Investiture consumption in the Cognitive Realm
Karger replied to Yorkaller's topic in Cosmere Discussion
We went over this here if you are interested. -
I checked your page and I don't know which WoB you mean.

I think it would be good to summarize Moash's most likely motives and actions. 1. This is not Moash. The fused do also have Lightweaver equivalents. They know a lot about Kaladin from Moash so this guy is here to do some physiological damage to Kaladin and or take him out. 2. Moash has betrayed the fused. It is possible that Moash is seeking if not redemption that at least death. He is here because he wants Kaladin to either give him salvation or kill him. 3. Moash is planing on doing some sabotage with fused approval. He may have two shardblades(his old one and J's) and can escape from any reasonable prison team radiant can put together by using Szeth's old playbook after surrendering his old one. He can do a lot of damage at Urithiru. Kill multiple monarchs open the place to invasion with the honorblades or just hang out in the lower levels dropping moral by picking off guard patrols. He also might have bonded Yalig-nar to do even more damage. 4. Moash thinks he has gotten Kaladin in a position where he can benefit no matter what the outcome and has mixed motives. This may or may not be under fused approval. 5. This last one is just an extra thought. This will lead to a fight which Moash knows it will and allow them to capture Kaladin as opposed to kill him. This grants the fused the opportunity to kill Syl thus hurting the Stormfather. It would also put Kaladin in the same area as Venli. OMG 6. This could be Pai's honorblade's intro. Think about it. The person acts like they know Kaladin disguise themselves and have green eyes. Pai's blade gives illumination!

Only publicly. He is committing what is almost certainly a capital crime against authority based on his principles. Agreed.

AHA. Another chance to respond to EVERYONE! Also What if it is not Moash? The fused have Lightweaver equivalent. They are in a basement. This is specifically why Kaladin was lured hear. See above theory! Seems a lot of trouble to sacrifice. And a terrifying one. He could do a lot of damage. That means Kaladin will have time to plan. Time in which to consult. Time to realize that he has no chance of making the fused keep their word. And can't be hidden. Oh snap. Even if he surrenders a blade he will have a backup!

Have you listened to chapter 7/8?

The way I see it. No. Do no harm. Transitive property. Talk. Try and deescalate the situation. Play for time so that she can get to safety. I think he has made his choice.

Investiture consumption in the Cognitive Realm
Karger replied to Yorkaller's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Welcome to the shard! If you are asking how he can interact with items they are already manifested. He also briefly manifests a knife if I remember correctly but that is access investiture from the perpendicularity(like an overfilled mug). -
Probably transition from clinic worker to field medic is my guess.
-
So does he. Lirin would have no problem healing a soldier who intended to keep fighting. He would also not have any problem doing so to an enemy soldier. I personally would keep him around if he was near my army because he reduces total casualties.
-
He is also personally sneaking him and his man to safety. That entails personal risk and would probably his own execution if discovered. He sends the storms. It is in the name.
-
Moash. At least the other donkey hats on the vote accomplished something productive.
-
Stormlight heals back to the spiritual idea. It is what her hair feels it should look like.
-
different = apocalyptic? The stormfather regulates the highstorms. What happens if those go out of wack? Just enslave them YaY! That makes somewhat more sense. However if the fused are acting as an actual military force and Herdez's resistance is made of volunteers then everyone participating in the conflict is doing so of their own volition. I don't think Honor would want to delude his own champions. He would need to be brutally honest about what they are fighting against. He risks his own life to help a total stranger.
-
He has said that he wants to kill the stormfather and Cultivation. Doing so would actually wipe out all of the life on Roshar. Several fused do say that extermination of humans is the only final solution. Then why does he not say so? He could easily forestall the entire argument by just saying "You were more then capable Navani. I trusted you to handle it. You have no reason to bother me."
-
Why would they? They want Kaladin here. Kaladin's family is not doing anything harmful. Killing them would not do anything. We don't know Moash's current relationship to the fused. They never bothered to guard him. He could easily have left if he wanted to. They would not have been told who to meet(security). Of course Kaladin would come to his hometown. Being Kaladin grant him the trust of most of the locals. That is critical in this kind of operation. I assume they have a large number of squire Windrunnres somewhere around here. Oh god. What if their powers were knocked out at the same time as Kaladin's? He was clearly ready for what happened. I assume he let them reveal him without making moves because he wanted that first shot. We have not seen the full implementation. A good point. Agreed. Unless he has bonded Yalig-nar I don't see any real way he could get out of an Urithiru prision.
-
He knows Kaladin personally. He could have hidden around the town and waited for exactly this. Shallan might be doing something unexpected. I do think it clear that 1. Void information is incomplete and 2. Kaladin realized they had been made and has them on the back foot. Basically it was not supposed to happen exactly like this. Nothing is going to anyone's plan except maybe Moash's. If they planned on using these in any significant number then the team radiant capturing one is a forgone conclusion. I also don't think they will be able to recharge it. They don't have any voidlight available. Only Kaladin is known and trusted by the people here. We don't know how many Windrunners we have and we don't know what the others are doing ATM. Also Kaladin may have been in disguise remember he attacked first(element of surprise and alerting the his own people that they had been made).

