    The way I saw it it was the illusion's future.

    Subversion ignored the blade as it passed harmlessly through her yet again, throwing the two halves of the sphere at Desolation and sending him into a vision of the future. A figure puffs into smoke, laughing. "Like what you see?"

    She wasn't lying though. She's very good at illusions. Subversion grabbed the golden strand and quickly formed it into a glowing sphere, which she tossed into the air.

    The blade went straight through Subversion to absolutely no effect. "You missed."

    "Huh. Are you just going to stall until you finish doing whatever it is you're doing to my powers, or are you going to attack me?"

    "So it's like leftovers from the last narrators you've fought?"
  8. NameIess
    "Sure. So what's it made of? Are you some kind of corrupted narrator?"

    "You'd like to think that, wouldn't you?" Subversion smiled. "So what's up with that weird Narrationblade of yours?"

    "That'll barely do anything either."

    "Which is why I said they will do nothing to me."

    "Yes well, none of your attacks will do anything to me."

    "Oh good. Because I was lying about that. I actually don't have any special anti-darkness powers." Subversion grinned. "You see, I'm actually just invincible."

    "Sure." Subversion held her hand to the side, and a tiny flame flickered briefly on the tips of her fingers. "I can burn away darkness."

    "I figured I'd just wait for you to explain it."

    "Yes. You just can't see them yet."

    "Well so could I. It's not an exclusive power." One of the Subversions charged towards the Desolations.

    "Numbers don't scare me." Subversion summoned a massive monster covered in spikes. "I could split infinitely."

    Moni didn't look at Micheal. She stared instead at her Plotblade, which was emanating a faint aura of age. "You're here. Good. I haven't found him yet."

    "I disagree. Possible to kill yes. Easy to kill, no." Subversion split into ten copies of herself, each exactly alike. "You don't know the half of my powers."

    "Funny. I'd say that too, if I wasn't facing something like you."

    "Yes." Subversion punched Desolation in the face, then summoned her delicate Narrationblade and took a step back from the Desolations. "Who wants to be first to die?"

    "You do?" Unintelligible followed Micheal. "Where?"

    "No. I haven't seen her since Shadow died. Have you?"

    Subversion gritted her teeth. "Fine. You want to find out what I can do? Go right ahead." She reached into her pocket, and pulled out... nothing. She froze for a moment. Where did it... "All right, you have five seconds!" She raised her seemingly empty hand towards Desolation. "Back off or else I use this!" Unintelligible opened the door. "You looking for Moni too?"
