  1. Etrone also completely ignored bullets, but he didn't have compounding. But they are confirmed to be able to soulcast something far more invested that the metalminds would be. I would argue pretty much the opposite. Without strength they have some of the least offensively potent powers, shardblades render Tension basically useless unless it also boosts strength.
  2. Unknown, though those would mostly be from small rural towns and farmsteads. Most of the population centers were minimally affected by the Everstorm, and there haven't been any wholesale slaughters that we know of.
  3. That is a great point thanks.
  4. It would be interesting to see how those interact with Dawnshards, and their "self protection"
  5. Kelsier could have some leftover knowledge from holding Preservation, or they could have used fortune or tapped large amounts of zinc.
  6. You can't see carbon or other elements either.
  7. He also has stored for decades. It says that they can go to the CR, but they can't get back on their own. You can soulcast shardplate And it says soulcasters are used to dealing with resistance. Just as the best fighters, which boosted strength would help
  8. Even just taking it away should be enough. The same could be said about an iron compounder. You can RoW 322 A fabrial soulcaster could do it. I don't see why it wouldn't, especially since Stonewards are the ones that get it.
  9. The sole question I have is if Hoid still has his Dawnshard. If the answer is yes he wins hands down. Even without it he still wins, it's just much closer.
  10. There are ways, they just aren't easy, or known as of the moment.
  11. Thanks for responding. That's what I was afraid of. If for the purposes of a story I need such matter to exist, how much would I have to fudge?
  12. Our ability to hold matter is dependent on the repulsion between electrons, so it needs a negative electric charge in order to be held. Though I suppose a positive charge repelling against the nucleus of regular matter would also work.
  13. I was thinking more stripping the compounder of their Connection to the PR and killing them. Considering the amount of charge needed for full plate that resists shardblades I don't think the amount of stormlight will be a limiting factor. You can also transfer yourself to the CR with it, or soulcast the compounders metalminds. It just requires technique Another thought is that someone with tension could probably just lift the compounders off of them. Surprise favors whoever has it.
  14. In order for a metalborn to use stormlight the stormlight would have to be stripped of Identity, or possibly the metalborn forming a Connection to Honor, or blanking their own identity. It's not exactly an easy process as even the Ghostbloods find it difficult to do. And awakeners do need breath, though yes Returned can consume stormlight
  15. I was referring to the hypothetical blue matter mentioned in the original post.
  16. Rashek and Hoid never held shards. Hoid was offered one but refused, and Rashek only held a tiny drop of Preservation's power.
  17. With Spiritual Adhesion, Gravitation, Division, Abrasion, Progression, Transformation, Transportation, or Cohesion they would be able to escape. That accounts for all orders.
  18. One, if you're skilled enough.
  19. Yes but in what ways. It would need to have some regions of negative electric charge as that's how we hold and touch other matter, but are there other requirements?
  20. While we do not have confirmation, that is the implication.
  21. Stormlight in gems cannot have mass as otherwise it would break the gem.
  22. At the start of each thread I mention that I'm assessing the world as it appears in the most recent book, unless missed one which is possible. I probably should add or expand on that yes, thanks for the suggestion.
  23. Population is included in the natural advantages section of all worlds which we have information on. While this is true, I can't think of anything to do about it.
  24. Very good analysis @therunner my only point is that you do not need to be moving to store speed, as we see Sazed do it in WoA.
