    Coronavirus would give the power to give other people powers, Joking aside, here's what we actually know of Ashyn's disease-based magic system: Since it's the microbes that give the powers, genetic disorders won't give powers. The powers we got to see in the Silence Divine reading were precognition, something that seems like it might be a bit similar to a Malatium Shadow, flight, transmutation of liquids. The diseases that gave the powers ranged from "the sniffles" to "deadly fevers"

    In both HoA and Secret History Kelsier tried to tell her to go away but Vin didn't react. Then her own well-honed instincts told her to avoid Hoid. I think he's talking about Hoid's importance to the Cosmere sequence in that quote

    Brandon does want to write Adien better after writing Steris and Renarin: We do have confirmation that Adien would appear in the sequels as a major character: It would be better, both in a narrative sense and for better representation that Adien would be high-functioning Autistic rather than completely cured, in my opinion

    I don't see why a Deadeye spren couldn't be Corrupted. They're still spren, pieces of sentient Investiture. We know Investiture can be Corrupted and we've seen Corrupted spren. I wonder if they'd be more vulnerable to Corruption?

    Cephandrius Maxtori is supposed to be the name closest to being Hoid's real name. Hoid was... Hoid's master's name. He learned Yolish Lightweaving from him as per the Liar of Partinel, which you should be able to access via this: In the 10th Anniversary Edition of Elantris, Hoid directly objects to his name being pronounced like Hoed.

    Oof but also hilarious. Shallan is disliked by a lot of Sharders and slammed in a lot of Topics but yours was the funniest. Yeah, she has a lot of faults and if I had to kill one of the ten major PoV characters I'd kill her. Heck there are actually plenty of Interlude characters I like more. I actually liked Shallan more in WoK. WoR fleshed her out but that's also where her personality got grating. In WoK, her chapters felt like a respite from the horror of the Bridgecrews. The latter chapters also added some mystery (I had gone into the book blind). She started going downhill in WoR. And yeah, her attitude towards Kaladin didn't help endear her to me either. She got a bit better in OB, I feel.

    The taste could be from crem. It has been hypothesized that crem aligned with Cultivation, like Stormlight did with Honor upon the Shards' arrival on Roshar

    Vasher giving up his Divine Breath for Nightblood is not a twist I saw coming when I clicked this Topic, tbh. It's pretty much a given to wonder if Vasher will heal someone at the cost of his own life given how that works but I never wondered if that someone could be Nightblood... I rather like it! But a Divine Breath is approx 2k Breaths, iirc, would that be enough?

    Different continent. We haven't seen magics from different lands because they tend to get weaker as they get further from their homeland.

    Ugh, I have so many questions regarding Sel and these two Shards Where are the other nations' magics? What about multiculturalism, like in the Rose Empire or Fjordell Empire, how does that affect the magic system? What would happen as (or if) they keep getting more pluralistic? How can Shardic Power be contained in one Realm? How does the Spiritual Realm interact with Sel via the Dor's Investiture? I'm so looking forward to the sequels