Theory on Fabrials and the War (SDCC Reading)
Karger replied to kuiinteth of isaana's topic in Cosmere Discussion
So? It also did not destroy Syl. Perhaps they are both too strong for that in terms of identity and investiture quantity or perhaps it was targeting Syl and not Kaladin. -

It could generate some kind of anti investiture. Doing so would push the realms apart. Alternatively and I think more likely. It drains kinetic investiture from the surrounding area making it impossible for spren to really manifest. We have see this before MB spoilers. -
That was Kelek. He was famous for his resoluteness so now he is a coward. I think he is trying to run however he can.
-
Oh forgot about her. I hope she is some kind of writer.

I think he is torturing Kaladin here. Mocking the sanctity of his oaths. Well Kaladin you hate me. Protect me. Help me. Keep your oath Windrunner. He is trying to stunt Kaladin's growth. Maybe even break it. Either Kaladin will be right and in doing so will free/save/kill Moash from his lack of passion or he will be wrong and Moash will destroy the windrunners and help Kaladin see the pointlessness of radiant behavior. Either way Moash wins. Given the size of the mission. Mr T almost certainly knew. He could have past it along(good chance Malata is here). Future sight is a possibility. It is also possible they new Kaladin would show eventually got wind of something and checked the trap they have had here for a while at the right time. The size of the mission may have meant Shallan could not cloak everyone and even if she did Kaladin needed to ID himself to the resistance. He also might have been wearing one remember he sprung the trap early when they realized that enemy forces were in the area and looking for him. Finally remember the brands always poke through. They are ID enough. I think so. Godeki does not sound Alethi. Maybe they are Azish? I think so. It is the only surge that really makes sense. No. Layten. They were mentioned as quartermaster earlier.

Time to respond to EVERYBODY! That may be partly true but I do think he underestimates her. He sounds to me like on of those great military or business minds that does not really appreciate the value of bureaucracy or if he does assumes that it is a clever arrangement of "little people" who get work done by advantage of their numbers. Useful and maybe vital but really just the grunt work of government. I also do think he is a bit of a misogynist given how he regards Jasnah and we already knew he was a megalomaniac with sociopathic tendencies. Agreed. Don't they trust each other(Adolin and Shallan?) I think there are a lot of problems with that but if it was remotely possible I am sure it was in the back of Gavilar's mind. He certainly is not a physical or moral one so I am not sure what you mean. He is willing to risk his own life to save some one else's and he stands by his beliefs even when confronted by power. I noticed that too. They both definitely new how to hit where it hurt. Slower and potentially more dangerous. That is leaving out the possibility of Braize having defenses. Think how grateful you would be for a quick recall switch in a hostile environment. We don't know the Heralds are using the box. I personally think they have some kind of Amaram if it is maned at all. Kelek is straining at the edge trying to find a way out. The box might not work but it is a start. Keeping an eye on someone who he may have been planing to kill for some reason. He can't. Heralds can't leave Roshar. He is hopping this will work and likely has no other options. Which he doesn't. Maybe he could not. OHH Tinfoil hat on top of Tinfoil hat. He STOLE J's place in the pact! We know he was at Kholinar. He will be the wringer once all the other Herald's are dead. This also explains why Moath(f Moash) surrenders. He is trying to find out where Gavilar got too.

Prologue made me think Gavilar may not be actually dead.
Karger replied to Harbour's topic in Stormlight Archive
I think she will show up again/ be mentioned as team Radiant starts backtracking to figure out what Gavilar did and why.
