I would argue that only taste is relative, but alright.

The Survival shard just wants to hide and survive, A number of times people have mentioned the survival shard not having a planet, and Brandon has not corrected them, and when someone mentioned them as different shards he said they might not be different Invention disappeared after Harmony tried to contact them a second time. They are hiding.

The examples he gives is the amount of metal in an earring that is inside someone. And considering how low Investiture metal is, compared to Stormlight, and how Stormlight would naturally resist being consumed, I think it's safe to say that it won't be instant, and they might have some left over afterwards.

Most Influential Worldhopper Organization
Frustration replied to StanLemon's topic in Cosmere Discussion
You don't put resources towards something that doesn't give returns. If they are actively recruiting 17th sharders, that means that they are succeeding -
Most Influential Worldhopper Organization
Frustration replied to StanLemon's topic in Cosmere Discussion
It's not just trying to recruit, but actively recruiting, meaning they are having success. -
"Sure, give me a second," Isek said, finding himself envious of his organic counterparts, he never understood how useful crying could be until he needed to clean out his eyes. "Do you have any water by chance?"

potential problems with too many immortals
Frustration replied to king of nowhere's topic in Cosmere Discussion
The Horneaters are crazy rich, they can offer up enough money people are willing to risk their shards in duels for it. -
Nale was also completely disoriented at this point, and as seen by how he caught another arrow just a second before he never needed to shield from them. A few moments, to carefully burn a geometric pattern into stone, which is both more dense and a lot more resistant to breaking apart than flesh is. I'm with @therunner here, just brute forcing your way through it would be a lot easier.

If you're that desperate for breaths it would be thousands of times easier to simply have a slave class, who either have to give up their breath as soon as they are old enough to speak. And that's ignoring the fact that hemalurgy can steal any magic system. So breath is actually the most fair of any system as you don't have to die to give power away. There's a reason that Scadrial murders people for their power while drabs get enough money to take care of themselves for eight years.

And if you soulcast a massive rock around their head? -
I've had conversations about this before, but I don't see any problems with awakening. Would you please explain your thoughts here?

Scadrial vs. Roshar post Lost metal.
Frustration replied to Frustration's topic in Cosmere Discussion
The nearest water body is miles from the perpendicularity. Roshar has already done it, they have done it for millennia. Even the most powerful groups of Scadrians struggle to get individual off world. More than five years, while also bringing in unkeyed Investiture. They unlike Scadrial can just walk along the land and then make a perpendicularity on demand. Or create portals straight to other worlds. When do you think guns were invented? They were in use(alongside spears) during the 100 years war, the fall of Constantinople, and dozens of other conflicts. Early guns were less powerful than bows, it wasn't until after centuries of development that they finally replaced bows as the ranged weapon of choice. Send the six guys you can get out with over twenty thousand rounds of ammo? Any third ideal radiant could take out Wax, not to mention the hundreds of thousands or regular soldiers. -
Sharder One-Liners

Greatest one-liner here to be honest. -
"Sounds good," Isek said, rubbing his eyes again. There were some frains of sand in there that just would not get out.

Scadrial vs. Roshar post Lost metal.
Frustration replied to Frustration's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Look, are you here to participate or just give me snark? I did talk about it, right here. That is not a historically accurate statement. Guns and spears exsistes side by side for centuries. And gunpowder predated guns by several more centuries. Please if I gave Roshar plot armor a single glowing sad boi with mental health problems would solo all of Scadrial. And one dude with a gun will lose to a force of spearmen, if there are more spearmen than he has bullets. -
Isek spun, slamming his stick into the side of the last creature. Quick analysis showed they were all either dead, dying or fleeing. Looking at his companions they seemed, fine, if a little bruised. "Are either of you hurt badly?"

"Huh?" Isek said, right before a blast of sand hit him in the face. Isek hissed, rubbing his eyes with his free hand, while waving his stick with the other. He looked up, his eyes feeling sore, looking at sandy outlines of several creatures, and felt a grin split his face. Isek swung his stick, feeling bones break with a satisfying crunch as he connected with one creatures leg.

They have truthberry smoke, which is a known intoxicant. And hazewater fumes. -
Mistborn V.S. 3rd Ideal Lightweaver

While most of this is true, Jasnah mentions that there are techniques that make soulcasting people easier. Why copperclouds? They are noted as being the least Investiture intensive of all the metals. -
5th heightening and above savantism
Frustration replied to Tamriel Wolfsbaine's topic in Cosmere Discussion
While yes this is true Soulstamps don't stick without an additional source of investiture fueling them, and using investiture of your own would likely break the seal. So you could in theory undo Savantism, but it would only work as long as you never use the power again. -
Considering that Mists are considered a Stormlight analogue I'd say stormlight vastly outstrips compounding

Mistborn V.S. 3rd Ideal Lightweaver
Frustration replied to Wits instant noodles's topic in Cosmere Discussion
And? Just because our current sample size is bad(mostly their teachers fault). doesn't mean that the order is. If sample size was what determined this fight the lightweaver wins because all the mistborn have been dead for 200 years. They are in fact one of the ten essences, smoke and opaque gas. -
Humanity disagrees with you, simply by virtue of the fact that they are called hotdogs not hotdog sandwiches. And that sandwiches are not called salads, and that soups are not called salads.
