Jenny reached the elevator and awkwardly pressed the button with her elbow to avoid having to set Ed down. She waited impatiently, shifting from one foot to the other. She was learning that she didn’t like anything about elevators- even waiting for them was excruciating. @Weaver of Lights @The Aspiring Archivist @Random Bystander

Jenny nodded and carefully picked Ed up, trying to avoid jostling him. She started off towards the elevator, making sure that Terrance and Elsie were following. She whispered to Ed as they walked. ”Thanks for telling me.” @The Aspiring Archivist @Random Bystander @Wierdo @The Clarinetist @Scars of Hathsin

“Are you ok with me carrying you?” Jenny wanted to make sure Ed would be fine with her carrying him. It could embarrass him. He might prefer a different option of some sort, although she couldn’t think of any alternatives. He was smarter than she was, though. He could probably figure something out.
-
“Are you sure you can walk?” Ed seemed like he could barely stand. Jenny was worried he would collapse as soon as he tried to take a step. She was also worried that he wouldn’t acknowledge his wooziness. He hated the idea of being a burden. Hopefully he realized that passing out completely would just make things more difficult for everyone.

“Of course.” He was smiling. Did that mean he wasn’t hurting too badly? Jenny hoped so. She attempted to carefully help Ed up, trying to support as much of his weight as she could. A leg injury made movement very difficult. This was an especially inconvenient time for movement to be very difficult.

“It’s ok. It’s not your fault.” Ed must really be hurting. That hurt Jenny, too. Seeing him in pain and not being able to help was awful. They didn’t have time to rest, however. They needed to flee the scene of the fight as soon as possible. ”We need to go rejoin the others. Do you think you can stand, or would you like me to carry you instead?”

Granted. Everything about you is now incredibly average. I wish for a homing pigeon. -
Ed looked funny. Jenny assumed that meant something was wrong, since he had just lost a lot of blood and was probably in pain. She eased him into a sitting position in case he passed out. ”Ed? You ok?” She tied off his bandage, inspecting her handiwork. It wasn’t particularly neat, but it would do. It had at least stopped the bleeding. Jenny considered wrapping a second bandage around the first, but eventually opted against it. They had a limited supply and it might hurt Ed too much to be worth it.

Eza, Smokestack, Koloss Head Munching Day Carnival Eza was thankful for the crowds. An unremarkable, short girl weaving her way through a throng of people was incredibly difficult to spot. While she couldn’t become invisible, this was almost better, in a way. The sound of footsteps from a supposedly empty alley was far more suspicious than a faceless carnival-goer who was expected to be there. She’d managed to swipe a small koloss plushie; the fair prizes weren’t guarded very carefully. Its button eyes and felt eyebrows gave the toy an angry expression. It wasn’t particularly unlikely for a girl like her to have won the plushie, so she didn’t bother to hide it under her cloak. It rounded out her attempt to fit in with the crowd. Plus, it was really cute. Normally, Eza would have to contend with the difficulties of keeping track of someone in a tightly packed area like this carnival. Fortunately, Lum was not a particularly hard person to follow. She watched as they were loudly announced to the crowd, then dived into it. Lum had literally just publicly burned down a building. Their face was still plastered on wanted posters from their run in with that weird obligator guy, too. Weren’t they worried about the authorities? Apparently they thought that they were invincible. They also seemed to desperately want to test that theory. Eza knew that she couldn’t stop them. She also knew that she probably couldn’t save them. They’d inevitably end up getting her killed if she got too close. So why was she here? Lum was leaving her sight, no longer conveniently standing on a podium, so she had no time to stop and think. She ducked her head and wove through the fairgoers, following the person who really should’ve given more of a care.

Jenny grabbed the bandages from Ed’s bag and quickly started to wrap one around his leg. She tried her best to be gentle, but that was difficult when she was rushing like this. He was bleeding more than she had assumed. She hadn’t paid his injury enough attention.
-
Jenny had no idea what to do. She’d already given Ed ambrosia, and his wound didn’t seem life-threatening enough to warrant gorgon blood. She tried to think about how he’d helped her before. ”Do you have some bandages still?” He was still actively bleeding, which they needed to stop.
-
“It’s alright.” Jenny didn’t really understand the feeling of being sad about killing a monster. She’d always hated them- they were cruel, evil beings who hated her too. She supposed that killing one could be hard if you weren’t familiar with that, though. And the chimera had been kinda cute, in a grotesque way.

How many weirdos do we have here

Found one: @Wierdo -
“May you please come out from under the table?” Jenny spoke softly, trying to coax Elsie out. They needed to get out of there as quickly as they could. They were drawing quite a bit of attention. The authorities would be after them soon. Now property destruction had been added to their long list of crimes. At least Elsie and Terrance wouldn’t be recognized.
-
“Elsie, that was a monster. It was going to kill us if we didn’t kill it.” Jenny awkwardly crouched down as much as she could while still supporting Ed, trying to see Elsie. This must be the first monster she’d beaten in a fight before. ”Plus, monsters go to Tartarus and reform. It won’t stay dead forever.” She’d always hated that. It felt like cheating. Dead things were supposed to stay dead, a lesson she’d learned the hard way.
-
Jenny speed walked out of the elevator, Ed the only thing keeping her from breaking into a sprint. She could hear sobbing. Had Elsie been hurt? Jenny quickly located the source of the noise. It was coming from under a table. Poor thing must not be doing well at all if she was hiding like that. ”Elsie? Are you ok?” @Random Bystander @The Aspiring Archivist

Jenny tightly wrapped an arm around Ed, trying to support him as well as she could. It was good that Terrance was standing. That gorgon blood really had worked quickly. The elevator dinged, finally arriving. She rushed in, waiting for the others to join her before spamming the close door button.
-
“I wasn’t injured, just had the wind knocked out of me.” Jenny tried to stretch and winced. ”I probably have some nasty bruises now, though.” She glanced at the window again and shuddered. She’d been so close to shattering that glass and plunging to her death. Jenny was very glad they had killed Medusa. This would’ve gone very differently otherwise. She looked over her shoulder to see the elevator doors closing with Elsie inside. ”Wait-“ Jenny dashed over, but wasn’t able to get there before the elevator left. She spammed the button, anxiously waiting for another one to arrive. Elsie couldn’t be alone.
-
Jenny sat back on her heels, finally managing to catch her breath. The blood should start healing Terrance immediately. She looked to the side and saw Ed there, bleeding again. She held out her ambrosia to him. His leg wounds seemed like they were really bad. @Weaver of Lights
