  1. Lol Melt some bronze over a fire and poor it onto the correct area of plate. Add ornamentation using bronze like glue. Scrape of excess bronze with shardblade. I am not an expert on welding but this should work no?
  2. A quote always makes a new post for some reason. I do not double post as a rule.
  3. But even Dullforms can hear the rhythms
  4. What can you actually do with Hemolergy on Roshar?
  5. Re-Shephir has always given me the shivers. What about Moash with his current blade and Nightblood? Yikes. Obligatory **** Moash
  6. I don't know if anyone has put it down so succinctly before but I did notice the connection in passing. I am not sure what we can learn from this but it does raise several questions. Why do the beads do this? What force god or spren causes them to do so? Why do they sound different to voidforms? How do the parshe "associate" these with emotions?
  7. FYI this is generally not useful unless you tell me the addition. My copy for example has interlude 9 in the high 600 range. It is also best to type the specific quote so that we know what you are referencing. I now have toassume this is what you are referencing without objective proof. This paragraph also does not mean she burns through fat. It could just mean she is burning calories too quickly. However if you read Edgedancer you get the clear quote from Lift herself This is often a disadvantage. Emerald bromes are extremely rare costing the equivalent of thousands of dollars and during the weeping are hardly available at all. Neither effect is directly a boon or curse because at the time of boon/curse receptiveness as she still had not yet visited the old magic. It was this action that brought her to the attention of the ring in the first place. This along with the fact that Lift initially believes she has been given what she asked for (halted aging) leads me to believe that her curse/boon were something else. Finally we have WoB confirmation that Lift's curse is realated to her ability to acsess Cultivation's version of the surges. At the Pixel Project event, you talked about a further extent of Cultivation's magic than just the boon and bane? Are there any people alive at the end of Oathbringer who are influenced by that magic? Brandon Sanderson Yes, Lift. Well, I guess that's a boon, isn't it? Yes, there are. But nobody on screen that has Cultivation magic, other than boons or curses from the Nightwatcher. Yes, there is such a thing, no, there's no one else on screen. But what Lift does is a hint. Questioner When Lift says to Dalinar that he smells like her, does she mean Cultivation or Nightwatcher? Brandon Sanderson [She] meant Nightwatcher, but Nightwatcher is kind of Cultivation, so, yeah.
  8. TLR was always tapping age making him rather invested. This may not work but Wax mentions to Kriss that conservation of momentum still applies so could tapping weight mitigate this? Additionally Lashings require contract cant't TLR just say "strange glowy thing = bad" and jump away from the area with A pewter and F steal. Same situation with Lashings. TLR should just jump away. Even if he does not I think he might still be able to get the investiture out of the vapor or dust floating in the air. I believe the Dawnshards were involved in that particular shattering. I could be wrong but it would also explain a lot.
  9. Welcome
  10. Part of the problem is that she is a street urchin meaning she often can't. Also she can't use fat stores for surgebinding. Only food that has been consumed in the last few hours.
  11. Lol. Nearly every time a fan says that they are proven wrong by another sharp eyed fan or by Brandon himself when the next book comes out. I am not saying it never happens but the team at Dragonsteal has an extremely good record so far.
  12. If she is anything like her daughter sometimes they do and sometimes they don't
  13. Why does he need to be fueled when drawn though?
  14. But not realy a Kholin thing. They tend to be practical thinkers and prefer utility.
  15. Im normal. Its everyone else who is wired. I am of the opinion that Lift's ability to tern food into investiture is a side effect rather then a cause. After all she was not yet bonded to Wyndle when she visited the Nightwatcher and it is fairly clear that she asked not to age. I do not see how the boon and curse you describe would be practical without her already being bonded.
  16. Mental stimulation and the desire to do something are not moral qualities. Creative people can be good or bad. I don't associate the ability to come up with innovative solutions to immediate problems to lead to wisdom. Wisdom comes from life experience. Creativity is the ability to solve problems. If you have read Name of The Wind you know that a creative person is fully capable of making some extraordinarily poor judgement calls.
  17. If either of them are around to do it.
  18. Disrupting the balance of Harmony would be bad.
  19. I am also not sure that they lend the plate I thought it was just the blades.
  20. I believe the King's plate is its normal grey.
  21. Nothing special about the paint itself. Sanding it would work or perhaps they can use some kind of acid.
  22. Most likely one of the reasons Dalinar insists on keeping his the normal grey. Maintaining the ornamentation would be extremely difficult in the field.
  23. Can you go into shardic "stealth mode" via storing fortune? I believe you mentioned that one of the reasons future sight and fortune are dangerous is because they draw the attention of the shards. When storing fortune does the inverse hold true? Can you avoid the divine attention like this or by a similar method? Can a bronze seeker hear the rhythms if burning while on Roshar?
