  1. Hello there, and that would be me
  2. Do we have a concrete timeline for the events on Sel ? As far as I know we only have WoBs on when Elantris, the book was set and even those are estimates. The building of Elantris part is the most contentious part of what I said though, yeah. Anyway, thank you guys for indulging me with my theory, I'll eventually create a topic for it and we can discuss more then instead of taking over this thread
  3. we're reading the WoBs differently, let's just agree to disagree
  4. Kaladin's my favourite too Is there anything about the books or Brandon's writing style that you don't like?
  5. Hmm, I always saw it as the Surges being built upon the fundamental forces in the Cosmere or their equivalent. Not the Surges themselves being fundamental forces. I think the Surge of Adhesion or Transportation are Roshar specific, but Connection (or manipulation of Pressure & Vacuum) and the Three Realms are Cosmere wide
  6. They just seem more... atmospheric
  7. Nope you didn't, I checked, you must've forgotten The biggest indicator for me was the Pool and the apparent religious connotations associated with it. Like, the Elantrians getting old enough to want release going there to die but finding a new world. Devotion's Perpendicularity just gave the feel from both where it was physically located, to how it was narratively situated and the way it was described... it seemed as though it was placed there specifically for this purpose. Forget AonDor, it could very well be that the city of Elantris predates Devotion & Dominion's Splintering. After all, when the people who would become the Arelish first settled in what would become Arelon, they found Elantris already there, empty. Plus, in Mistborn: Secret History, the Ire mention Devotion in way as though they had actually met her. And like I said before, I've always wondered if the Ire might've been the original Elantrians. Also, did Devotion and Dominion just die to Odium? Ambition fought, Honor fought, Cultivation is still fighting. Devotion and Dominion must've fought as well, Elantris could have been a staging ground for the conflict between the Shards, which might've been why it was empty when it was found, having been on the side that lost
  8. The Polish covers are often way cooler *sighs*
  9. that one's because they wanted to catch the Radiants and prevent them from reaching Thaylen City to influence the outcome of the battle/interfere with the selection of Odium's champion. They knew that the Radiants were in Shadesmar by this point & it made logical sense to prevent them from possibly joining up. They might've also had a team near Urithiru around this time since Odium's forces didn't know where the team might ultimately choose to go, plus they wanted to invade Urithiru and presumably by this time had already been contacted by Taravangian @Broseph, you misspelled Oathgatespren as "oathgarespren"
  10. Hello Marcin! Let me the first to welcome you to our little corner on the internet and also ask you some questions if you don't mind. How did you come upon Brandon Sanderson's work? What's your favourite book by him (so far)?
  11. I like it. The contradictory elements of most theories regarding Autonomy was solved quite neatly here. It makes sense with the info we have and it slots together what seemed contradictory quite well.
  12. Onomatopoeic, like they teach kindergarteners, dogs say "bow-wow", cats say "meow" The movie Puss in Boots does something similar but for cats, "me-wow"
  13. I don't think regrowing a spike should be possible. To begin with that would need you to recreate the Investiture that was stored in the original spike. Hemalurgic spikes are made by cutting & grafting parts of Spiritwebs, one shouldn't be able to regrow someone else's Spiritweb as part of their own, or at least not be able to do so using only their perception of self, this should require more complex hacks, I think
  14. Welcome to the Shard!
  15. Close enough The answer is the entire Mansion Renoux, with its garden & its white marble
  16. warm again, very much so in fact
  17. Ooh burn
  18. You know what they say Dogs Bow Wow Cats Meh-ow
  19. That's an example of a reputation level that only lasts for one specific value. Other reputation levels last for (min number of rep) upto (max number of rep) There are two reputation levels which are only displayed for one specific number: the one you mentioned & The Torturer of Heralds @Claincy has all the reputation levels mapped out in this thread: (just scroll down a little bit)
