Truthless wheeled all of the delicacies to his semi-truck, where loads it all up. It barely fit. He went back inside with the cart, and gave it to Lunamor. “Here ya go! Have a nice day!”

Large-Claws stepped forward, giant sword in hand, and worry showing in his face. He looked over across a battlefield, scores of dead bears littering the ground. It was a hard battle, and Large-Claws had lost many bears. A scout known as Hard-Pelt came forward, moving with as much haste as he could manage with his wounds. “How many have we lost today?” Large-Claws asked. ”Too many, sir. Our estimates range around 10,000 bears.” Hard-Pelt said. Large-Claws let out a sigh, one which quickly turned into a growl. “We cannot the let the Ursaws have another victory such as the one they had today!” The Ursaw was a newly formed clan one that had rebelled against the entirety of the Clans of Ursa. Large-Claws, from the Ch’Ursuq clan, was intitially worried about this, but far from concerned. Rebel clans had risen up in the past, but none had been as successful as the Ursaws. They had gained an unbelievable amount of followers in a short time, part of why they were faring so well in this war. The other clans were late to assemble the Bear Knights of Ursa Regno, the fighting force and defense of the Clans of Ursa. Less than a month ago, Large-Claws had been announced the general of the Bear Knights, and the duty had threatened to crush him. The war was hard, and little progress had been made besides scuffles. Today had been the first real battle. And it had been a disaster.

“Aye aye, captain!” Truthless said, helping Lunamor set down the enourmous amount of waffles and syrup on the cart. He began to wheel it out of the kitchen, and started calling for AC. “HEY AC, WHERE ARE YOU?” @Rosharan A.C.

Your favorite Shard of Adonalsium
Truthless of Shinovar replied to jjreeder's topic in Cosmere Discussion
My favorite might be Devotion or Cultivation. Just the motives of both the shards (basing this off the fact of the WoB saying that Devotion=Love) is really appealing to me. With Devotion, I t’s nice to think that there’s at least one world where a god isn’t evil/corrupt/etc., but maybe one where there’s a benevolent being watching over everyone. As for Cultivation, I also love the idea of growth, and of change, becoming someone better than you once were, which I think is Cultivation’s true intent. But that’s just me -

Tels folded his arms, pondering on how to phrase what he was going to say. “Listen, I know that I have no right to say this. I was not here for the Seven Day War, but whether or not this is war is unimportant. Not even the guilds matter right now. The city is in chaos, and despite so many people’s efforts, innocents are dying. You said that evil always comes. Maybe the important thing is that we always fight against this. The will to face countless evils, regardless of whether or not they end up changing the future for the better, but protecting the people who deserve life more than we do, truly defines who we are. I ask, why give up hope because others have failed in the past? We cannot let past mistakes define what we do now, not let future worries inhibit us from taking action.” Tels paused to catch his breath, surprised to hear what he said. “We can’t change future problems if we don’t solve the ones we have right now. And right now, what everyone needs is for this living nightmare to end. If that’s acheived through the Phoenix, then so be it.”

“Yes please! Perhaps a cart too, if you have one! Now if you’ll excuse me for a moment...” Truthless said, sticking his head out of the kitchen. “HEY AC! WE GOT THE SYRUP!! AND THE WAFFLES!!! Lunamor,” Truthless said, turning back into the kitchen, “I don’t suppose a limerick would get us the yoda and assassain in white waffles, would it?”

Voidlight? The Ghostbloods? -
“Oh,” Truthless said, waving a hand flippantly, “it was nothing really. It was merely a matter of Breath, which I fortunately have plenty of. You see, there was this one time I met with Endowment herself, in all of her majesty. I spoke with her on many things, gained her favor, and in return, she gave me many, many Breaths, different from the regular kind. I can use it on stuff like this, so long as I have the ideas in my head. I always have around 50 pencils and a blank book on me, for occasions such as these, where I need to write a book in a very limited amount of time. It happens more often than you’d think. Now, how bout’ that syrup? And waffles?”

“You talk as if a war hasn’t already begun,” Tels said. “If you need proof, take a look outside the window. Look at what PlasmaCore is doing, destroying the city. The thing is, they won’t stop there. PlasmaCore is truly something different. Worse than the DA. I don’t know what their goal is, but right now, they seem bent on destruction. And that’s coming from me, a Ghostblood! As for connections,” Tels said, turning towards Alask, “I can check. I’m still pretty new to the Ghostbloods, so I have no way of knowing if I’ll be able to receive help. I’ll see what I can do.”
-
Tels began to grow more and more excited as Alask began to lay out his plan. “This could actually work!” Tels said. “I suppose the real problem would be making sure everyone but PlasmaCore was out of the building, and making sure that the Phoenix is in a tight leash so that it doesn’t rampage the city. I don’t suppose any of us have mind control though, so that throws a monkey wrench into the plan...”

Hey cool, do you speak Russian? Is it Voidlight? The crystal that warps your soul? -
“Exactly what it sounds like. A DA creation in the form of a phoenix,” Eve said. Tels grimaced. The Dark Alley. Like most of the sensible people in the Alleyverse, hated those guys. Sure, the Ghostbloods and DA were “allies”, but nothing good ever seemed to come from the DA. “What would summoning it entail?” Tels asked. The more he talked with others, the more he realized how ignorant he truly was, asking questions all the time. He truly knew nothing of the Alleyverse, it’s secrets and it’s history, it rises and it’s falls, the deeds so horrendous it would make even his hair rise, and yet other acts of kindness that would bring tears to his eyes. Yes, the Alleyverse was a complex place, and Tels still had much to learn.
