Odium doesn't kill people who disagree with him, that's much more of an Honor thing -

Ah, I was thinking about the battle scene in RoW, where she turns all the air in the vicinity into oil, including inside people's mouths before lighting it. -
That was in reference to their strategy for getting gemhearts, Sadeas would race to the gemhearts with a small force, Dalinar would follow with a larger, but slower one.

That's one way to interpret it. Another would be that while they may have the ability to preform lashings on objects it's difficult for them, or otherwise restrictive to the point that they don't. That one is purely mechanics, and one that isn't even consistent in the RPG as those actions do not appear in the stat blocks. In WoK page 501 Jasnah soulcasts fire with enough precision to burn words onto a page when she runs out of ink. Or that Fused are invested enough that she can't soulcast him directly, or that it's more effective to cover multiple enemies in oil rather than just soulcasting one of them into fire, as she burn that entire part of the battle field. But Brandon hasn't exactly been consistent on this: True, but Books trump WoBs Society and individuals are quite different. As for can you flashbang? Yes, brightlight and loud noise will work, and you can do them, especially the light It cost him Narak. The goal was to draw away Radiants and other armed forces from other battle fronts, which failed. While he wanted his soldiers in Narak, flying a few Masked ones wouldn't have taken much time, and adding a few illusions would have kept the deception going longer. Simply putting stationary illusions on gemstones would have worked, which we know Lightweavers can do, especially where we know voidlight is easy to get and leaks much slower from gemstones. With that you only need one Masked one per ship, or maybe even less if that's all they do, along with some regals to refill the voidlight. Even if that only held the forces in Theylenah for another day or so that would probably have won Narak. -

We haven't, but if you have the ability to make it for over seven thousand years you probably should have figured it out. True, but she also wanted to win. We didn't see any on that front, but between Azimir and Narak there should have been several. And Azimir did have several fused, we see Taln killed dozens of them. How so? You only need one per ship if they can make external illusions as easily as Lightweavers, and there were plenty of Skybreakers to get them there. That would be interesting -

I don't watch a ton of anime so I can't say. For Syl however that's just how the bond works. We see similar things with Pattern, Timbre, Design, and the Stormfather, all of whom are adults by their standards.- 61 replies

I am firmly against Syladin, but who's the child in this one? Because Syl is like two-thousand years older than Kaladin.- 61 replies

Ah, I see. Sure The Masked One in OB should have used a flashbang to get rid of Chiri-Chiri Deepest Ones in Urithiru should have sunk the soldiers feet into the stone rather than trying to grab them Raboniel should have sealed the pillar off with stone in case the humans made it through the hallway at that same time When Raboniel was infusing the nodes with voidlight she should have made a stone barrier to block Kaladin and continue infusing the nodes. She even had the voidlight on hand to make it happen Wood shouldn't block the Deepest Ones in WaT, especially during the battle of Narak when they were trying to get into Narak 3 to get the Radiant's stormlight. Deepest Ones should sink the defenders into the stone in WaT, even if the stonewards could dig them out, it would force them to use what little stormlight they had, while Deepest Ones could refuel easily from regals the plateau over. Deepest Ones should have tried fighting the stonewards to weaken the walls they used to protect themselves from the Focused ones in WaT for the same reason. However all they did was enter the walls and try to attack from there. Deepest Ones or Altered Ones should have tried making bridges between the plateaus Abidi shouldn't have needed to steal the soulcaster in WaT to make a barrier of bronze. Either Deepest Ones making a stone barrier, or Altered ones with steel or stone should have been enough. Flaming oil shouldn't have been a problem for the singers in Azimir, as they could turn it to water or sand. Masked Ones should have been creating illusory armies all over the place in WaT. In particular the ships being sent to Theylenah failed because no Masked One was making illusory people inside of them, but Azimir and Narak should have had them as well. I recall Voidlight healing being slower from the RoW first chapters, but I suppose I should double check that. However even if it only takes 5 seconds to regrow an arm, that's still five times longer than the opponent needs to cut off another one, or their head. I only recall the bodies of Heavenly Ones glowing, but that's because they are always using lashings Once they could stop coming back, but the Heralds often left without all of the Fused dying first. It includes tactics and similar strategies. While Brandon has said that the lore is accurate he hasn't listed what lines are considered lore or not. I'd consider the first few chapters of the world guide to be lore, but once the stat blocks start I consider it all mechanics. -

