  1. It's interesting that the death rattle specifies spilling blood on ones hands, so maybe we could be dealing with an unmade?
  2. Did you read the first post? We must celebrate boredom Hoc erat odiosis.
  3. You are asking for trouble, you just dissed one of the greatest works of Fantasy.
  4. Not entirely he spoke about the storms being above silence, not "the silence above"
  5. "Above silence, the illuminating storms-dying storms- illuminate the silence above." - WoK end note. I was looking at this in the coppermind and I remembered that in the book it points out that the silence was both above and below the storms, but the only way someone would know that is if they could fly. So gravitation must be involved, implying a battle in the storms. Also note the term storms, not storm, so both Everstorm and Highstorm are present. Dying storms could mean that both Storms will at some point be destroyed. Anyway those are my thoughts, feel free to pick them apart.
  6. Ca va(my phone can't make the accent for the c)
  7. Lopen had gravitation in OB before his Oaths, the Squires fly all the time.
  8. Closer to a Braize/Roshar comparison Surges naturally come in those pairs.
  9. GUYS!!! Idea! Beavernalsium.
  10. The books are an interesting entity as the older I get/ more time I read them, I understand more I am less bored reading them I'll admit I am not yet to the point I can read them with no boredom, but I think it's worth it to read them every few years. Also the movies ruined Pippin, he was so smart in the books and then they decided they needed a dude with three brain cells. Are you saying that you find The Silmarilion dull? I have to ask what you are on because it is almost certainly illegal, The Silmarilion is awesome, I was very interested in that, but I read the appendixes of Return of the King, and occasionally would read my history book for fun, so I could just be weird.
  11. That is the point this place is the abode of someone very important in world we have seen Hoid here this place has very little Cosmere sigificance aside from Hoid we have only seen one main character here, but two others have mentioned it there was a death here the planet this place is on has only one resident shard the planet has had more than one shard resident in the past and a new correction clue 4 is only referring to protagonists so you get a real clue this place is near a political center but the important person mentioned in clue 1 is not political
  12. Could be that ash became a Herald later, but that has other implications
  13. Perhaps that might be more relatable, however in terms of being dark Dalinar at the rift is far beyond anything Shallan has. And Shallan's misses it's mark for me and many others. In terms of relatability as you like it so much 1 in 4 people have depression, so Kaladin is very much not whinny and I'm tired of hearing that, have you any idea what it is like to wonder if ceasing to exsist might be preferable to what you see in the future? Because I can(note I never considered suicide, but I did wonder if nonexistence might be better than even the best future I saw.) As to bigotry I'm tired of that accusation as well, at the time every lighteyed that Kal had known had betrayed him in some fashion, was a slave bigoted for thinking all whites where awful? No, no one thinks that. In modern times that would be different as we have internet and more movement of people to give evidence to the contrary, but back then no. Being an idiot? From what? He made the parshendi armor, got the knobweed sap and made bridge 4 the best bridgecrew in the whole army. What did he do that was stupid? Shallan in the chasms was one of the worst parts of the book. Kaladin saving Elhokar had nothing to do with her,so stop saying it. It was the right thing to do and he knew that, and yes it was epic.
  14. Best parts are about Kaladin: fighting Szeth, the arena, saying the third ideal etc. Shallan's backstory was meh, at best, and she acts like a different person back then. I never have cared about Shallan and this book didn't change that in fact it might have made it worse. And dark subject matter, have you read Oathbringer, that is dark, what Shallan went through nope. People keep saying Shallan's past is dark and perhapse in the real world I would agree, but compared to the Titans of Dalinar and Kaladin she has nothing.
  15. Everyone saying WoR made Shallan better is wrong, the best parts of the book aren't even about her. As to highlights to read, just read all of it, it's better that way. Also @Goatbringer you need to get your job back this one just wasn't as good as the others.
  16. Granted, but your illiterate. I wish for Feruchemy.
  17. Granted but only on the Guess that Cosmere place, forum. I wish my mouth tasted normal.
  18. I had a thread like this not too long ago, so we know, a Dawnshard was on Aimia at one point, One is different from all the others, one is known to bind all creatures mortal or voidish, Honor thought that they could be useful against Odium.
  19. *ahem* @McWafy this is a job for you
  20. Only problem is that that song is entertaining. Hoc erat odiosis
  21. I've been wondering that myself, I think it has something to do with one of the RP but I can't be sure.
