  1. Since the Ire senior members are all Elantrians, it's plausible that they need Connection to the Dor to sustain themselves, so yeah they might've been drawing in the Investiture that was being pumped into the fortress. It's a reasonable assumption.
  2. Yes, but clearly they've really skilled with Connection they could one day discover a way to make it work I mean they made Connection juice in the sphere that Connected Kelsier to Preservation enough to allow him to become an imperfect Vessel¹. (Stormlight Archive) I could definitely see them making it work. 1: https://wob.coppermind.net/adv_search/?query=ire%2Bconnection
  3. The large pipeline was presumably pumping Investiture from the Dor It's not an exact WoB but
  4. That's Vathi's Aviar. She's like Kokerlii, her Aviar talent is the ability to conceal minds
  5. Immortality? Here's how I define it for most fantasy: 1) You could be unaging, unaffected by time, but can be killed by (relatively) conventional means 2) Or you could be unaging and unkillable by any conventional means 3) Or you just plain cannot be killed The first kind can be achieved through magical means: like having a high enough Heightening, or more imperfectly by Compounding age. Cosmere healing muddies the water between the two groups, with how much injury they can survive. Sitting solidly in the second group would be Cognitive Shadows like as well as Vessels of the Shards. You cannot kill them through conventional means, it's not healing that needs fuel, it's their very nature. Vessels of the Shards are on the higher end of the second group: you cannot hurt them by conventional means. Period. There's no example of the third kind of immortality in the Cosmere
  6. They manifested the stones from the Physical Realm into the Cognitive Realm, (Stormlight Archive) Or Kelsier himself did with the flames Investiture from the Dor was also being pumped into it, which was flowing through into the fortress and powering it, I suspect it was that which allowed the Connection.
  7. Found this on Discord, for those who might not be aware
  8. So up next would be chapter 9 or chapter 7?
  9. They often split big books into two, so that's probably part 1 of Rhythm of War. Part 2 would probably be named differently, like they've done before with WoK, WoR & OB Don't overthink it Here's the previous German covers: Yeah...
  10. I don't have a choice... It is right there, so I must
  11. Also I forgot, when did the Oathgates start allowing transition between the Realms? Did Dalinar, Bonded to the Stormfather, the shadow of Honor, ("the parent", on whose orders the Oathgate spren stopped allowing transition between the Realms), convince the Oathgate spren to allow it again? Edit: spoilers for rest of the book
  12. What do you mean?
  13. I liked that feeling of reading Sigzil being in danger, of saving him potentially meaning a real clash next time, just one man's life on the scales, and yet I did not for a single nanosecond entertain the possibility that Kaladin would let that happen. Navani wants to look into the Spiritual Realm, possibly hearing the Rhythms. What would happen when Moash is captured? It'd be wicked to see Kaladin and Navani butting heads over Moash's fate
  14. They switch depending on their talents, it's really weird. I got worried at this point:
  15. Szeth stopped at the edge of the Thrill, afraid that it'll take him over. He helped Lift get the drop & helped Kaladin defend Dalinar. He wasn't directly involved in Nergaoul's capture
  16. Kaladin thinks she's just testing him, but he learned all that maneuvering from copying, dueling & racing her
  17. 1) The Heavenly Ones have honour 2) Kaladin's wrong, I think, they do lose a little bit of themselves upon being killed 3) Is Leshwi... is she teaching Kaladin? 4) More Truthwatchers confirmed! 5) So Truthwatchers can use Illumination to cast illusions. Renarin can use light that have esoteric effects sometimes. Voidbinding? Something more fundamental leaking through because of the mixing of powers? What's his futuresight then? A Resonance? Illumination of Progression? 6) Moash has 20/20 vision, I'm jealous. Rushu is easily distracted, I can relate. 7) I'd be happy if Shallan just offs Ialai anti-climactically
  18. Yes, Atium shows you the futures of all objects plus mental capacity to sort through it, electrum was limited to possible futures of the Allomancer.
  19. I don't think aluminum could reverse Savantism. Your Spiritweb gets altered by Savanthood. It isn't harmful Investiture, it's mutated Investiture, permeated through your Spiritual self: it's becomes a part of your own Spiritweb. Just like Cosmere healing wouldn't work on it, because it applies your Spiritual ideal onto your Physical body, and your Spiritweb has itself become altered. Aluminum wouldn't be able to do anything either: because it's not harmful Investiture that's affecting you, it's your own inherent Investiture that has been altered by sustained exposure to certain type(s) of Investiture.
  20. Do we have any confirmation regarding Ati & Leras' relationship?
  21. Canonically, we don't know. We never got to see a Full Feruchemist (or Mistborn) using all the metals, nor do we have a WoB on this, but theoretically, after seeing era 2 Southern Scadrian tech, many of us suspect that something like that could work. Just one small thing, I'd change the wording to be clearer that if one fills Nicrosil by leeching Investiture from their other metalminds, they would no longer have any Investiture in those other metalminds, but they could still store, just not tap (because what was stored got converted into Investiture, which then got stored in the Nicrosilmind).
  22. Welcome to the Shard!
