  1. As it was explained, Steel Inquisitors have too many spikes resulting in a frayed Spiritweb, that is why they have a linchpin spike, removing which kills them. Koloss have 4 iron spikes, they are a patchwork of Spiritwebs, not just stolen magical abilities but inherent physical strength of other people which results in diminished faculties apparently, which leaves them vulnerable. Removing their spikes should leave them both weaker & easier to affect them with mental Allomancy, finally killing them if all spikes are removed, I think. Kandra only have 2 spikes, making them comparatively less open to Shardic puppetry to the others. But their base form, as Mistwraith have Cognitive blockage so again, relatively vulnerable. They'd just revert to their previous form, suffering a death of personality if they don't get back their spikes soon enough. A spiked individual is much better off than Hemalurgic entities, only hearing Ruin's voice, which can be bad enough but really only begins to become as problematic as the other three over a long period of time or psychological vulnerability.
  2. Welcome to the Shard! Hope you have a fun RP experience!
  3. Welcome to the Shard! Careful or you might get spoiled (seriously there are spoilers everywhere, tread carefully, mate)
  4. All Shards of Adonalsium were originally equal in power. Some have Invested more of themselves, they would be weaker than those who've Invested less or not at all. Preservation, for example, became weaker than Ruin because of creating humanity. Odium is stronger because he doesn't Invest in planets. Harmony, as per his own words, has difficulty taking action as the two powers he holds are in direct opposition to one another in Intent. Odium, on the other hand, has already killed multiple Shards, including taking on two Shards at once by some means.
  5. There's actually a bit more on Felt's background if you're interested:
  6. Go to the Arcanum (https://wob.coppermind.net/) and use keyword searches. It works far better than sifting through tags. Use something like Nightblood+Investiture to look for WoBs where both terms are mentioned or just ask in Q/A if the WoB is obscure
  7. Hmm... Jasnah looks a bit weird here
  8. Again, looks good but light pencil sketches just look unfinished
  9. Well done! You should render that in ink though
  10. Welcome to the Shard! A warning: the Gentlemen Bastard series gets kind of cold after book 1, book 3 was just... dull and the focus was not even on anything remotely similar to what it promised. Also the author's among those pulling a Rothfuss or a R. R. Martin or whatever you call it when the next book just doesn't come
  11. Welp, I don't think Kelsier would've liked being called that, @BrightlordKelsier But eh, Vin's roast applies Welcome to the Shard
  12. Bruh, you roast... just...  * salutes *

      Thank you.

  13. He can probably hurt some Splinters. Though we only have one comparison currently: with the Stormfather, who is more Invested than Nightblood¹ but Nightblood gets stronger as he consumes more Investiture². He might become the monster you all in the Shard think he is, but he isn't that monster yet. 1: https://wob.coppermind.net/events/385-orem-signing/#e12591 2: https://wob.coppermind.net/events/360-legion-release-party/#e10833
  14. Welcome to the Shard! Honestly, Shallan and Kaladin aren't good for each other. It's better this way.
  15. You can go here: https://www.17thshard.com/forum/topic/60219-aether-of-night-manuscript-requests/ and ask for a copy Oh yeah, the anti-spam measures, should go away with increased post count
  16. Wow, turns out the Cosmere is full of Elves
  17. Not all Shards have direct counters but some do, at least two that we know of can be rendered relatively underpowered via this. The rest of the steps could still work for the other Shards, assuming one has the resources for it. Also, Nightblood can't hurt a Shard, only the Vessel.
  18. Why not use multiple steps? (assuming one has the resources... somehow) take two diametrically opposed Shards, Splinter them, then have Cognitive Shadows with artificial Connection become their Vessels.
  19. Well, the Singers kinda fit, since they are close to the E̶a̶r̶t̶h̶, err Roshar. Heck, some of them are even Dark Elves (the Fused)!
  20. I would say that the Spiritual Realm wouldn't really differentiate between organic & inorganic parts of a whole, as long as the person does perceive the prosthetic as a part of themselves but I also don't think that's a normal way of thinking among amputees at all. As for AI, if they perceive their devices as their bodies, yes. If they think of them as instruments that they can inhabit, then no. A cyborg, as you put it, would probably benefit from Cosmere healing as they would consider their hardware as a part of themselves, an AI might consider their being to be data, which might complicate things.
  21. That Stormfather absorbed Honor's Cognitive Shadow has been confirmed in-book by the Stormfather. We don't really know what exactly that entails
  22. Welcome to the Shard!
  23. Hello and welcome! Don't worry about theorizing Cosmere stuff too much, you can also gush about your fav characters, books etc

    Fused ideals?

Well technically the Voidbringers are the Ashynite humans The Fused, though they look like Singers for the majority of OB, look more like spren when they're not possessing a Singer body, as we see in Venli's Interludes, see the chapter "This One's Mine", iirc. They inhabit the original Singer's Gemheart, which unlike with Regals, kills the possessed individual. There is no bonding going on between the two. The original is killed and their body's patterns shift into the Fused's. Besides, Oaths are Honor's purview, not Odium's
  25. Also Jane Seymour was Henry VIII's favourite. Evi was not Dalinar's favourite, he had his heart set on Navani from the beginning.
