    I finally worked up the motivation to start writing an extended version of The Wandersail, and I’m so storming excited about it! It’s going to be a lot harder than The Girl Who Looked Up because I have to write my own dialogue and have actual named characters. But reading Tress and Yumi has really helped me figure out the tone and I’m really proud of the intro I’ve written.

    Eza silently pulled her hood further down. Was she really that obvious? It was hard to disguise being so rusting short. She needed a pair of heels or something. The guy seemed to be drinking some sort of metal. Burning iron, she was able to identify that it was chromium based on the line leading to it. She was pretty sure that meant the man had luck powers. Probably a bit like Lum did. Eza didn’t want to find out what would happen if the two fought each other with their powers. Ok, she kinda did, but only from a safe distance. It would probably involve lots of stubbed toes and falling ladders. At least the guy seemed to be Scadrian. Probably from her time period, based on the clothing style. Eza knew (well, hoped) that he wouldn’t have too many odd cultural quirks she didn’t understand. She still couldn’t wrap her head around those really tall women wearing a glove on only one hand.
