What options did the Listeners, specifically Venli have?
Dancer replied to Oltux72's topic in Stormlight Archive
Not owning up to Gavilar's assassination would probably work. Also not have Szeth dress up in white and be seen with the Singers before said assassination. The whole war as well as the resurgence of the Fused could have been avoided if they didn't have this strange custom about how assassinations take place. -
That is what I am worried about. If that is the case it would mean that every Allomancer is essentially a Mistborn when it comes to Atium's alloys. Hopefully if he does change the way that Atium works he makes it so that only pure Atium can be burnt by all.

Candidates For the Six Remaining Shards (A Simple Theory)
Dancer replied to a topic in Cosmere Discussion
Well not all divine beings are considered good so I guess it could work. Lucifer represents hubris so you could count that in as well. -
I wonder if this Atium change is a hint as to what he is going to do in the books. Like everyone has said already, it is clearly within Harmony's power to change the Spiritwebs of all Scadirans to be able to burn Atium without being a Mistborn. Maybe this will be the significance of the return of the "Lost Metal." Edit: If he is changing it so every Aollomancer can burn Atium does that mean every Ferring would be able to store it as well?

with the amount of Investiture TLR can generate he would probably be able to wild Nightblood and still use his powers like Szeth does.

I got Elsecaller. This came as a surprise. I thought that I would more Skybreaker or Truthwatcher. Interestingly they were both equal second.
-
Allik teaches Marasi and the gang to tap Brass in their sleep in BoM. It would seem that you can tap a metalmind unconsciously it just takes practice. You might not be able to store this way though.
-
Mass is conserved yes. It would just be more practical for the explosion to be concentrated in a smaller volume with something like Tungsten the with something less dense like water. As a planetary terrorist you need to know these things.
-
Because it is so dense that you wouldn't need to create much to cause a huge explosion.

A thought occurred to me, how would cybernetic enhancements from era 4 interact with Cosmere healing. We know that healing in the Cosmere such as Stormlight and F-gold are very influenced by how the user perceives themselves. If someone had a cybernetic prosthetic arm for years and had it blown off. If that person also had access to healing magic would they be able to heal that cybernetic arm or would it just grow their original biological arm? Would you be able to do this for other things like complete cyborg bodies or for an AI that has been placed in an Android body?

Does A shard Have More Investiture than the Planet of Roshar?
Dancer replied to Dwmaster204's question in Cosmere Q&A
Yes a Shard has much more Investiture then one planet. The Shards Ruin and Preservation created the planet Scadrial and still had an enormous amount of Investiture left over. Brandon has said that Harmony (the combined power of Ruin and Preservation) would be able to Influence the entire Scadrian solar system. -

The Lord Ruler when holding the well of ascension. Even after the holding the power he is terrifying. All the Shard holders.

This could work as stated in WoB's but you can't just use any old metal. It has to be the metals that are Allomanticly/Feruchemicly viable. That includes the right purity for the base metals as well as the right percetage mixture for the alloys. It wount work if these requirements aren't met. This is probably why there has not been to many instancies of Hemalurgy outside of Scadrial. The intent to harm or steal something when stabing someone would be pretty common but hitting the bind points as well as stabing with the right metal means Hemalurgy happening by acident is very unlikely.

A case for atium and lerasium on a post-Catacendre Scadrial
Dancer replied to Staenbridge's topic in Mistborn
I thought the Era 3 plan was supost to be an 80's spy thriller regarding a team of Mistings/Ferings hunting down a Mistborn. If Harmony realy want's no Mistborn he can just stop creating the Mists. No Lerasium that way. Or reright everyone's Sprirtweb so that they have a Spiritul block preventing them from accessing the Metalic arts. Like the Kundra have. -
Either way the person buring Atium does not touch the Aluminum burner with thier Investiture. They are not trying to push investiture into them to create an effect. So their should be no Aluminium interference. Any kinetic Investiture gives off pulses that A-bronze can detect even A-copper (if you can pierce the cloud). A-aluminum should be no different. If it doesn't effect other powers that don't directly interact but obsurve then Atium should still work on them.

Speculation about era three and four metallic arts rarity
Dancer replied to Hoidlovesbacon's topic in Mistborn
Plus if Harmony wanted he could just make some Lerasium to create more Mistborn. Or change the Spiritwebs of all the Ferrings around to become full Feruchemist. It really all depends on whether Harmony wants more metalborn or not.- 21 replies

Theories about Future Magic Implications
Dancer replied to honorblades's topic in Cosmere Discussion
This. Once Hemalurgy is recognised outside of Scadrial there will be spikes flying all over the place. At that point the saying "don't trust anyone pierced by metal" will really hold true.- 25 replies

Hoid does appear in Era 2 Mistborn which takes place between books 5 and 6 of Stormlight. Between now and then he must have found a way to get off Roshar. If he still has his Spren or just left it in Roshar we don't know. But it is a safe bet that he still has his Spren at that point.
-
Unfortunately for you Brandon has now Canonized that anyone can use Breaths to Awaken, you just need the Breaths and the right commands. Also anyone can Surgebind. You just need to attract a Spren. Sand Mastery and Allomancy are difficult as they require that you have the right genetics. Unless you can hack your Spiritweb or use some medallion type tech you won't be able to do either of those. Edit: Here is the relevant WoB

The only time we ever see someone burn Aluminium in the books was Vin in TFE. When she burnt it all of her metals including the Aluminium was wiped from her system instantly. It is only one case so we can't be to sure but it would seem that Aluminium will purge all Investiture in your system and if there is nothing left it will destroy itself as well. I don't think that it would stop someone seeing your Atium shadow. All that A-Aluminium does is purge the soul of unwanted Investiture. Atium allows you to see the future by following the connection between you and your future self. I don't think that there is any overlap here that would allow you to interfere with the Atium burner.

I always thought that this was going to be the way Mistborn were going to return in era 3. When the Scadrians expand and explore the rest of Scadrial there will be a sect of isolated people like the Terris that will select breed to create stronger Allomancers and Mistborn.
-
So I just recently found this WoB. This brings up the question, would a bronze Seeker be able to detect the Highstorms on Roshar? No one but Vin was able to detect the WoA as it was being filled and that was a lot of Investiture but it wasn't kinetic. Would the Highstorms be easier since they are one extremely Invested and two actively spraying Stormlight everywhere?
-
Chromium works on all forms of Investiture. It is not limited to kinetic Investiture only. It is just better at kinetic Investiture.
