Sorry, I really don't have much time between now and tomorrow morning to post/analyze anything... After tomorrow morning (hopefully before rollover), my schedule should become much more normal... I didn't think Snipexe's death was all that strange. Bard mentioned that if he was elim, it could put some of the other people who voted for Cadcom under suspicion. Though I don't necessarily agree with this statement, I could see why people could at first glance. Devotary explained this away, but there were several people who said they didn't have much time, and may have taken their actions hastily because of it. Given other circumstances, I would agree it is strange, but unless I am missing something, in my head, this seems to make sense to me. Devotary didn't say much (or anything really) that I would interpret as putting a target on their head, but I need to reread the first day as well, which I haven't done yet. I will try to get another post in before the rollover. If I can't, I will definitely post something after the rollover. I am pretty sure Shqueeves is still alive...

Fura liked staying up late into the night. It was always so quiet and peaceful. She decided to take this opportunity to write a letter to her family. They hadn't parted on the best of terms, even though they had sacrificed much to reunite her with her house. Fura dipped her quill in ink and moved it towards the paper, when she heard screams coming from outside. She jumped, spilling ink all over her parchment, and ran to a small window overlooking the square. Outside she just saw some people talking. Ugh, they always make such a big deal out of nothing! She went back to her desk to continue writing, but saw the ink all over. Replacing the parchment with a new one, she sat back down to write, but then there was a knock on her door. She looked through the peephole and saw her house's butler. What was his name again? Oh whatever, it isn't important. "Not right now, I am busy!", "This is quite important, and you will want to see this sooner rather than later". Fura opened the door, this just better be fast. The butler just handed her a newspaper and walked away. On the front page she saw that Miomounder had died... Sounded like a poisoning. This day was just getting worse and worse. Miomounder had been one of the few people in the court who understood her... Perhaps this was all a bad dream? Yes. It must be. The sooner she went to bed, the sooner morning would arrive, the sooner the world would be back to normal.

Long Game 49/Anonymous Game 3: Window to the Past
Furamirionind replied to little wilson's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Well, the parshendi only took protect and spying actions until the unmade was released... (Though Szeth did a lot of roleblocking) I think the only "evil" people from the start were probably SoH. The parshendi became evil. Though people were accusing them from turn 1. I thought for sure Tearim wouldn't attack Klade as he also probably wants the desolation, which is why i originally thought we should have 2 attackers on Klade instead of on Tearim...- 1062 replies

Long Game 49/Anonymous Game 3: Window to the Past
Furamirionind replied to little wilson's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Well, I did lie to you... I lied to you about lying to you... (I think I really confused Ash by doing that as it was basically suicide) The beggars feast seemed amused at my idiocy for choosing Aesudan over you. : ) I then asked my allies to vote to ostracize me as I kept hearing rumors about people trying to kill me, and I wanted people to stop thinking about me... Which may or may not have been a mistake. : ) Wait, you mean you booped me with Sadeas' soul right? I was really nervous that there was a third person in the game trying to cause the desolation... But at least you had your priorities straight with what action to choose... Speaking of the beggars feast, I am sorry that the "young love" "relationship" that Tearim and I had didn't last after the ostracisation doc... Though I might have been able to complete my 5th wincon if I had defended him to the others instead of turning on him... But I was too scared of the desolation.- 1062 replies

Fura watched as Count Olaf paced up and down the square. What was he doing here? Surely he wasn't a noble. To her, he looked much more like... Well... She didn't know. But he really should do something about his eyebrow and his unkempt hair. Just because it was balding, doesn't mean you don't need to take care of it. Fura audibly whispered her thoughts in Snip Exeutor's ear. She hadn't meant for others to hear this as well, but as the entire court of nobles is used to eavesdropping on other conversations for gossip, that was something that tended to happen with her. She was still trying to get used to that fact. Having moved here only a few weeks ago, she still wasn't quite familiar with all the people and intrigue that was in the Elendel court. Then from behind her she heard, who's voice was that again? "Slaughter cannot be avoided, so the scholar's inclinations towards aggressive actions are necessary." Fura whipped around and saw Sabine behind her, whispering something that she couldn't quite make out. Rust and Ruin, I need to talk like that in the future. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ I appreciate people pointing out I am a novice at these games, which is true, but my intention was to be purely ironic. I was condemning an action I was also taking. I found it amusing, but it appears no one else did : ) Fifth/Orlok

Long Game 49/Anonymous Game 3: Window to the Past
Furamirionind replied to little wilson's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I was Liss. (First SE game as well) I took the long shot with gambling on Aesudan's support rather than sticking with Wit and Adolin, being the safe options. I knew what I was getting myself into. I also wanted to break away from the allegiance with Jasnah and the Kholins Liss had in the books... Which I found out was a mistake after Aesudan "betrayed" us for her wincons... And then I had to work with Jasnah... ...I am glad I didn't change my action to be to kill you this past turn, though I almost did after I was confused by your PMs. This game was too much fun... too much... I think I will need to put time restraints on how much I am on SE in the future... It was awkward when someone from my work came up behind me and saw I was on a google doc titled "Women"... I still don't think I have heard the last of that. As far as who killed Straw, the master spreadsheet (at the bottom of the post) says that was Szeth. Which I didn't expect. I just wish I had been less obvious as to who I was, I didn't even think about that during the game. 2 people guessed who I was to me correctly, and at least one other said they were confident they knew...- 1062 replies

Yes, you were oh so witty (Lowercase "w"). Thanks for the boop... I guess I appreciate it? Thanks to the GMs for their endless patience with me while I spewed out what felt like endless questions about and throughout the game.- 1062 replies

Count Olaf ( Fifth Scholar), it seems kind of unfair to be voting on someones assassination immediately after the game starts, with no information/reason. Locke Tekiel (Orlok Tsubodai), Is this a bad idea? almost certainly. But someone else did it first! And he paid me several infused broams. Oh yeah, and I don't have time right now. Either late tonight or tomorrow morning will probably be the next time I get on. I will do RP and stuff then. (I just realized that my reasoning for voting on Olaf seems kind of serious... I just wanted to praise Locke.)

