In regards to the spelling of your name, Freja is a perfectly legal spelling of the name, there are also other variations like freya, freia, and a few others i can't think of right now, though i think the most common is indeed Frejya. So....with a name like that, i assume you're a fan of norse mytholgy? Or do you just like the name? Personally, norse mythology is my favorite mythology. I've read a translation of the Prose Edda (but not the poetic edda). Also, don't worry about Joe. He's (mostly) harmless, which means you should (probably) be ok with him stalking you.

well, as you pointed out in your first paragraph there, it really depends on your definition of a god. No a shard holder is not (generally) omnipresent, omnipotent, etc. etc. However, they do have powers beyond that of your average mortal. So far so as to even have the powers of creation of life in at least some capacity. Here is merriam-webster's definition of god: To me, it seems you're trying to relate shard holders to number 1. As in, compared to THE god, not just being A god. Now, the second definition fits any given shard holder pretty well to a T. 3 and 4 fit i suppose, but not really what we're going for in any capacity. Did a shardholder create the universe? probably not. Did they create any/all life? Some did. Is any particular one the RULER of the universe? Nope. Do they have godly powers bestowed upon them? Absolutely. Does any of this qualify/disqualify them from being gods? that's up to the person judging i suppose. For me, I personally say the are gods, so long as your definition of god is more akin to polytheistic interpretations of gods, and not modern day monotheism, because while they may all be considered supreme beings, none of them are THE supreme being. Well, its actually game where there's really no particular rules, so we make it up as we go along, so it can be, really, either way. I've only seen a few games of it played, but I've seen it played both ways. It's really kinda one of those games that since there's no real rules, and we're making it up as we go along, anyone could technically win at any time by making up some dumb rule to put them there right away. So i guess go with whichever way you feel like, it may even change during the course of play anyways Edit: also, speaking of hobbits, i've heard of this game being played with a middle earth variant called "Hobbiton crescent" Further edit: Here's a map i found with a quick google search

Yeah, while there's nothing wrong with a thread running long, I do think the use of spoiler tags could make this one in particular easier to digest and find what you want as it grows longer. Just something like: Misborn Chapters: Elantris chapters: etc.

I figured since the forum games have been kinda dead around here, I'd post up a new one! So i bring you mornington crescent! Does anyone know how to play? i've never actually played it, but I know the idea behind it. Some background, it was apparently from some british radio show as a joke game/prank they played (or something like that) and is intended to mock complex sports rules. But the basic gameplay is that you are trying to navigate a london subway system (map here) and arrive at mornington crescent. The person who successfully does so is the winner. However, other people are basically allowed to make up any and all rules for different ways to block/divert progress. example: Person 1: Move to kentish town. Person 2: Move to Camden Town Person 3: Sorry, rule 3A in book 25 says that if you stop at Camden town before continuing on to Chalk farm then doubling back means a penalty and pushes us back to Old street and puts us on an express train Person 2: Move to angel Person 1: Sorry, angel cannot be reached by express train, and attempting to stop in an express train, according to 12th edition revisions, moves us over to Euston Square Person 3: switchover at Euston square off of express train End example get it? Ok, so let's do this. Move to manor house.

nice. Yeah, i usually average about 300-ish per game. I usually look at the place with the best bonuses and try to fit a word over them to best effect (usually guessing a ton of words too, hoping some are actually words )

i think only the admins have the power (people whose names are red), but i think everyone has the button to do so, and if you try it, it just tells you that you arent allowed to do that. Though, i could be wrong.

I like how it makes it seem that the concept of "chaos" is high on our list of things we do around here to the casual onlooker.

well, I don't have screenshots or anything, but I can describe (and sort of paraphrase my old criticism) of it from back then. It was very....blue. The color scheme consisted of only like two shades of blue (i know we still have a lot of blue, but the shades are significantly more varied now, and work well, i think), also it reminded me of an old geocities site from the 90's. Really basic and not a whole lot of "new" feel to it. I know that doesn't give you a whole lot to go with, but trust me when i say it's like a million times more pleasing to the eye than it was back then. Yeah, there's all sorts of legal things with kids under 13 for online stuff. As you mentioned, in the terms of service in most forums and things like that, they include a disclaimer stating you have to be over 13, which is because of some legal requirement. If you're going to cater to people under this age, there's like a ton of rules and stuff you have to follow. I don't know what they are, but this may very well be one of them.
