  1. He's still made of chaotic darkness, and that wouldn't be his Narrationblade equivalent. A Narrationblade is made out of its wielder's soul. "Yes, a stupid move in my opinion. All I'm saying is, that guy's nature is antithetical to yours. You, me, Thaidakar, every narrator is fundamentally a being of creation. They can use that power to destroy, and they can use things like Mordite blades to get around their own weak points, but they will never be quite so lethal as a being of destruction. A being like Desolation."
  2. Subversion sighed. "Fine. I'll lay it out for you. That guy, he's a being of chaotic darkness. Close to a withergeist, but different. Much more powerful than the average withergeist, for one thing. You have a Narrationblade, yes? It's made of Prismite. What do you think his equivalant blade would be?"
  3. Subversion nudges him. "When'd you get the staff Rond? Too bad it dissolved."
  4. "You shouldn't be. Feanor, for all his murderous deeds, is still at heart a narrator. This one has no such limits."
  5. "Oh I agree entirely. You're far more dangerous than any narrator ever could be."
  6. "Go right on ahead." Subversion backed away from the fight. "He's right though. You don't understand. This Desolation isn't a narrator. Thaidakar was."
  7. "I suppose you do have a right to your arrogance. Very well, I won't interfere until you ask or Desolation attacks me."
  8. "I guess you don't need my help then." Subversion laughed, stepping back to watch the fight. "You do know that Thaidakar was a Narrator, correct?"
  9. "I'm being honest. I was trying to keep him from running away, but he didn't want to stick around long enough to agree on what our fight to the death would look like. Speaking of fights to the death, how dire is this situation looking? You look like you're in quite the tough spot."
  10. "Ah. I see. Well, I don't want that, so I won't be helping you."
  11. "Not sure I could. Or want to. Speaking of wanting things, what do you want?"
  12. "Friends? Not really. I'm pretty sure he still hates me at least a little."
  13. "He is called the Dreamsmith, and he can make weapons matched perfectly to their owners." Subversion appeared next to Platypus. "Hey. Just wanted to let you know that Feanor got away. I tried my best to stop him, but he got away. Sorry." She looked at Desolation. "Who's this?" Desolation has returned, and Falvan might be going on a quest to get a weapon.
  14. An inquisitor could still notice moving lines through a wall though, unless their steelsight just doesn’t work through walls at all.
  15. He could have noticed. There was a lot of dark energy being drawn upon, and it might allow him to return quicker. "I know little of him, aside from his reputation. He makes weapons, powerful ones. Supposedly, all you have to do is find him and he will make one for you."
  16. Desolation wasn't brought back by the ritual. "Yes indeed, I know a guy who makes weapons worthy of their owners. But I don't know how to get to him."
  17. "You'll be wanting something more safe, I suppose? Well, I know a guy who could help you with that." You could see how, if you looked thoroughly enough.
  18. "Summon? That wasn't a summoning ritual. Summoning rituals are easy. This ritual was way more difficult. It changed the very fabric of TLT itself." I RAFO'd because you never pass up an opportunity to RAFO someone . And because it didn't summon anyone. "A weapon? I suppose I could help with that. How about the Dohr Maul blade?"
  19. RAFO. The dark figure nodded to Falvan. "Thank you. You have no idea how important that ritual was to me. If there's ever anything I can help you with, just let me know."
  20. The dark figure continued chanting as the blackness flowing from Falvan began to coil around him. Soon, the dark figure was completely covered in a shroud of black smoke. Abruptly, the smoke dispersed, the chant stopped, and the flames went out. The dark figure looked at his hands. "I think... I think it worked!"
  21. 2157 - The Kandra’s corpses mutate into an acid monster and begin eating all the aethers.
  22. Wax’s seeing through wall trick worked because most of the metal lines weren’t moving. The pewter dust trick makes a whole ton of moving lines, making it impossible to discern which ones are your target.
  23. I mean, the SA forum does have more than twice the posts as any other book discussion forum besides Cosmere discussion. That seems like an indicator as to its popularity.
  24. Nameless squinted up at the fortress, then wove a gateway into it. “There. That should do it.”
  25. “All right.” The dark figure pulls out an ancient time and begins flicking through the pages. “Not if you stay out of the circle.” The dark figure begins chanting in a strange tongue, words seeming to echo with whispers. As he does this, the dark flames surrounding Falvan begin to burn more darkly, and a pure blackness begins to flow from his chest.