Welcome to the shard! I can't wait to see your posts around the threads! Which is your favorite book/series? If you had to pick one magic system/set of powers that you could use, which would it be? Do you like role playing games?
-
Welcome to the shard! Have an upvote. What Brandon Sanderson books have you read? Which is your favorite? Do you like role playing games? being new to the cosmere, be careful when searching the shard, It is full of spoilers. Be careful of people offering you cookies... They often contain spikes.

The way I see Elhokar, is that he was on a redemption arc of sorts. He started as a spoiled, whiny kid, and ends as a king and almost knight radiant. Realistically, I don't think the public will consider Elhokar a good king. As all of this bad stuff happened during his reign. So I don't think he will have much of a legacy in that aspect. However, he is a character close to the main ones. And because of his character arc, I think he will be remembered and referanced in future books, because these books are from the perspectives of our main characters. His death will definitely have an impact on the characters, though some more than others.

It is amusing how completely one sided the poll is. : )

Moash definitly does have a bit of Honor left in him... Or did anyway... I dont know... To me, Moash seems so caught up in himself that I dont think he would be in a position to pick up a shard... He definitely has the temperament, but the same way Kaladin has the temperment of Honor with a little Odium. They are such perfect opposites. And a few minor changes to the story and Moash and Kaladins places would be swapped. Like Neville and Harry in Harry Potter. I dont like the idea of making them not oposites anymore, but then Kaladin would need to take up Honor, which I would not complain if he did, it just doesnt seem like Kaladin would to me. None of this is based on facts, this is just my opinion on this topic. : ) Based on facts, Moash probably has as good a chance as any to pick up Odium next.

Nightwatcher Boon/Bane (Game)

I wish for the ability to not have to suffer from banes. -
Interesting catch! Perhaps Wayne has some issue with fine motor skills... He cannot shoot a gun, and perhaps this has to do more with a struggle to persisely control his hand more than trama of those he has killed? Perhaps he is physically capeable of writing but finds it too difficult. Another idea, and this is kind of frustrating, but I always take everything Wax and Wayne say with a grain of salt. For instance,we all know Wax is the "smart" one between the two. They both have their skills, but wax does the thinking. Perhaps Wax was jokingly insulting Waynes intelligence, Wayne then responds with a self-deprecating reply. I think, though less interesting, this sort of joking sarcasm seems a likely culprit...

Which Form of Investiture Would you Choose?
Furamirionind replied to The Grumpy Elantrian's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Hands down, I would choose rithmatics. Wait, what do you mean rithmatics aren't in the cosmere and so technically is not investiture? Really? But it is so cool... *sigh* I like the idea of having a spren, and if we factor in the spren, I would pick being a windrunner. However, notfactoring in the spren, I would pick awakening... Though then again, I dont know how I would get more than one breath... So I guess I will just say I picked windrunner. : ) -
Oh, that takes all the speculation out of it... Whenever there is someone with only one earing, in my head, it is always their left ear. Idk why...
-
I would definitely be a zinc compounder... The ability to basically think super fast. Seems like it would only be good in specific instances, but would be my pick anyway.
-
I think as well, each order of radient represents something worth striving for. So while an individual may not in that moment want to go in that direction, they may change eventually. For instance, Kaladin at one point wanted to pursue justice over protection. He eventually understood why he should protect and went towards that path. I think the spren can change humans just like the humans change the spren. So perhaps even just bonding an Honor spren is going to make you much more likely to go down the path of protection, where if the same person bonded a high spren they may pursue justice. ...if my view makes any sense... : )
-
Interesting thoughts... My interpretation has always been since shardblades deal spiritual blows instead of physical ones, they were able to hurt the spren. But I dont think we have another instance of this. I will have to pay more attention in my next reread of the books.

Nightwatcher Boon/Bane (Game)
Furamirionind replied to killersquirrel59's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
Granted, but your bane will be that you will have an abnormally short memory. You will know your bane always, but never realize it is a bane. You will instead forget this post, and think that the bane is naturally yours. I wish for the capacity to save humankind from themselves. -
I would like to sign up as a spectator... But if there are too few people, then I'll join as Furamirionind Yuln'Broael. But since no one can pronounce that name (including me), everyone just refers to me as Fura.

Fura had just entered the room, and bookshelves were being torn from the walls while people smashed their way in. No, this wasn't right. There was something morally wrong with destroying books and bookshelves. Fura raced towards the door and shouted at the stickquisitors still outside, "There is a door over here! no need to smash your way in, this way is much easier!!!" Then a stickquisitor grabbed Fura's shoulder and tossed him to the side. Mid air, Fura saw someone rushing towards him from inside the room. As Fura lost his grasp on the door, it slammed shut, and there was a loud BANG as something hit the door. The stickquisitor opened the door to find one Le Sigh right there.
