  1. When the glowing guy grabbed Lum and shot them into the air, Eza immediately burned iron. Unfortunately, there wasn’t enough metal on their persons to stop them. She’d been right. Those glowing people Lum had angered had come back for them. She didn’t recognize him, but that hardly mattered at this point. Lum was probably done for regardless of who this magic guy was. She barely managed to see Lum saying something that she couldn’t hear, as they were far out of earshot. The man slowed, then they started falling. Eza was somehow both relieved and oddly frustrated by this. Lum never seemed to face any permanent consequences for their actions. That didn’t mean everyone else didn’t have to deal with them, though. They’d destroyed a bar and with it someone’s livelihood. Lum had known that could happen yet had pushed their luck anyways. Lum was well past the point where any repercussions could serve as learning experiences, however. There was little point in finding a newfound sense of wisdom if you were stuck in a prison cell or worse. Eza maneuvered so that she was standing closer to where the two were descending, trying to keep them in sight as the crowd stopped to stare. This was unfortunately quite the spectacle, moving all of the fairgoers’ attention to Lum that they hadn’t already drawn themself. She noticed a silver hairpin stuck sideways through a woman’s elaborate bun and absentmindedly ironpulled on it, sending the shiny piece of metal rocketing into her hand. The previous owner was too distracted by the glowing figures above to notice that her hairdo had collapsed. Eza haphazardly stuck the pin in her own hair, her newly created “hairdo” far less elegant than the woman’s. She had a love-hate relationship with spectacles. @Stormlightsong
  2. Jenny flinched at his words. Had Aaron been talking to her? He hadn’t looked at her when he spoke, but you didn’t always look at someone you were talking to. He probably was upset with her for bothering him. His magic made him tired. Maybe she was overstepping; he probably would’ve already offered help if he could. She mumbled an apology, looking downwards. ”Sorry.”
  3. What metal (if any) do Asylum and Frisian have on their persons? @Stormlightsong @TheFrugalWizard
  4. Ed sounded different than usual. That was probably bad. At least he was agreeing to not stand up. Jenny sat down next to him and shut her eyes, continuing to try to support him. ”Aaron, is there anything flower-magicky stuff you can do to help Ed? We really need to get moving quickly.” Hopefully referencing the danger they were all in would help persuade Aaron to heal Ed. @Scars of Hathsin
  5. Jenny tried to gently help Ed sit up. They needed to leave soon. Ed had to rest, and mortals were going to start chasing them at any moment. “Please don’t try to stand.” She whispered this to Ed to avoid embarrassing him in front of the others. She knew he’d hate to not do anything, but his condition was scaring her. Jenny didn’t want to come as close as she had to losing him before.
  6. That admittedly made sense. Ed had been sitting last time she’d seen him, and the thud was probably him falling down. Why had he stood up? He’d needed Jenny to carry him there, he couldn’t support himself. She looked back at him and saw that he was a sickly pale. She paled, too. Ed was normally heavily impacted by pain, but this seemed to go beyond just pain. @Weaver of Lights
  7. “Ed?!” Something was hurting Ed. Jenny scrambled to her feet and tried to move so that she was standing in front of him, nearly tripping over him in the process. Roy must be involved with this somehow. She couldn’t protect Ed from him blind, so she cracked one eye open as a compromise. @RoyalBeeMage
  8. I STEAL THE SANDWICH USING THE POWER OF ALL CAPS!
  9. “My eyes are closed! I physically can’t!” Jenny sounded rather panicked. Now that her adrenaline was gone, her fear of seeing the city below her had returned. She heard a thump. Was it more monsters? Police trying to break down the door? The elevator falling to the ground? ”What was that?!” Jenny knew that she was probably overreacting, but that didn’t overcome her general panic caused by being so high up.
  10. Was this Roy’s fault? Had he done something to Ed? Jenny glared at the back of his head. Ed was hurt. Roy being mean to him was never good, although normally Ed seemed to handle it alright. But in his current state, he might not be able to. She unconsciously placed a hand on Sword’s concealed hilt. She then realized that her eyes were opened and the window was right in the center of her field of vision. She quickly shut them again, tensing up. Hopefully they’d leave this terrifying place soon. @Weaver of Lights
  11. Was Jenny accidentally hurting him? She always did this, always hurt people. She kept her hands in her lap and looked downwards. She couldn’t mess anything up if she did that. Jenny almost drew Sword to start fiddling with it, but realized that might just manage to make them look even more suspicious. It was probably too late for that, though.
  12. “Ed?” Why wasn’t Ed glaring at Roy? He must still be hurting badly. Jenny instinctively dug around in her pockets for ambrosia before realizing she was out. He’d already had some, anyways. She looked back at him anxiously. It scared her when he acted like this. ”Is there anything I can do to help?” She shot a pleading look in Aaron’s direction, trying to silently beg for any sort of aid. He had healing magic and gorgon’s blood. @Scars of Hathsin @RoyalBeeMage
  13. Happy birthday danex! 🎂🎁🎉

  14. Maybe if Aaron did happen to be upset, Jenny could try to distract him. It was normally best to assume that she had no idea what was going on in someone else’s head. Asking him a question couldn’t hurt, so she might as well do so just in case. ”What do you think about burgers, Aaron?” @Scars of Hathsin
  15. Jenny cocked her head slightly, curious. Why was Aaron talking to himself? Jenny talked to herself a fair bit. He was probably fine. She wasn’t exactly the best person for determining if someone was “fine”, though. She began to try to ask if he was alright, but stopped herself. He wasn’t crying or anything. He could ask for help if he needed it.
  16. “That sounds good. Hopefully there aren’t any gorgons there.” Jenny was sitting up ramrod straight instead of leaning back against the wall. The bruises on her back from slamming into the window were already less-than-pleasant. She had her eyes closed again, both to avoid looking at the spot where she’d almost fallen to her death and the dizzying view of the city below.
  17. Oh, I didn’t realize I’d passed Nath until just now! I’ve now officially won the most!
  18. You eventually come up for air after almost suffocating and I nab the sandwich while you are distracted gasping for breath.
  19. Here’s some sick beats. I have a manilla folder.
  20. It’s when someone posts before you do but you don’t realize it until after posting too, especially when it messes with what you said. ‘Tis the bane of slow writers such as myself. TPBM can do a flip.
  21. Good luck with that
  22. Eza glanced around, scanning the crowd for any threats. While crowds helped her hide, they also helped others hide, too. The tradeoff wasn’t always worth it, but there was no avoiding it in this situation regardless of what she wanted. Lum had decided to choose a course of action that led to them having all of the drawbacks of being in a crowd of people without any semblance of the benefits of anonymity it could provide. She’d simply have to deal with being even more paranoid than usual for a few hours. Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed a blur against the blue sky. She nonchalantly turned her head, letting her look at whatever that thing was in passing without seeming to stare. It was really high up, so she didn’t get a good look. It was probably just a bird. Eza scowled. She hated those stupid animals and was pretty sure the feeling was reciprocated. @TheFrugalWizard
  23. “I run a restaurant. I cook stew. I do not know all of these things.” Lunamor could see spren even when they tried to hide, but that didn’t mean he knew everything about this stuff. ”If that grumpy man had a nose that looks like it’d been broken too many times, that was probably Dalinar. He’s a Bondsmith. Bondsmiths can open gates somewhat like the oathgates. And what did you say about a warp?” Being from another universe would certainly explain this man’s strangeness. He’d have a good story to tell, at the very least.
