Hello and welcome to the shard! Who is your favourite character? I liked it a lot! I loved the investiture they used and the possibilities it offered. One of my favourite characters is a part of this book and (sadly) it's a standalone. The rest I like would lead to spoilers.

Sad and feeling left out were Bread and Butter.

What does the link mean? Damaya asked, subtle fear painting her words. What do I have to do? What does it change? Is there anything I need to heed? She was going a bad job with Coru, she didn't even manage to keep that sorted, to face whatever she was supposed to do there. Another link felt like another burden, like a second set of oaths, when she couldn't manage the first one.

She followed Max, still smiling, took his hand as soon as she stood next to him. The answer of the priest was... unstatisfying at least, but Max seemed to be alright with it and so she kept quiet, not wanting to destroy the mood again. Her fingers tightened softly around his as she nodded. "Yes. I'm ready."

"Thanks." Lena called at Gonev and stepped behind him. "I think this is a missunderstanding. I am a business partner of Crow's." She could at least try to buy Pry more time, or distract the marine should Gonev have a plan.

Lena stood next to Gonev and looked at the rest. "And now?"

"It's an improvised invitation to our wedding." Althea smiled at them. "And yes there will be food."

Althea returned his kiss, lost herself to it, only slowly realizing that it was real. They would marry, now. After everything that happened they would marry. She stepped back from Max not breaking their contact completely. "We need to invite everybody. Do you know a quick way?" She asked him and then turned to the priest. Hesitantly Damaya walked over. She really hoped Araha was right. She already had bonded a spren, she wasn't sure if she needed another one. But she trusted Araha and placed her hand on the gemheart, waited if something happened.

Althea observed him for a moment, moved a bit backwards to be able to look in his eyes, but didn't let go of him completely. "We don't need to marry today." She told him quietly. "I can understand if you'd prefer it to be somewhen else." "Don't get me wrong. I want to marry you. And right now I wish for nothing more than a week, or at least a day without a catastrophy, simply a bit time to spend with you, to hold you close and do nothing else. I want to have a future with you, a family, children. I promise you I'll relax and don't panic as easily and I'll try to keep work out of it." She took a deep breath, forced herself to go on. "I didn't sleep a single hour the last few days and I'm exhausted, and I didn't just loose someone I cared for." "I'd love to use this occasion, to invite a bunch of people and to formalize what we have, to show everybody that I love you, that I belong to you, that I want to spend my life with you." She lifted a hand caressed the side of his face, brushed her thumb over his cheekbone, her fingers curling around his neck. "I love you, Max. This is about you, about us. I don't want to marry you now, if you're not alright, if you need some time for yourself. It's important for me how you feel, how you are." Feeling vulnerable from talking about her feelings, she smiled at him almost shyly. "I hate to always say later, later, to push everything back, to always rush off, to run from one catastrophy to the next. For once I want it to be now, not later, not sometime soon. But I can understand if it's neccessary. If it helps you, then we can have all the laters of the world." Intensly she looked into his eyes. "I need you and I love you. And I need you to be as alright as we'll ever get." Althea looked at his face, his dark, wet hair, his dark eyes. Without him, she would have given up somewhere after Oasis, would have Sephtis take her soul. She lifted her head, heart pounding in her chest and softly touched her lips to his.

Sure. The subforum has a few pinned threads at the beginning. You can find them by the small yellow symbol. One is a guide for new people, one is called something with charaters. I would suggest to read through the "new players guide" first. You can post your character in the character thread, regardless of the discussion there.

You go to the subforum and post it in the character thread. Then we can have a look at the bio and the powerlevel.

When you get your friend the steel alphabet medallion for her birthday and she starts crying out of joy when she sees it. That really made my day, I knew she would like it, but to react like that - I never expected it at all.
