  1. Lark nods. "Yes, we can do targeted amnesia." "Well that's good..." Nameless paused. "Actually, could we do a rabies test on her? I believe hydrophobia is one of the symptoms of rabies."
  2. "So what did he say?"
  3. "A kinship?" The ex-shovel man shook his head. "Sure. So what else did he say? That he was going to stop haunting my nightmares?"
  4. Nameless frowned. "You haven't been bitten by any animals recently, have you?" Lark walks into the room, holding a clipboard. "You're the one who wanted amnesia, correct?"
  5. "What're your thoughts on an IV? That way you wouldn't have to drink the water."
  6. Subversion wasn’t bribing the Doug-waffle, he was just trying to convince Platypus that she was involved.
  7. Subversion had faith in Falvan, as long as he remembered the secret to victory.
  8. The project appeared to be a thirty-page paper and presentation on the subject of why Narrators shouldn’t be moral. Subversion also declined this offer, as she’d already agreed to duel Platypus on page 2600. She did agree to fight Desolation after she’d beaten Platypus though, which probably wouldn’t take long.
  9. His phone automatically sent Doomie this text: “Hey @Doomstick, would you like to do this group project? It’s very important to the plot.”
  10. Platypus’s phone dinged. He’d received a text from Butt Venture: “Hey man, I won’t be able to help with the project. had to drop the class because of a family emergency.”
  11. The papers had a title that read: Group project rubric. Your group: Abalodor, Everyone, Butt Venture, and Doomstick.
  12. A bunch of papers stapled together appear in front of Platypus.
  13. In response, the intercom system releases an ear-splitting screech.
  14. The walls solidify right as Abalodor is halfway through, causing him to clip out of bounds and fall into the void. “If you can get through this, you can get through anything I can do. I’ll have no choice but to surrender.”
  15. The Doug-waffle's voice emanates from an ancient intercom, screechy and with so much static that it is nigh-impossible to understand "Welcome to my chamber of utmost annoyance. I'm so glad to welcome my first guests."
  16. He promptly tripped and fell face-first into an anthill.
  17. The Doug-waffle looks at Sleeper and uses his burgeoning powers of Annoyance, determining all the possible ways to annoy Sleeper and finding the most potent method for this. After calculating all of the possibilities, he decides to simply ignore Sleeper. All of Doomguy's attacks miss, and he gets one-shot by one of his own ricocheting bullets. -- All of the snacks had a bite out of them already though.
  18. Unbeknownst to Platypus, the Doug-waffle had inherited quite a few waffle powers, including the ability to never need to use the bathroom, so Platypus's plan was slightly flawed.
  19. The Doug-waffle did know this, but he also knew that although pencil lead was made from graphite, it was still referred to as 'lead' for reasons unknown. At the top of the stairs Platypus found the castle's only bathroom. -- Xyr's attempts to stabilize Xiahidia fail, as well over a hundred ghosts had, sensing weakness, surrounded Xiahida and begun annoying him to death. Then a few ghosts from a different continent joined, and the ensuing lag caused a server crash that reset the fight.
  20. The ghost reports back to the Doug-waffle and informs him that Johny has just been hired as the new recruiter.
  21. A moment later, a piece of mechanical pencil lead does the same to his other foot.
  22. He steps on a piece of pencil lead that somehow goes straight through his boots and embeds itself in his foot. — The ghost asks Johny if he’d like a job.
  23. He trips on the stairs and bangs his head against the low ceiling, then slides down thirty stories. — The ghost backs away, clearly intimidated by the trio’s annoyance prowess.
  24. As he crossed the threshold of the castle, Platypus stubbed his toe on the doorframe. — The ghost begins singing a completely different song in an even more off-key voice.
