If they can soulcast new bodies whenever they want then why not just make them instead of killing singers?
-
I think he did not train for this specific encounter. How often is a windrunner stupid enough to leave all their squires behind? Also he does manage to lash the entire fused.
-
Actually he might well be able to. That is a fairly good point. Yeah I am just worried about people who think they should be eliminated. They are part of her.
-
I might be wrong but what I think was happening was that the red light could not really decide where to go. It was trying to match speeds and locations with something moving very quickly. Imagine trying to intercept someone going at 80 miles per hour.
-
Of course she should take proper care of herself but that is not what I am talking about. I don't think it would necessarily be healthy for her to simply eliminate Veil and Radiant anymore.
-
If he can move his neck while paralyzed which he can't.

So the spiritual self exists in another realm. He transitions his awareness to that plane and then transitions it back to somewhere else in the physical. For a brief moment he is disembodied and has to heal to make the body match what the soul is doing. The soul transition itself is more or less instantaneous it just takes the physical world a few seconds to catch up with that.

They idea is that a knife would stop the wound from closing. Because of that Kaladin would not be able to reach it and pull it out and would just expend all his stormlight trying to stay alive.

I don't know. The best way to cope with metal illness is just fining a way to live with it.

Brightlady Navani's work on the Fourth Bridge has been the highlight of my day. That being said. This is clearly a prototype. How are we going to update her work? We have not yet seen any of the armaments so we can wait on commenting on those but what can we do to improve the structure, propulsion, or safety of the vessel? Some ideas I have had. This should probably be made more aerodynamic. This will hurt the carrying capacity but the speed will be much higher. I am not sure how I feel about a wooden structure. How much is weight a concern? Could we replace it with steel? We need some redundancy in propulsion. Maybe two sets of fabrials in case something happens to one? Local maneuvering. I think she has the right idea with those fans but they need to be more efficient. The ability to turn the ship fairly quickly in combat will matter. Chull power? They need a better version of propulsion then animal muscle power. I think for short bursts at least a lot could be done with elevated weights. Also maybe look in to steam power? Some kind of accelerationspren?

While in the spiritual realm all places are one. You really just have to go there and come back.

You triple posted and at the time it was. He evidently came to the same conclusion you did and realized that if he broke off and left it in there he could just wait for Kaladin's reserve to run out. He only breaks off the spike after the paralysis scene. Also as Kaladin says

I think he is actually moving his spiritual self around. That is why you feel a connection to healing or soulcasting. What he is doing is moving his soul through the spiritual realm and then "healing" so that his body follows suit matching a physical reality to the underlying truth.

It might be cultural. A way for this specific group of fused to reconcile their old ethics to Odium's new ones. I think the first is more likely. They are clearly a martial group and have powers suited to fighting Windrunners. Radiants are less efficient but they have more power(usually). They were. We know that fabrials for infusing gems exist. It stands to reason the reverse is true. Good points.

Coppermind says otherwise. It might be wrong but I don't think so.
-
It is not a knife it is part of his body and he is no waiting he is just pulling back and smashing again and again. He is trying to get Kaladin to run out of stormlight. What Moash did will not often work against Wndrunners for one simple reason. Kaladin should have brought a friend. You can fight with one hand trapped in someone else's body.
-
That would make him a lighteyes.
-
Probably a reflex. In this specific instance it might be smarter but on the battlefield you don't have time to wait for an enemy to bleed out(of stormlight in this case). If the fused waited around by the guy they were trying to kill someone would lop their head off from behind. It makes sense to cause more damage. Becoming a fused means changing forms. That means they have to let the old spren go when they do it. Fusedform. I hope so. You are correct.

I think the best way might be for Dalinar to just unlock the Urithiru oathgate so that they can just go to and from the CR at will. Also it would give scholars a safe way to do research on the CR and to move large amounts of supplies stormlgiht and even transportation(like a boat) into Urithiru.

Not true actually. The fused that uses progression to shape his arms? Moash notices that the flying fused choose to carry him rather then lash him and they are much slower then Kaladin. Renarin implies that they see the future not the present. A missing watchmen is far more likely to arouse suspicion then one who thought he saw something but was not sure.
-
I agree that Moash and co will do some damage but I don't think it will be that bad. Some people will die(maybe including Lirin although I think instead he will sit around and be judgemental) I think the ship will make it to safety and many will consider this mission a mixed success but Kaladin will see this as a failure. I think the first thing we will get is a cut to a different view point. Maybe Venli but more probably one of the Harthstone PoVs(Lirin?). We will get to see Navani's defenses in action. I am hoping for a disintegration beam but I would settle for some self homing weighted nets that use attraction fabrials and maybe a flame thrower. Depending on the PoV we will get interest in the the utility of them, shame at this use for human ingenuity or both. In the background we will see different groups of radiants and others splitting off either to fight or rescue people. Both sides will be unused to each others capabilities so their will be a lot of confusion. The Battle of Harthstone has begone! Just when things get interesting we will probably shift PoVs again. I think to Venli. Not sure what she will be doing.

He is a mapmaker and scholar. He works for/with someone who you will encounter in the future. Brandon has described him as a grumpy James Bond.

Theory about the Nahel Bond and Order Changing
Karger replied to Going_North_cal's topic in Stormlight Archive
Until the final ideal is sworn their are ways to break a bond without killing the spren according to captain Ico. I suppose nothing stops you from then go on to bind some other spren. -
This could easily be true and is a scary possibility. Only problem is how does one kill Dalinar? I don't think a shardblade will cut it (no pun) and I don't think Kaladin is going to miss I knife. Maybe it can also be summoned? Another transport fused will be doing a hand off? They were?
