  1. Be assertive, and say 'You read Brandon Sanderson.' No questions, just a statement, it puts you in charge of the conversation, and makes you seem more confident.
  2. So I was studying body focuses, and I couldn't help but think of Shardblades. The body focuses are: Inhalation, Exhalation, the soul, eyes, hair, blood, oil, nails, bone, and flesh. And we know shardblades have an interesting reaction with most of these. They sever the soul, burn eyes, can cut hair and nails, without the subject being dead, turn flesh grey, instantly kill when they cut the spine and(maybe) sever limbs when they pass through the bone. So, that leads to the conclusion that they do something interactions with blood, oil, and the lungs, but what those are I cannot guess.
  3. Just throwing up a massive illusion and then sneaking up on a Mistborn should be effective.
  4. Why to your spren? Just store your Conection to Roshar
  5. Against the strength of shardplate? Anything that could possibly be moved by a Mistborn would be torn to shreds. They aren't fabrials.
  6. No it won't, even when it shatters plate still defelcts that attack. Just cracking it will not be enough.
  7. Just storing Connection would work, and then you still have powers.
  8. That's not being immune, that's healing from the damage Nightblood might be, I'll admit that. That's just immune to the supernatural cutting, it still has to deal with the force, and can be cut nonmagically
  9. A more recent WoB says that Radiants are more invested I know If they fly above they swipe a blade through that steel line and they drop. Without duralumin that won't work, and with duralumin you can't drive the bullet in deeper, so the plate will heal, while the shardbearer runs you down as you try to replenish your metals.
  10. Nothing is immune to Shardblades. Even finding something that merely resists them is hard, but even then they can still kill you with blunt force trauma. That's why I said versatility is not a good unto itself, you have to be good to start with. And most of Mistborn's powers on a scale of useless to mediocre. Honestly given how plate is basically immune to coins, and that shardblades can cut through steel lines, I'd give a normal person borrowing living shards with a set of gemstones a fair chance against a Mistborn, or Wax in this case. Let's not forget that Shardplate makes it's wearer immune.
  11. RoW page 188 confirms it. And leeching wouldn't work as it's their innate Investiture. And I doubt that storing Investiture would work as it's the Connection issue that causes it. And if you do that you retain your powers, so they can't be Skybreakers doing that.
  12. You aren't old yet
  13. You can't make invested objects using different types of Investiture without a lot of hacks. Like you can't soulcast a bunch of Lerasium. I also doubt that you could heal Kandra bones as they aren't a part of their souls.
  14. I automatically beat all of you if this is the case. I am tired mentally, emotionally, physically, and also of being old. Plus I'm bored on top of that.
  15. You can use powers while being leeched So even if somehow a Mistborn avoids the death sword, and incredible strength, they are still losing their arm.
  16. Did I question it's validity? Aside from spinning metal rods, which is not what Leras was referring to, there isn't any style to go with it. There's a saying, and I have no idea who said it but it goes like this "I do not fear the man who has practiced ten thousand kicks one time, I do fear the man who has practiced one kick ten thousand times" In other words versatility makes something already good better, otherwise it just gives you more ways to fail. In chess the most versatile piece is the pawn, as it can become most of the other pieces. However, aside from the king, every other piece is better in just about every conceivable way. In fact the Pawn's only redeeming trait is that when it reaches the other end of the board it's not a pawn any longer. Alternatively you might have heard about competitive Pokemon. In single battles on Pokemon Showdown, a pokemon is placed into a tier based on how much it is used. And because people play to win, the most used Pokemon are the better ones. Ditto, Smeargol, and Mew are about the most versatile pokemon there are. And aside from Mew, they all suck. With Mew being in the highest tier of Standard play in sword and shield. However, compare that to Deoxys-attack. One of the least versatile pokemon, but with the same typing and stat total as mew. Deoxys-attack dies to almost any attack due to its defenses being so low. But it is banned from standard play, because it is such a good attacker that it doesn't need to be good defensively. Now I know these are games not real combat, but my point is that versatility is not a desirable attribute unto itself.
  17. That still doesn't work, as Radiants can't leave Roshar due to their Investiture.
  18. No evidence to the contrary, is not evidence in favor
  19. You should read it. It does not say infinite, just essentially so. Meaning a calculated and determined amount, that is so large it couldn't reasonably be used. Or read HoA, Ruin was more powerful than Preservation, and TLM reaffirms that.
  20. Then there are things that Investiture can do which he can't, because we know that that is possible. Shards do not have unlimited power
  21. You can make notes about what's in copperminds, and you can store muscle memory for languages.
  22. That one's already been done.
  23. There are powder, and gum like poisons.
  24. This is possible
  25. I think rather than just storing breath in the toxin, it would be better to awaken it. So get a nerotoxin and give it the command along the lines of "When you enter the bloodstream don't do anything until you reach the brain, then cause as much damage as possible"
