  1. “Yes,” Tels said, “and she will be fine. Hopefully. I doubt Lena would poison her without reason, especially if the Phoenix chases after us instead of eating her. The stuff she’s got in her right now is long lasting, and probably can be reversed. Right now, we’ve got to leave the Alleycity, and try to draw the Phoenix away. More accurately, I’ve got to use you as bait while avoiding that giant flaming abomination, with a slim chance of survival for either of us.”
  2. Wait, wasn’t it a simile that used “like”or “as”, and a metaphor that just compared them? Simile example: The sky was like blue paint. Metaphor example: The sky was blue paint.
  3. Yeah! (But don’t tell me anything about them, I want them to be a surprise!)

  8. Tels saw the Phoenix fly. And that terrified him. Flames began to cover the PlasmaCore building, searing hot, blindingly bright, and yet the shield still held. The Phoenix perched on top of the shield, but even from a distance, Tels could still see the rage in it. What a mistake this was.... first that blast of emotional allomancy, all of the business with this poor Max fellow and his wife, and now this wanton destruction the the Phoenix seemed so bent on creating. Tels knew, deep down, that bringing that abomination into the city was a mistake. Looking over at Alask, he remembered the words he spoke, about sacrificing the “Enemy”. Tels had assumed that Alask had meant Max, and he himself had been willing to accept the sacrifice the man for the greater good of the Alleycity. Looking over the city now, Tels knew that his actions had doomed the city to fire and death. Tels gritted his teeth, thinking over his options. Running would save his hide only, fighting the Phoenix was suicide, and there was no way he could convince a guild to fight for him. Options were limited, and he knew that they held only a slim chance of success for himself, and much, much, less for the Alleycity. But if the Phoenix wanted Max so badly... perhaps there was a way. Tels looked over at Lena, fiddling with more poisons, by the looks of it, probably for the woman. She would have to wait till later. Without hesitation, so logic could not convince him to do otherwise, Tels shot of ribbons of sand towards Max, yanking him out of Alask’s arms, and shot of into the sky on a multitude of sand ribbons. There was only one place he had a chance of success, a place he might be able to survive the Phoenix. So, with Max in tow, Tels flew straight towards the Alleystorm. @I think I am here. @Voidus @everyone else with spikes
