Spren in conjoined fabrials react to it, because they can no longer sense their other half, so they move away from the aluminum in order to maintain that Connection. They don't sense the aluminum, they sense their Connection being interupted.

If Ranette Made Radiant Hazekiller Rounds
Frustration replied to Duxredux's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Considering how much stormlight they can hold, they'd probably just tank the shot and run you down regardless. And why is shooting a radiant's plate more effective than shooting them? Living plate doesn't require Stormlight to function, only to repair itself. Coating themselves in abrasion would dramatically weaken the impact of any bullets, and Division would burn them up, though you are going to want to use aluminum bullets anyway, so those can be ignored. Other than that it all looks good, this is really well thought out good job. -
It would take a lot of reasoning out to tell it apart from air, or paper, or glass, and so on, you would have to move and watch as it covers lines behind it, which requires a level of inteligence that the Lumarian Aethers just don't have.

Can they? When was that confirmed?

Um, no it isn't? 716 is in Szeth Interlude 9. He also does it in the prologue.

The aether still needs to be able to see the aluminum, which they probably can't do, as steelsight, atium and other investiture detection stuff can't.

Hmm, I'll have to check later today, it would be unforunate if my notes were incorrect. For the moment however it's enough that Full lashings can expand outward from the one creating them, OB chapter 64

WoK 716, sorry I don't have the chapter, I'll try and get it later.
-
Answer: It doesn't. It works because Brandon says it does, no matter how you try and make it work no ammount of Science can explain everything it's doing. Here's some WoBs about all of the wierd things about it: https://wob.coppermind.net/collections/979/

You could see Shardblades, but the more I think about it I don't think you could see lashings, I guess it all comes down to how atium shadows interact with light. But given that even blind people could use Atium, I don't think it shows light. Thinking about it, did anyone using Atium ever describe seeing where the Mists would go? ... You're probably right, and I don't like it.

You can cut steel lines with shardblades. Not sure what it means, but even if it could be redone, the shock factor alone cannot be underestimated.
-
The Seers in HoA didn't have bows, and don't underestimate the power of full lashings, as seen in the chasm scenes Windrunners can throw them, if Kal and the others can establish a parimeter they can slowly draw the full lashings in until the seers are all trapped, and unable to move. Elend is the only one who could escape and shardblades can cut his steel lines. As a returned Vasher has soma latent fortune, it would be intresting to see how those interact, and he's definately skilled enough to overcome atium.

Radiants win pretty easily. First they soulcast a large stone fortification around them with a single entrence. Then Kaladin stands in the entryway, and uses his plate to open vaccums around the kolosses heads, while he kills any that gets close with a shardblade. Eventually enough Koloss would die the rest couldn't get in and then they just wait for the spren to kill off the rest of them.

.... What? May I have the context for this?

Itzal glanced back towards the incoming army, they were getting close now. He could almost taste upcoming conflict. It was a true shame that this wasn't one of the main armies, he would have loved to see his handiwork in action. As it was he could barely contain himself. He got to be part of an actual seige. At that moment he heard a sound, just like the bell that had rung not so long ago, audible only to him. "They're here."
-
"That'll work." "I'd get off of that, in a pinch we can cut the line and drop it down on any invaders inside."
-
"Well, my knife will have to do then," Itzal said, taking his large hunting knife from his belt and holding it out to her. "Hopefully you won't have to use that, but I'd rather have you armed if it comes down to it."
-
"We don't need to take all of them, we just need to be a hard enough target that they don't think it's worth it to fight us. Staying here only one of them can attack us at once, so long as we control the top of the stairwell we win," Itzal said. Not to mention the bell acts as a powerful weapon if we need to use it, and I have more than just a sling for my defense, Itzal thought, resting a hand reassuringly on his sword.

Oh, the other resonance, my bad. Would it surprise you to learn that this is not the first time this confusion has happened in my conversations?

"We stand and fight," Itzal said, taking out his sling, and reaching into his pouch, he had several oblong lead projectiles inside, that he had taken the time to inscribe "Catch" on. "Val, you've hunted with a blowgun back on Vitera haven't you?" @DramaQueen
