I couldn't find any pertinent WoBs on the subject, but I'm not the best at surfing for them. I would think the spren melds with your spirit web to a degree that would allow you two to share a singular Identity as far as the magic is concerned. Maybe it could be a problem early on but by the time you get to third oath it should be safe. (Let me know when you finish your character! That was my favorite part of the Alleyverse:-))

Plant-based cultures in Roshar

They also have the honorblades so they do have access to soulcasting. Not very much and they would need to trade for more, but they do have a limited capacity to make their own. -
Yes, I do believe the three realms have always existed in their current form. I'm pretty sure of that answer (I never state things as fact. Its a flaw of mine:-)).

Ketek of Wrathful Truth?!?? Knights often Wailing? Kind of wrong though...

But it's the Cognitive aspect it the Spiritual aspect behind swapped? Is it both? If they're just swapping the Spiritual aspect, then perhaps some Cognitive corruption could be happening.

@Golstar just a friendly reminder, but you're in the Stormlight section and the Mistborn stuff should be in spoiler boxes.

There's a thread a little ways down talking about the Bondsmiths. What would you like to discuss? I thought the Dustbringers were the most surprising:-) -
I'm jealous:-)

Is Taravangian evil? Everything he does is for a "greater good". Not that I totally subscribe to that school of thought. I'm just saying Jasnah probably would have worked with him (so long as her family wouldn't be harmed).

You've got six more chances after this one! You'll make it eventually:-)

Cool! It just goes to show that MBTI doesn't dictate which force of nature you would bond with:-)
-
Fist bump:-) I saw your results in the other thread and wondered if you were INFJ.

Top Three Results in KR quiz
Steel Inquisitive replied to Steel Inquisitive's topic in Stormlight Archive
Wow! this is a lot of info to digest:-) Thank you all. Some initial observations as of posting this: All of the Bondsmiths were also Edgedancer and Windrunner. There is a lot of crossover between Edgedancer and Windrunner. Makes sense when you think about it. One is about helping the forgotten while the other is about protecting the lowly. Both Dustbringers were also Elsecallers. The most popular order is Truthwatcher right now. Not surprised that we have a larger sample size of them on the forums:-) -
I'm really curious to see if there are any patterns with the top three results. I've noticed people who get Edgedancer also usually get windrunner too. Also windrunners seem to be the most prolific. Makes sense I guess:-)

Yes...I'm curious why you don't think Edgedancer fits? INFJ tend to be selfless, giving their lives away to those who need help. INFJs are complicated... We can work at the top, starting movements, and pulling the world behind us, while trying to change the world for the better. We can also work in small ways. That school teacher that poured their lives into their students to help them succeed. Both are valid ways for the INFJ to feel like they are making a difference. I believe that's true of any type. INFJs also tend to be rather spiritual. Which fits with the bolded. A healthy INFJ will always be helping in some way. I think helping the common man would be a very INFJ thing to do. I'm curious as to your counter thoughts? Tell me about it:-) I think you have empathetic and sympathetic swapped. INFJs are known for their almost super empathetic abilities. IRL example: I had a coworker walk into the building and immediately knew that something was wrong. No one else had any idea she was upset. I didn't even have to look at her to know something was up. It turns out her uncle had passed away the night before. I literally was depressed the rest of the day. I didn't even know she had an uncle prior to that but because she was upset, I was too. This is why people often say that INFJs "feels authentic". This is not to say that INFJs are not manipulative. I can tell you that its my preferred tool. I'm trying very hard to mature past that though:-) I agree that Taravangian is probably INFJ. Edgedancers are where the majority would end up I believe. Bondsmiths are where they would shine the brightest. Windrunner is probably just me... I've always had younger siblings to watch out for. This big brother habit probably stems from that. Personal life experiences will always influence these things.
-
If it helps the discussion... I'm INFJ and almost tied between Windrunner and Edgedancer with Bondsmith right behind. Edgedancers are my favorite and the one I would want to join. I feel like Bondsmith is similar but instead of small picture they look big. If it was forced on an INFJ they would probably thrive as Bondsmith but would be more comfortable with the Edgedancers. Windrunners are interesting... I could be happy in that order but I'm not much into fighting. Depending on life experiences I think an INFJ could be happy as a Truthwatcher, Willshaper or even a Skybreaker (last one would be hard, but if they picked a good code that allowed for lots of compassion they would be fine).

Brandon's Blurb on Bondsmiths (BBB)

I like that idea:-) it could help heal the rift between Dalinar and Vorinism. -
Brandon's Blurb on Bondsmiths (BBB)
Steel Inquisitive replied to Steel Inquisitive's topic in Stormlight Archive
I think its the first. The Stormsmiths will always have the same powers but they differ from the Nightsmiths. -
Lol yes! I'll take all four surges...;-)
-
I got very similar results! For me the top three were all within few points of eachother. I also thought I would be Edgedancer:-)

Brandon's Blurb on Bondsmiths (BBB)
Steel Inquisitive replied to Steel Inquisitive's topic in Stormlight Archive
Yeah I've read a lot of discussion on the different powers, but now that it's "confirmed" wanted to see if there were more thoughts. Does this mean that their individual surges work differently from each other? If so this gives a lot of weight to @asmodeus theory. (I think it was yours?) I thought that was really cool too! They're like a warrior/diplomat/monk society devoted to their Bondsmith. -
I got Windrunner with Edgedancer one point behind. Edgedancers are my favorite though.... So I'm declaring myself an Edgedancer lol (though I probably fit better with Windrunner *Grumbling*:-))
-
I would love to hear thoughts on this! It seems like each Bondsmith is almost its own Order. My thought is that the "unity moment" was the Stormfather's special move. Maybe the Nightwatcher's special thing is granting boons and curses? Like the Bondsmith can actually control that to a degree. Not enough info on the Sibling to guess:-)
-
Lol that's totally different where I live. I called my friend an LDS and she visibly cringed and asked me never to call her that again. She informed me that where we live they still want to be called Mormon. I think its silly to get upset over labels anyways. We're all people.
