I agree. The lying is at best a stop gap measure. You can't expect it all people with access to this information to keep up with your lies and the only other option is to limit who has any information and doing so makes your organization less efficient.
From this I think we can conclude that Mraize was telling the truth about Ialai and as such had decided to team up with the SoH. They have probably made some promises to each other about mutual aid. Either Ialai is angry enough to believe them or she is betting they are wrong and using them. Depending on their competence they recognize her intent and are either allied in good faith, using each other or being used. It probably comes down to trying to obtain information that the coalition does not have and using it to cast themselves as an alternative. Also wild theory I think they have at least one Herald. Maybe Kelek?
I just took the quiz imputing answers based on what I thought was right for Lirin. He has a very high aptitude with multiple orders in the 65-75 range. Those always included Elsecaller, Skybreaker, Windrunner, and Stoneward.
Hey. Given the speed of theorizing, meme posting, and discussion that is accompanying Brandon's chapter by chapter release of RoW I have found myself running close to and occasionally hitting the edge of how many up votes I am allowed to give per day. We are producing too much good content in too short a time. I was wondering if you all had given any thoughts to temporarily increasing it from the traditional 20 given the faster pace of 17th shard dialog.
Best Wishes
Karger.
My assumption with how spanreeds work is that you are "recalling" the spiritual ideal of both of them as one gemstone. Once this is recalled their "bond" is through the spiritual realm which we know because it is FTL. However apparently the transition of information somehow happens through the cognitive? Some reasons exists that states that spanreeds can't get information past aluminum walls..
Spren are made of investiture. The ones you are most familiar with are made of Honor's Cultivation or some combination. Voidspren and the unmade are made of Odium's.
I agree that making Jasnah marry Amaram was terrible but the fact that the guy was an idiot that Gavilar kept around to manipulate does not really make it much worse IMO. As to Restares being a "true believer" I am not biting. He might be convinced that he is but I think he is doing it for the wrong reasons.
It would certainly add a fun dynamic to her marriage. O sure honey I will simply magically tap this guy and thus do better then you can with a lifetime of training.
This is the only option that really makes sense to me. Gavilar is a master of men. He could read Amaram like a book. He knows that A might make a useful tool but I doubt he trusted the guy any farther then I want to kick him.
Agreed. Ialia is going to be taken out earlier she is the last book one villain still around once Roshone dies. I think the SoH might have recruited her and she is working with them because she hates Dalinar not because she cares about their cause. Ialia also does still have some authority and access. They probably would have preferred Dalinar but they are too duplicitous to really have any chance of getting him on their side. I personally think Restares is the ardent that declared Dalinar a heretic. A holly man that cares more about overt declarations of support and political power then actual faith. I also doubt Odium bothered with them much. He has the diagram and the SoH are too self riotous not to mention stupid to make good servants(too much like blunt instruments).
Nightblood is not unlimited but he can absorb enough investiture to collapse a perpendicularity. As such Dalinar would almost certainly get too tired to keep doing this.
Shallan has an infinite number of personalities that are reborn and die each day. Just like everyone else. She might or might not decide to give a name and face to another group of them.
I don't think the airship is gone by chapter 7 nor do I think it can be hidden. The airship is already landed and I don't think the fused can lash it easily they are not that strong. Also urban combat is not good for the radiants as the fused don't care about civilian casualties.
Hope so. He is totally a middle aged ardent who wants the Vorin church back in power.
I good sailing ship could manage 8 assuming a good hull design and rigging.
As a rule aluminum is three times stronger then wood but also three times heavier. You also definitely have to use duraluminum so the fabrails would work.
Soulcasting.
You could have a fairly fast speed using water pumps. Worth investigating further.
