  1. I know, I was asking for any tinfoil theories or speculations By Preservation's gonads, that's so true
  2. Loved how you subverted the Ideal of the Stonewards The thematic relations are definitely there, the Realmatics of the Primary & Secondary Divine Attributes you proposed is quite good too! Are they particular in regards to the Primary or Secondary Attribute corresponding to the Surge or the Intent?
  3. Any theories for which Shard(s) is/are in residence in the <Aethers planet name>?
  4. The things Hemalurgy can grant or "cure" are not life threatening, most of them are powers. Let's be honest, if Hemalurgy did become a known art, medicine is not what it would be used for. Better alternatives exist in the Cosmere, and would come to exist on Scadrial, for these. Soothing/Rioting for depression instead of Hemalurgic Mental Fortitude and Healthmind instead of Hemalurgic Health. The best use of Hemalurgy would probably be Aluminium, to take out harmful aspects of Investiture from people
  5. Kelsier is getting flanderized a lot over one comment by Brandon Biggest tear jerkers, for me, included: Human the Koloss, finding about Reen, Kelsier's reaction to Dox's death, Leras' quiet death, Elend's death, followed swiftly by Vin's death
  6. Linksssssss!
  7. Hey! Happy late welcome to the Shard! What's your fav Order right now, after completing OB
  8. Don't we all While we're at it, maybe also somehow get our hands on a completed Lightweaver of Rens
  9. Thanks, that's the one Stormlight book I haven't done a single reread of, so there's no way I'd have caught/remembered that
  10. Pregnant Edit: ninja'ed Transgender
  11. Flatulent
  12. That combination of the Divine Attributes makes a lot of sense. I didn't even realize the discrepancy with the number of Divine Attributes or how mismatched they seem when observing them as they are without associating them to an Order.

Why don't we lay down what we know: 1) A place (no matter how hard Brandon tries to obfuscate things) 2) Method of initiation into the magic system is different from Scadrial, Nalthis, Taldain or Sel (especially/specifically Elantris) 3) Preservation & Ruin have visited the world, most likely before creating Scadrial 4) Most likely a major Shardworld with how its magic is compared & contrasted, though might not be a 'world' in the conventional sense given Brandon's insistence 5) possibly has some similarities with Scadrial's subastral, eliciting a response from Ati
  14. Everyone must feel vindicated after Vol 3 That's definitely Hoid
  15. Nipple
  16. Contained
  17. Prioritization and triage are important skills in the field, if it is the next Ideal however, it will probably be phrased differently, as has already been noted, "I will protect those that need it most" is too similar to "I will protect those who cannot protect themselves"
  18. There's another planet, 'Lor', that might be the Aethers planet and originally was planned to be before the magic was transplanted to this version and what we see on Yolen in Liar of Partinel. Pagerunner advocates that as the Aethers planet.
  19. 1) This place is noted to have an excess of something that is relatively harder to come upon otherwise
  20. Um... I specifically said 'offering': given as a gift or symbolically displayed in a place of worship, not 'consume'
  21. I liked LoP settings more than Dragonsteel settings too. Much more haunting. The conflict between the two ecosystems were done very differently in each of them, plus the Shattered Plains (location of Dragonsteel, the metal) were transferred from Yolen to Roshar, so I wonder what Yolen would end up looking like now Speaking of, are you in the Vax is the Aethers planet camp?
  22. You've read Dragonsteel Prime and Liar of Partinel released chapters right? Have you read the full version from BYU?
  23. Lightweavers & Elsecallers are great suppliers with their Soulcasting. That's a lot of logistics that they're taking care of. Beyond that, the Elsecallers were prime liaisons with the spren, who are also sapient beings with a stake in the conflict. Alongside the Willshapers, the Elsecallers apparently also did cartography. From the Urithiru gem archive, they were also responsible for protecting perfect gems. Truthwatchers and Elsecallers were called the scholarly Orders and helped planning for the capture of certain Unmade. Lightweavers are mentioned as providing "spiritual sustenance", raising morale. Windrunners did do scouting, their Surges are ideal for this purpose. Adhesion, as the Surge of pressure and vacuum could help keep them safe during Highstorms. Skybreakers were mentioned as the military police of ancient Urithiru. Edgedancers apparently went around helping the common populace and actively participated in diplomacy "most articulate of the Orders", possibly both hard & soft sells, given the terror that the person whom the Edgedancers were visiting. Might've also served as combat medics and possibly also as assassins (probably not, because Honor, but in the future...). Dustbringers apparently did a lot of damage, and unnerved both their fellow Radiants (who saw them as toeing the line) and the common people (who looked at the destructiveness of their powers). Stonewards were mentioned as exemplary self-sacrifing soldiers. Bondsmiths probably participated in diplomatic relationships as well, as they are mentioned being with kings & "thrones", the Spiritual Surge of Adhesion would allow them efficacy with communication without having to face the hurdle of different languages and the godspren they Bonded earned them a lot of credibility. Urithiru was the city where all "roads" led during that age.
  24. Okay so far we have: 1) secondary spren theory Each Order has a secondary spren type, which are less sentient, such as Windspren for the Windrunners & Gloryspren for the Bondsmiths 2) Surges theory That each Order crafts their Plate from their own Surge 3) (incomplete) Plate manifestation theory That Shardplates are a natural result of the Nahel Bond+Surgebinding somehow, and the Plate is formed directly from Investiture 4) Bondsmiths theory ^ tl;dr: Bondsmiths forge Plates for the Radiants Most of the other theories involve the secondary spren in some manner (thought I'd keep track)
