  1. I just can't understand how it can be difficult to write an lgbt character protagonist. If the cosmere had any earth analogue then there would be the issue of lgbt history but when regarding all the research brandon puts into his creations it justs seems flimsy . Don"t get me wrong I adore the cosmere, but .... Is it that I (by asking to be represented in that regard) am asking too much... it's disheartening . I have don't really have distinguishing tastes when it comes to romances, so all the ones that brandon writes seem run from fine to great, which is why I can't understand why he hasn't yet. Sorry if this is rambling I also don't understand what people mean when they say that an author shouldn't include LGBT character/ protagonists just to be inclusive. Does it mean that the character has to have being LGBT an important plot point ? I am of the belief that there isn't any real reason for a character not to be LGBT.
  2. What I mean is, in general (not specifically counting Brandon) if the character is NOT actually LGBT in the source material then it shouldn't count as actual representation. If there is no actual effort on the author's part then that's because they didn't write a LGBT character . I mean not to offend but if it needs to be said outside of the actual source material then it isn't really real .
  3. You the reader will be mistaken for a herald by Moash and killed in a dark alley. This of course will take place during the final interlude/ the epilogue .
  4. Why would the spren keep the stormlight in perfect gems if they had no way of removing it without damaging the gem
  5. As I said I was not certain. I think my other point still stands
  6. If you don't remove the poison then I would assume all stormlight does is negate the affects . Which brings to mind . If you had a deadly disease would stormlight kill the pathogens or simply make you a carrier ?
  7. that is what I'm wondering . Its like when moash kills elohkar ,he leaves the knife in until the stormlight goes away. If your a knight radiant and someone poisons you would you start feeling the affects after you run out of stormlight ? . With shallan im pretty sure ( not certain) that she woke up with a hangover. I don't think the stormlight would somehow remove it ,unless you were lift and able to metabolize the poison directly into investiture .
  8. i think what you would do is have stormlight until the poison gets out of your system or is nullified, the stormlight simply heals the damage the poison does .
  9. Where in the text does it even come close to establishing that ??
  10. How did ruin and preservation create Scadrial , we know the planet was not already there and we know they created all of the life there , my question is how did they do that ? Did they simply use space dust that was already present or did they convert their investiture directly into matter ??? I'm just confused
  11. No not really ,the boons are not necessarily related to what you ask for
  12. This is about how the nightwatcher goes about making things appear .
  13. Okay so we can assume that when you ask for non material things or glimpses of the future , the Nightwatcher grants the request using Spiritual Mumbo Jumbo. But lets say you ask for a boat load of emerald broams , where would she get it from ? would the Theylen gem reserves suddenly lose like fifty percent of there supply ? or would she just soulcast them out of dirt .Lets say it is explained would you somehow have to carry all that home or would it just materialize in your home , how would she stop people from just taking them. I know what you'll say " Its just a manipulation of fortune " well what if you specified that you want these ill gotten riches to materialize right in front of you??????
  14. The thing is though if Adolin is not feeling guilty or regretting his decisions then what pain is there for Odium to take , also Adolin switching sides because Shallan died seems like a gross misrepresentation of his character at the moment.
  15. Im going to assume that if you where going to ask the Nightwatcher right now at this moment she would not be able to just give you nightblood.
  16. We can assume that the thief is not Nale because in the last Dalinar flashback the Nightwatcher is shown to possess "a sword that bleeds black and can never be defeated'' I assumed this is definitely talking about Nightblood.
