  1. Perhaps Wax will become magnetic and have a constant inverse stealbubble that he has to burn to counter as it drains his own soul?
  2. Yeah but they could also change the current metals to be whatever they wanted. It is one of the perks of being god.
  3. The first oath is largely from the Eshonai tone chapter released by Brandon. Also the Eshonai we know is a depressed and sad version of what she presumably was earlier. Maybe. She does seem to have more in common with her sister then it seemed initially. Considering the gemstone archive shows that the willshapers did not like rules and the WoR called them an uncut gem and Eshonai's own attempts at diplomacy I feel preing tty confident in saying that they were not diplomats.
  4. Hm. Fun times! People who need to stay inside a time bubble are kind of creepy and kind of sad. As to gold. Yikes! That would be like having your parents standing over you at all times. "You could have done this or that or this or that!" Although with gold you might be able to break the limit and start seeing SR stuff. Miles.
  5. Spren naturally produce other spren this way all the time. Remember Hesina cutting roots?
  6. OK but even such a paragon is going to have problems with new information. But we have seen no indication of that yet.
  7. Agreed. I actually think that this will sort of make conjoined twin smaller spren. It is no more horrific then breaking a piece of bread in half.
  8. Hm. Editing topic now.
  9. Khriss does not support that the surges are a fundamental force. How Odium splinters shards is one of the most RAFOed questions sharders have ever asked. I personally don't think that a Rosharan understanding of what a fundamental force is is involved but we have very little understanding of how shardic combat works. By your own spoiler quote I think that the Heralds would have found the same solution by now. I have always seen it as some kind of soul torture. It might have been a game of cat and mouse. Let the heralds feel like they can escape and then shatter that feeling by catching them again. Alternatively they may have had some kind of block. Like the IRE do in SH. Maybe. It does seem like breaking people into camps is a major part of Odium's MO. We see this in the real world all the time.
  10. These seem like a function of divine breaths. Otherwise people would likely know by now.
  11. That seems to be a normal function of oathgate's per the othgatespren's statement that travel to and from the CR is now forbidden. I was thinking about spanreads.
  12. So do you think Wax will start turning a metallic grey and be able to see a bit into the SR in the future?
  13. Fairly simple question. What do you guys think the "limit" is of a none harmful savantism like soothing? With Nicrobursting and savantisezed Nicrobursting both widely understood in era two will everyone just take a day to reach their limit? Are there limits? Is it just a diminishing return at a certain point? Do we have WoB information on this? Also what do you think Wax's savantism will be?
  14. That is what we think although it is theoretically possible that all oathgatespren are actually the same spren somehow in multiple places at the same time. She also may have done the same to the gates in Iri and Rira by now.
  15. But that was moral weakness caused by lack of conviction and a general attitude of anger at Elohkar. He made a choice to help Moash after thinking about it for several days. That is very different from just having a moment of panic. I don't believe in perfect understanding. The world's greatest experts on morality still learn new things or how to consider new situations. As such I do not think anyone would actually achieve the 5th ideal if that was true.
  16. Oh sorry. Wrong scene. I would say no harm was done because he locked up. If the bond was broken by moments of temporary weakness humans would not be able to form it. Becoming shell shocked in what looks like an unwinnable situation is a completely normal physiological reaction. No actual decision was being made. Yeah but there should be some accompanying principle behind both paths otherwise everyone would just swear it as soon as they go there.
  17. My own skills have not yet been required...
  18. I think Lightweavers generally go faults, then incapabilities, then kindness, and then limits but we won't know until we get info from Shallan's progression. The truths have to be individual because that is what makes them true so I do not think you are going to hit anything that makes them follow the general order's pattern.
  19. Some parts of the book are ahead of others. I believe he finished a working draft of part one and sent it to his editor before continuing on. It is also possible that he is just keeping things at 90% while he sorts out whatever "sticky" issues this draft has.
