  4. Would you prefer a status update?
  5. I was mentioned, so I lost the game, so I had to post.
  6. They are a band of mercenarries and Hoid has a lot of enemies. Ignoreing the fact that Danwshards are really hard to kill, and that the Dawnshard itself would still exist there are several options She doesn't know It's been long enough she's dead She can't leave Roshar She had a falling out with Hoid She's not willing to spend resources on it She can't find him Hoid evaded them pretty neatly, and planets are big places, additionally Hoid is in coresponece with Frost who has known Hoid for 10,000+ years the 17th shard has access to info the Night Brigade doesn't
  7. I got the impression that the Night Brigade was after Hoid and they would use the Dawnshard that Sigzil now holds to connect to its previous holder, being Hoid.
  8. What gives you that impression?
  9. Sigzil likely hasn't been back to Roshar since he started running from the Night Brigade.
  10. It's closer than Threnody is and the sunlight is invested, so I don't think it's that much of an issue, though that is possible that it takes place on Monody and Elegy is still named after the planet. Well, they are Threnodites who named a child after a planet in the Threnodite system, but also seem unaware of interplanetary travel, so I don't see why not.
  11. She was probably named after the planet. Just as Adonalsium-will-remember-our-plight-eventually was named after Adonalsium.
  12. Additionally Sigzil could care about some spren or Aiamians who do live forever.
  13. Adonalsium is the source of all the investiture in the Cosmere so there can't be another. However Adonalsium doesn't have to have intentionally made the Aethers so they could still technically claim to not be of him. Additionally they could be wrong altogether.
  14. Even so one world every ten years is almost feels like an underestimate.
  15. Even if Hoid only visited one world every twenty years he would have been to at least 500. And Hoid will occasionally leave a planet after just a few minutes so he's probably got at least a thousand.
  16. Some people maybe but the main cast have tons of plot armor, and we have five more books. Odium doesn't want to destroy Roshar so I'm not sure how that is a reasonable excpectation, esspecially with five more books. He is known as Wit in SA and as this book is stormlight adjecent it would be weird for Brandon to change his name. Not neccesarily, I've been wondering for a while if Aux's condition is what happens when a Dawnshard Radiant breaks their oaths Even in RoW we see that Ishar's bonds aren't permenant, he made a Connection between the Windrunners and stone that wore off over time. And even before then our first intorduction to Connection was in BoM where we saw that it wore off. No If Ishar made a Bond with himself he could probably make that permenant.
  17. Elegy is the name of a planet in the Threnodite system.
  18. By this point Sigxil is travelled enough to call things by their propper namrs
  19. Nightblood was made of steel. I don't think that would have the intended effect, that would create a new intent that was a mix of Ruin and Ambition not amplify Ruin
  20. Well, I'm a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saintss. I can't even begin to fathom how my life would be diffrent without religion, there have been too many points in my life where I have purposefully made an effort to change to conform with our doctrine. However what I do know is that I would be far more agrssive, and far more cynical. I'd probably have become a Nihalist. And there is a time where if I didn't have my faith in God I may have taken my life. I'd be intrested in that.
  21. Only if those three don't include Sigzil, which I think it does.
  22. Feruchemist Dawnshard. Not sure what that adds up to, but I want it.
  23. I thought it was pretty clear that Sigzil had the Dawnshard.
  24. That's the same thing as "Oh no, a child, I lose." Which not only is anticlimactic it's not something Dalinar would do. And on top of that you are approaching this as "Brandon must make Child Champion happen" when it's far easier, and more rewarding to do anything else.
