Because you almost never had that happen. Historically the only empire I can think of that did something like that was the Incas, but they had really high mountains that allowed them to easily mummify their kings. Pretty much ever other empire built large tombs for their kings.

Somewhere around there. Edit: also Shards can apparently just make new metals if they want Edit: x2, someone else pls post. Shards can possibly have more than one metal.
-
Yeah, I think he's going by natural talent, because Vin with the Well could do it

Currently? It's around (1.703*1019000*X*S*V)+16*3*2* Where X is an unknown number above 16 and less than infinity S is a completely unknown number, repreenting the number of possibe intents of Shards And V is the number of ways that vessles can change shardmetals

I really don't think so, now it could be an Oathbringer Honorblade, but I highly doubt that they just have this one king's dead body enshrined in the capital. I find Wyrn turing a Skaze into a shardblade more likely.

The Sword of Harmony vs the Son of honor
Frustration replied to bmcclure7's topic in Cosmere Discussion
The only way for that WoB to be true is if they assassinated them. In SH Leras says that Kelsier killing an Inquisitor is the most impressive thing he's ever seen, so no one else has beaten them in combat. Versatility isn't an atribute unto itself. You need power behind it. Plot armor. -
Odium didn't shove the remains of Honor into the Cognitive realm either. Nor did he corrupt all of the Dor's Investiture. Him not doing it does not mean it isn't possible. We know for a fact that it is possible, you can turn stormlight into breath if you know what you are doing. Omnipotence is all powerful. Omniscience is all knowing. And there are things that Investiture simply cannot do. It's not an impossibility thing, it's a limitation of Investiture. Shards can't

The Sword of Harmony vs the Son of honor

When he's climbing the Shaw he says he runs out of steel faster than he thought, and has to take another vial. -
So most time pushing on Shardblades comes up this WoB is brought in at some point That says duralumin, and a strong push could probably do it. However, there are some problems with basing our understanding off of that. The first is that duralumin's power is proportional to the amount of the other metal available. And the second is the word 'probably' But today, I found a newer WoB That says that it would be beyond the power of anyone we have seen. So TLR couldn't push on Shardblades, which is just wild to me.

So apparently, you can combine spren. My one question is what kind of surges would these fusion spren give? Is it like one surge from each spren, or do you get two from each in one? And what kind of oaths would there be? And what about fabrials, how would those be affected? Just, why Brandon. Power creep like this is completely unnecessary.

Why the Ghostbloods want Stormlight so badly
Frustration replied to Frustration's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Which would make them feruchemists, or allomancers. The only reason it happens is because readers expect it to. Which is dumb, but that's what he's going with The powers would still be there, even if you fueled them differently. Using the Dor or Stormlight is irrelevant, the power exists independently of that. -

That was pushing Kaladin's abilities, and he almost passed out doing it. They won't have powers if they don't have spren. In fact the WoB itself says that Hoid is the only one to maintain powers. Additionally the only fuel source they would have is the Dor, which does glow. -
Just because Odium doesn't consider it cost effective, or is able to do it doesn't mean it can't be done. Odium can't attack people directly either. I would say no, because while a Shard would have to go out of their way to expend all of their power, there are still a lot of things that their power cannot do, no matter how much they have. The main thing being touching the Beyond. That sounds like one I remember Is this it?

The Sword of Harmony vs the Son of honor
Frustration replied to bmcclure7's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Why else would Harmony have prepared them and said to use those vials instead of his normal ones? I am also certain it is somewhere in the book, but I can't find it right now, I'll keep looking. -

He has been taking pewter. All of the vials Harmony gave him had all 16 metals. -
The Sword of Harmony vs the Son of honor

Yeah, but it wasn't enough to allow him to swim, all it did was sustain him slightly longer, and even that was failing. Which is my point, his other metals are so weak he might as well not have them. -
Your body will still exist after you die, but you are still dead. Saying that shards are still alive after being splintered because parts of them are left over is like saying someone is still alive after going through a meat grinder. But even if you want to argue that, we know that the intent of Investiture can change, so if you splinter a shard, and then change the intent of their Investiture, so that no Investiture has the intent of that shard, then no pieces of them exist. Now that would be almost impossible to do, but the fact remains it can be done. He did not say that they were infinite, he said they were ESSENTIALLY infinite. That's a big difference. Anything other than infinite is not omnipotent, and I would ask to see this WoB, as nothing comes up when you search Heat+death+shard Yeah, and nothing in cannon contradicts them.

Skybreakers fly in straight lines, not arcs. When Kaladin does a loop he has to constantly reapply lashings in order to do so. Not to mention that they don't glow, and that without their spren they wouldn't have powers. They are authorized to use their Dor supplies, a single push and they could tear a massive hole in the bottom of the ship. Manhole covers, buildings, cars, there's a lot of metal. -
Oh there definitely are, just like there are lighteyes outside of eastern Roshar.
-
Neither of the aimians are native to Roshar.
-
It has probably been hidden. The oldest ones I can find are from days after the Shards creation, and are in tech support.
-
Kelsier likes to do things he isn't supposed to.
-
When you die your body will still be there. Doesn't change the fact that you're dead.
-
There is, I remember that now. Here it is

I would have agreed, but as I thought about it, you need to say the ideals as well. You can live the third ideal for years, but until you say it, you're still second ideal.
