    "Excellent." Subversion formed her Narrationblade into a boomerang and threw it at his head.

    Subversion yawned, tossing her Narrationblade from hand to hand as she waited for Platypus's secret weapon to finish charging.

    Nameless nodded slowly, gratitude and sympathy replacing his earlier pained emotions. "Thank you for telling me." He opened a gateway back to the clinic and went to walk through it, but hesitated just before stepping through. "Rue, I'm sorry one of us did that to you. I really am." With that, Nameless walked through the gateway and let it snap shut behind him, leaving Rue alone in the forest.

    The ex-shovel man gives Sleeper a frustrated look. "Can you leave Xiylna alone for five minutes? You're the one that keeps upsetting her."

    Subversion shifted her posture slightly, but otherwise remained standing where she was. "I thought I was supposed to be the one who relied on trickery to win fights. Not confident that you'll be strong enough to beat me without it?"

    Nameless clenched his fists, fury to match Rue's welling up inside of him. "We've been bonded for more than a year, yet you still think I'm one step away from becoming a volatile madman and killing everyone around me! You're suspicious of any man who has magic, even someone like TAAron! You attacked me for walking through a bloody gateway!" Nameless exhaled sharply, turning away from Rue and struggling to control his anger. When he continued, his voice was much softer, quiet enough that Rue probably couldn't have understood his words without their doubled bond. "Why? Just... why? Did a male channeler do something to you? Hurt you, or... someone close to you?" He sighed, anger draining away, leaving only a vague sense of confusion and pain. "I don't know why you should care about me, but please, can you tell me why you hate male channelers? Why you hate me? I don't want to argue, I don't want to manipulate you, I just... I just want to understand."

    Nameless stepped through another gateway. "Rue, please answer my question. I know you hate me, but can you at least tell me why you hate me?"

    Nameless opened a gateway to Rue's location and stepped through, closing it behind him. "Hey. I want to talk to you about something." @Edema Rue

    The ex-shovel man frowns at Sleeper. "Sorry, but I don't want to hire you at the moment. I need more information before I do something so drastic."

    Nameless was thrown against the wall behind him. "What was that for?" "I see. It does seem to work."

    Nameless walked into the room through a gateway. "Wasn't the point of the communication devices to stop needing to speak into people's minds?"

    "If you were to convert payment into money, how much would it take for you to kill the necromancer?"

    "I mean, what kind of payment do you take? Money? Souls? Enchanted objects?"
