    I'm gonna go out into wild theory land, so please feel free to ignore this If crackpot theories aren't your thing. Anyways. The Parshendi have a huge focus on music with the rhythms and things right? Well, music is full of patterns. Once you play or sing for a while, you find patterns that repeat across all sorts of songs and pieces. For example, the I-IV-V-IV chord progression in literally every song ever. Gradually, you learn to pick up on these patterns and anticipate them. My point is, a background in music could make the parshmen very good at noticing patterns, which are a huge thing in language. They could also just have really good flashcards.

    Has anyone noticed a correspondence between the heralds pictured and the events in the chapter? I haven't been able to find one, but it seems random, so there's probably a Brandon Sanderson hidden message somewhere.

    Not really a weapon, but if you combined an Edgedancer's abrasion and a Windrunner or Skybreaker's gravitation, you could create some kind of sledge that could go reallllllyyyyy fast. (no friction + unlimited acceleration) Could be useful as transportation or battering ram.

    I love the idea of fantasy and tech combined. I feel like there's tons of potential there. Robert Jordan scratched the surface a bit with the age of legends. But we barely saw any of that. Other than that, most fantasy I've read is just "ah yes we have been stuck in the 1300s for over 20,000 years" no. stop. I want my spaceship magik battles and things.

    I have asked some of my orchestral friends, and the general consensus is that yes, you could probably play a violin-like instrument wearing a glove, provided the glove was thin enough.

    That the art won't have as many easter eggs/hidden details. Those are so fun to look at and find long after the release and then speculate about them. That the flashbacks will be pointless.

    Maybe the time dilation affects the cognitive realm only? For example, the time would slow down for the mind of an object, sometimes bleeding into the physical identity like soulcasting does. (Soulcasting requires the convincing of one thing to become another, therefore using the cognitive to affect the physical) This would explain why the spheres would hold stormlight longer - they think that little time has passed. The guards would also think that no time has passed - and require less food/water. However, I can't find a way to explain the beards. @ me if this makes no sense!

    Plasma is usually hot. But its just an ionized gas and we have seen other rules of physics being bent- why not plasma temperature? My theory is that stormlight is in some way related to the lightning in highstorms. (Lightning as pure investiture?)

    Hmm. I wonder if that relates to the mysterious black sphere gavilar has. Is voidlight red? I'm rereading Oathbringer but I don't think I'm that far yet. Also, stormlight being a plasma might explain how it condenses on shardblades whenever it is summoned.

    That is a really good point! I wonder if the lightning is in someway connected to the stormlight? That would make a lot of sense. Also, that would make the stormlight actually connected to the storms because as far as I recall stormlight doesn't appear in the storms, but appears in the spheres. How much detail do we have on lightning in the highstorms? Is it similar to Earthen lightning with thunderbolts? I recall strikes of thunder or at least loud rumbling associated with the storms.

    I feel like it is a gas or a plasma. But what would be good to know is if magnets or metal affect stormlight in any way. (Plasmas are affected by magnetic fields) As far as I recall, there are neither magnets nor electricity on Roshar. Lightning is made of plasma though. Hmmm.

    Left handed violins exist (bowed with left hand). Maybe use fingerless gloves? Gloves made of a very thin fabric could also work. I think a safepouch would make it impossible to play most instruments. A safeglove could maybe work, but it would have to be very flexible and tight to the hand (no random folds).