Sadeas never would have wiped the Parshendi out, he was against Dalinar's expedition. He would have kept doing bridge runs until the Listeners summoned the Everstorm. So now the humans lose their best Radiants, don't get to Urithiru until Jasnah returns, they don't have a Bondsmith with a Connection to the Thrill, so Theylenah falls, assuming they can even get a Windrunner to open the gate. Szeth is never defeated, and so he continues to kill monarchs which causes a greater amount of social unrest. He also never goes with Nale, so Lift doesn't have anyone to help her in Edgedanncer, which means Nale continues to kill Radiants around the world, which further weakens humans ability to fight back. There's no one to save Elhokar, so he dies, assuming Sadeas lets him live that long, which likely fractures Alethkar as the various Highprinces fight each other. There are no visions so no coalition is made. Basically everything other than Azimir ends up in the control of either Taravangian or Odium. However Taravangian doesn't have any bargaining chips and thus looses the upcoming battle, and Odium wins.

Heavenly ones are the only ones I can think of where it wouldn't be more effective. Deepest ones should never try and grab people, just sink them up to their ankles in the stone, that's way better. They should have been able to get inside of the storerooms in Narak 3 as well, as they could have turned the wood into paste with their voidlight. Ah, I see. Not necessarily, because while yes they can heal from a lot of damage as we have seen that doesn't entirely negate the effects. Abidi would have been able to fly during WaT if he had had better armor. Additionally as we saw with Shallan, healing doesn't remove a weapon that gets lodged inside of you, so your healing is spent while you still die. Armor is just better. Additionally while you can heal from damage that takes time, and as the video I linked earlier shows removing limbs, or even cutting people in half with a good weapon is startlingly easy. Considered, but not shown to actually be that dangerous. Adolin is able to kill them with just his normal weapons in the CR. And even just with what people say we know that the humans have killed Fused using sticks. If by before they could wield surges includes before half of them got stripped of carapace armor I would agree. Fighting them without steel would be suicide. That's not so clear Sure Failed to take Theylanah Failed to take Herdaz for a year despite Herdaz not having Radiants Failed to make any significant headway after a year of fighting Failed to hold Southern Makabak Failed to hold Urithiru Failed to Take Azimir They aren't very good at winning. That's what the books say, but not what the books show. Not that I consider losing ten people to be a high price to pay, especially as they'll be back. However despite the number of desolations every single one was won by humans. Yes I'm aware of that section, I still consider that a part of the stat block and non-canonical. ^ This. Those are my thoughts exactly. -

Yes I'm aware, but other than in OB we never see them do that. I'm assuming you're referring to this one That's not about the amount they hold, that's the investiture within their souls. At fourth ideal Kaldin would be immune to suppressor fabrials whether he was holding stormlight or not. Just like with allomancy, as long as a little of it is inside, the whole thing counts as inside. I'm assuming you're sourcing this from the coppermind. Beware, Ruin's influence is all over there, and may lead you astray. The pages you sited earlier were the Fused stat blocks, not the worldbuilding and lore pages. Spheres are only a couple of mg, with even Broams only being 400mg. A gemheart is multiple times larger. Strength is not the end all be all. A lot of the reason I give Stormforms and direforms superior rankings to fused is that they have armor, which is far more important than just strength. And for all of their talk the Fused have not been shown to be particularly skilled in combat. -
Windrunner shardplate being able to protect their radiant while invisible. Everyone said I was crazy, but vindication was sweet. Stormfaker theory being a crackpot. Highstorms going away. BAM being in another realm. I actually theorized the CR, but I'll take it. Less than 2 characters would die in WaT.

Seeing how the SA RPG has affected the fandom, I honestly wish it had never been made.
And I'm really scared about how the Mistborn film will affect the fandom.
