  1. I didn't even start yet. My first 48 hours were spent with retrieving Oathbringer, typing chapter 62 into a google doc for Silva to use and listen to some speeches.
  2. The priest continued, asked his second question and she felt Max hand tighten around hers while he replied again. Someone was sobbing quietly behind her in the audience, but she ignored it, looked at the only person that mattered right now. Max. Gently returning the squeeze, she nodded. "I do."
  3. I'm not sure that would work. Especially with low/ non investiture characters around the skills become important. We could set three levels. "Beginner/ advanced/skilled". The better you want to be, the more points you need to invest. I realize it will be a lot of work and in my opinion it's over the top to list everything, but maybe weapon skills, or something like Lena's poisons (skills that definitly not everybody has) could be ranked like this. Especially if we expect them to give an advantage in rp.
  4. Damaya rushed to Nogard's side, short an angry look at Araha. It wasn't like her friend to so something like this. "Do you need help? Did you hurt yourself?" @xinoehp512 She asked him, when a man stepped out of the shadows. She turned around and looked at him, but kept quiet for the moment, not wanting to put herself in the spotlight with asking the next question.
  5. Lena followed Gonev, having no real idea what was going in. They met Freedom again and then she saw four children. Freedom ran towards them and Lena followed her slower. Children. She took a shaking breath and then pushed any sort of feeling away. "Are you alright? And where are the others?" She asked them.
  6. At first: wow great job! What about non investiture related knowledge/ skills? Like how to handle a weapon for example?
  7. Damaya nodded hesitantly. Why did you bring us here? She asked.
  8. Just drove by my father and retrieved my copy of Oathbringer and he was like "when will I get it back, I'm in the midst of a battle". And I had to promise to drive by on Sunday again and give it back. Then I got home and found his bookmark. He really is in the middle of Thaylen Field... Now I feel kind of sorry... @Ashspren The quote has to be word by word, or could I maybe change the tense/ adjust the form of a verb, so that it's right grammatically if I have to cut a sentence in half?
  9. Althea listened to the priest, smiling the whole time, not letting go of Max hand. They had already walked through so much together, she could barely believe that they had reached this point alive. Max looked at her and it was the love in his eyes, the warmth, that touched her more deeply than any words of the stranger ever could. He loved her. He really loved her. She tried to memorize this moment, every detail and somehow knew, that it would all blurr apart from the most important fact: They were getting married. A tear escaped her eye and she wiped it away with her free hand, embarressed by the fact that she was about to cry like one of those women in the books. Another tear rolled down her cheek and she forced the rest of them back, remembered that they weren't alone. She smiled at Max, met his eyes with her own, forgot about everything around them, about those observing them. This was about them, this was their story. Max spoke the two words, pledged himself to her, not hesitating, not even the smallest sign of doubt in his eyes. "I do." She said softly, the words her fourth important oath in her life, and easily the most joyful of them. =================
  10. It's sad to hear that. We never discussed hamlet in school, I read it on my own, but I sometimes wished for some support as I with MacBeth and A midsummernights dream (we read both in school). But then my english teacher was really, really good.

  12. What does your name mean?
  13. Butt listened to the words and regally looked around to see if someone else had heard them aswell.
  14. Thank you! I liked hamlet a lot, that's why I asked.
  15. Hello and welcome to the shard! Which type of investiture would you choose for youself?
  16. Hello and welcome to the shard! At first a short piece of advice: try to not write two posts in a row. If you forgot something you can always edit it in. To WoT: personally I read the first two books, and then the ones Brandon wrote. I didn't manage to read them all.
  17. Even a non-fighter will get caught in a fight one day. And you really have to think about how weak you want your character to be in that regard. I consider all my characters non-fighters but even Damaya knows how to defend herself, at least for a short while. That doesn't mean she'll ever actively choose a fight, it simply gives me the possibility to at least survive an attack.
  18. My resulotion is to relax. I take a lot of things way too seriously and stress myself unneccessaryly. And I want to spend more time sewing and improve my abilities in that regard.
