That I am afraid cannot be the whole answer, because the healing works on children. If it would work on an eternal template only how come it fits the age of your body? Also you can heal by Forging. That works by redoing your past. Should we really assume the same effect is done in two different ways?

Unblemished and ideal perhaps, not necessarily scarred. All wear and tear is fixed.

Gold being a temporal metal, it seems to restore an earlier state, hence the bone ought not to be denser.

Breath as collateral? I suppose pawn shops will accept breaths. But for an economy breaths are even worse than gold. You cannot easily increase the amount. You'd see permanent deflation.

No. Otherwise simple clay and many minerals would block allomancy. Much of their mass is aluminium. Neither can you burn the iron or zink in your enzymes. They have to be metal. I suppose the alcohol is kind of a sacrifical lamb. They hope that the oxygen that does get in oxidizes the alcohol rather than the metal. I am afraid that tightly sealing a vial on Scadrial used to be not that easy. The plants had no flowers during the Final Empire. Hence there were no bees. Hence there was no wax.

The people of the Cosmere are culturally diverse. On Roshar the ten essences of Soulcasting look like the accepted wisdom. On Scadrial however, Wax speaks of "eka-boron" as a component of an aluminium alloy. By our understanding eka-boron is aluminium. Hence he is refering to scandium. If you go strictly by by atomic number, that will be your answer. Hence they do not know quantum mechanics or atomic shells. It would be interesting to know whether they know spectroscopy.

The idea that democracy is advanced is unlikely to be shared among the Alethi. In particular her attitude towards Thaylen customs indicate that Jasnah does not think so. In addition the throne belongs to her family. She will not diminish it without pressing need.

If you go by the legalist route, Gavinor must be king. There could be questions about who is supposed to be regent, but it is clear who is to be king. If you go by ability, then indeed you will have to ask which of the candidates ever led an army in the field. Jasnah is the cleverest pretender. But it is not obvious that that should decide the question.

"Technically, yes" is not the most ringing endorsement of spectacular physical abilities. What Gaspers do is a physical ability, isn't it? Yet it is not something a hunter would necessarily choose to carry an aviar for. Yet Dusk is really impressed by a firearm. Would that be so if aviars could grant you the abilities of a coinshot? That seems rather unlikely to me.
-
Kokerli is necessary to hide him from the sea monsters, Apparently every hunter has one of that type. Sak is allomantic electrum in bird form. Dusk brought Kokerli and Sak. So you can have multiple aviars. So why did he not start out with aviars beyond Kokerli? If aviars could grant powers equivalent to pewter, tin or feruchemical gold, Dusk would find that useful, wouldn't he? So we can draw conclusions from the negative evidence about Dusk's hypothetical other aviars about which kinds of powers aviars don't grant. Regarding the parasite I am afraid we are misunderstanding this. It is unlikely that the parasite gives the aviars arcane powers. It is likelier that it grants the ability to bond with humans and share powers they already have with them. Why is that so? A lot of animals and plants on and around these islands have arcane powers including outright telepathy. Do they all go to Patji's eye pickung up worms? That would mean you have a worm that could live in all kinds of animals and even plants but not humans. Leaving aside the question how giant sea monsters living in salt water would get up a river they don't fit into.

You cannot claim that the Knights Radiant fight for all Roshar while their leader is king of Alethkar. Even Adolin is problematic.

A cycle of desolations is still better than being wiped out immediately. If they want to be permanently saved I see two options kill Odium pull a Taravangian and let Odium leave without him killing you. To a limited extent he is willing to do the deal. If soundly defeatted once he may be more inclined to deal.

[OB] Book 4 Storyline Predictions and Discussions
Oltux72 replied to TequilaJack's topic in Stormlight Archive
Thanks for refreshing my memory. This story is supposed to hold up when Navani and Jasnah begin to probe? Why weaken the Azish for example? And they will wonder why a cold Macchiavellian type spends so much money on hospitals. And if he knew the desolation was coming and he is that ruthless, why did he not eliminate his Parshmen? He may convince Dalinar, but Jasnah and Navani? -
[OB] Book 4 Storyline Predictions and Discussions

Now, correct me if I am wrong, but Szeth will now stay with Dalinar. Dalinar and Navani will surely have a few questions about how and why Gavilar died. And they will ask about the other assassinations. And the attempt on Dalinar's own life. This means they will clash with Taravangian. -
Iran-Contra? Odium would score two goals with one ball. If, however, Cultivation offered him freedom at the cost of sparing her, Odium would need to choose. If he declined, he would lose time at least. Granted he does not age. But his enemies, the other shards, would gain time to grow stronger.
-
Then you got to ask why Cultivation is not ready to make a deal. Why is she risking herself, if she could force the other shards to join the conflict?

If the parasite survives and an alien bird counts as bird. The only evidence we have is from Sixth of the Dusk and it is mostly negative. Mainly why did he not bring more birds?

For an allomancer the metal the metal he burns determines what he can do with investiture and it provides a channel to gain investiture. The functions are separable. Compounding does exactly that. So could there be metals that only give an ability, but no fuel? You would need to find another source of investiture to do something with them. Now usually this would only be idle speculation. But there is silver on Threnody. Apart from aluminium, that is the only time a regular metal is used in another system. Could what happens on Threnody be actually something akin to allomancy with silver acting as a focus and the substance of the shadow as a power source forcing the shade into selfdestruction?

Jasnah is a pragmatist. She will weigh the effort of fighting corruption against the gain. And she is certainly Machiavellian enough to understand that some corruption gives her more power, as she would have a pretense to fire people. Kaladin believes in justice. There is potential for conflict.

Potentially chrome. That really is the wild card. We have no idea what happens if you leech living shard plate. If the plate locks up, the eye slit becomes really vulnerable. Alternatively we may find out from which height a Mistborn could drop the Radiant after lifting him on steel & duraluminium.

You could do the opposite of an orphanage. You care for the frail at the cost of their breath, prepaid.

If you were burning gold, cadmium, bendalloy or atium, that is managable. Possibly also copper. We have no firm indication what copper compounding does.

At some point he would have been compounding 24/7, even if he had enough Atium.
