  1. Abandoned Shop -Alleyway Seynir, Umieri, & Striax From down at the end of the alleyway towards the front of the Inn, you hear shouting as the guards realize that you are no longer in the Inn. You can barely hear shouts of things like "find them!" and guards loudly questioning witnesses before an uproar of noise fills the alleyway as the general public that had amassed gets whipped into a frenzy when they realize that a supposed murderer (or murderers) is on the loose. Luckily, you're pretty sure that because of the chaos, the reports are likely to be confused and jumbled, so if you can get well away and avoid suspicion for a bit, you should hopefully be able to get away scott free, so long as you get out of here soon.
  2. Wow, it's all ready cage match time again, huh? Seems like the 2011 one practically just ended. I'm interested to see how Zaphod Beeblebrox does. i would actually love to see him win (douglas adams = my favorite author, no matter how much i love brandon's work)

  4. I have a samsung epic 4G (android smartphone, not the touch version) but i plan on upgrading it this year. I'm just currently holding out for the tegra 3 phones to drop (and currently drooling at many of the offers now showing up at MWC this week) I dont know about where you are, but here you can get prepaid phones that are smartphones, if you dont want a contract. There's also a few "contract-less" offers floating about here, though theyre much more rare than prepaid. As for justifying it, i actually do the same to justify paying so much for a smart phone. I rarely use the "phone" features of my phone (i dont think i've ever used over 30-40 minutes per month of my 1,500 allowance. Though i'm on a family plan with my fiancee), so I figured if i'm going to pay a monthly fee for one, i'm going to get one that basically doubles as a portable PC so i can actually get some USE out of it rather than a phone call every 3-4 weeks.
  5. ^ this ^ I read the first one, and i everyone keeps telling me i need to read more before it gets good, but I just can't read 'em. Reading the first one felt like a chore. I had high expectations for it, too, because a lot of people talk good about these books are.
  6. I would like to announce that I have ordered myself a brand new PC! Well, the parts for one, anyways.
  7. heh, it's cool. I assumed it was just an allusion back to the post of mine i linked

'bout time Zas was on the admin staff. Just sayin' Also: grats, everyone else! Edit: also - Score! Eero still remains the only global mod!
  9. That sucks. The loss of a PC is certainly not fun. Also, totally understandable
  10. Is that so? Man, i want tenure that lasts through the establishment of a new governmental power and assassination.
  11. that's pretty cool. but yeah, it's kinda hard to tell what exactly it's doing
  12. Abandoned Shop Umieri A dark voice within your head speaks. "Turn yourself in. This entire affair is of your party's fault, so the right thing to do is turn in the one you now protect..." (Since we aren't rolling in this topic, you can decide if you're going to "fail" or "succeed" on the will save for the voices thing, and go with whatever actions you decide.)
  13. i'm the same way, if my keys arent in one pocket, my wallet in another, and my phone in my back pocket when i'm not at home i'd probably freak out.
  14. huh. weird, apparently part of the link got chopped off. Here it is unlinkified: http://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/Artificer_Player's_Guide_(3.5e_Optimized_Character_Build) Edit: which, oddly enough, was apparently automatically linkified. Incorrectly. Oh well.
  15. I updated the bit i put up there about crafting. I decided that the crafting points amount was kinda low, for both artificers and non-artificers, since the artificer class feature assumes that you have EXP available to spend in addition to the craft reserve. As such, I modified it to give you extra crafting points for every 2 crafting feats you take.
  16. heh, yeah. I wanna see the carrying capacity of someone with a 10 or 11 under that system! Not to mention a negative modifier! Afterall, 12 and 13 have a max load of 10 pounds. Keep in mind that 10 is supposed to be the "average human"
  17. I'm pretty sure that any decree he handed out was made invalid after the Balkans were conquered by the ottoman empire. Just sayin'.
  18. heh, yeah, it's your full strength score. Otherwise, if it was your modifier, you would need at least 20 strength to even pick up full plate armor, and that alone would fully encumber you
  19. I just noticed you were questioning a bit on your max load. This part: Because you have a 14 strength, youre currently carrying a light load. Your weight capacities are: Light: 58 lb. or less Medium: 59-116 lb. Heavy: 117-175 lb. And carrying capacities work sort of like armor in terms that they determine your max dex, skill check penalties, and speed. That is, you take the worse of the two, so if you're wearing armor that provides a worse bonus, you ignore the weight capacity penalties, and vice versa. The penalties for medium and heavy are (no penalties for light): Medium: Max Dex +3, check penalty -3 Heavy: max dex +1 check penalty -6 and then there's some speed reduction stuff too, which you can find here
  20. heh, that's funny. What was his reply?
  21. mine says the exact same thing. Male 18-24, which is incorrect on the age part, at least. (but is closer than the wrong gender ) edit: dag, yo. I can't add multiple ages/genders. I wanted to see what ads are targeted at an 18-24 65+ male-female.
  22. Artificer has that baked directly into the class. At level 1, they get item creation, it allows them to basically pretend they have any spell for crafting purposes, and then you just need to take the crafting feats, like brew potion. They also, at 4th level, get "craft homunculus" which gives you the ability to craft constructs. The rest is pretty much just roleplay. here is a guide to building artificers, it may help you refine down exactly how you want to build your character, and gives recommendations on the homunculi to build. It also lists a couple of good PrCs, like alchemist savant, and what books they're in.
  23. (it's cool. For this thread, assume control of any NPCs or specifics of the locations all you want. When you get in the dungeon, though, i will retain full control of the NPCs and the locations, though.)
  24. Yeah, you could, certainly, read it without reading the first set of books, but at the same time, this one doesn't exactly explain the magic system as thoroughly (at least in my opinion). Also, there's several points where they refer to things in history/mythology/etc. and such that you can directly draw backwards to events in the original books that will go over your head and just come off as back story for the setting. Which won't stop you from reading and enjoying it, it's just that there's so much more to it if you've read the originals
