS PLAYING SILKSONG (Spoilers for Silksong) Subversion appeared hurriedly. "Ah, wait! Erryin, you don't need to do this." "As a matter of fact, no I have not." Subversion shrugged. "I'm not a big fan of reading."
  14. “A truthful one, nonetheless.” Subversion snapped back. “For all the Authors pretend to about lives, they really don’t matter.”
  15. “Well, what Plotblade do you want Erryin to get? Generally they’re related to the quest.”
  16. "I fail to see why you're so upset about fictional people killing other fictional people." Subversion pointed out. "But fine, I'll do it."
  17. "Sure." Subversion said. "What do you want me to do? Kill everyone for Erryin?"
  18. "You're doing plot, right? Put me in it. Get my Author invested." Subversion shrugged. "Hope he gets bored of completionist stuff."
  19. Subversion faded almost entirely away, then snapped back into focus again. "It's my Author. He's trapped by this game that came out, and has no time to focus on TLT. You have to help me!" "He is effective... at times." Malevolence admitted grudgingly. "He certainly has power, although I would certainly not have rejected the training of the Ennullers were I in his shoes."
  20. Subversion started suddenly, eyes snapping open as life returned to her body. "What page is it!?" She asked in terror, teleporting herself to Erryin and grabbing him by the shoulders. "Quick, before it drags him, and me with him, back down again!" @Hawks "Well... you can leave the worlds post-scarcity, I suppose. Just undo the evil empire bits." The Priest scratched his head. "Are you certain you're sincere? To be honest, I'd expected you to show up and attempt to kill me." "No, actually he is in the Void between Worlds." Noted Editor Nameless. "But the Void is not outside TLT. To my understanding it is the space between worlds in TLT, as otherwise the Witherlord and the withergeists would be wreaking havoc over the defenseless threads outside." "Not unless Cricket can get his Enuller magic working without obliterating the vault." Malevolence glared at Cricket over Sequence's shoulder. "Although now that the shielding is up the vault should be able to survive just about any explosion."
  21. I've just beaten Silksong's secret/true ending (I think) and my opinion stands. The game is awesome. Everyone should play it, if they don't mind dying a million times.

  22. I've been playing Silksong. And it is everything I could've wanted in a sequel. There is a ton of content, and I do mean a literal ton of content. Think you're almost finished, that you've acquired all the abilities, found all the areas, and now just need to search meticulously through every area to get to that 100% completion? Wrong! Here's a million more things to do, and tons more story content. The difficulty of this game is what I've been most worried about during the wait. I was a little worried that, as someone who's gotten all achievements, done the path of pain, and beat P5 with all bindings (separately) in Hollow Knight that Silksong would be a little too easy. My biggest fear was that I would steamroll my way through the game until maybe the last few bosses, never really being challenged. Was this the case? Heck no. This game is incredibly difficult and challenging, more than Hollow Knight every was. Team Cherry may have gone a little too far in some areas, (looking at you, double damage hazards) but overall this game has been an extremely fun, challenging experience for me that has by far surpassed Hollow Knight. (Steel soul is going to be insane).
  23. Update update: Silksong has gone from the best game ever made to THE BEST GAME EVER MADE!!!!

  25. Probably depends on Nightblood. Considering his development in KoWt, he might be able to selectively destroy just the manacles by the time of this book.
