Mike rushed over to Sam and took her uninjured arm. "Over there, the crates. Let me help you?" He asked gesturing towards a place near by where Sam might find some cover.

Lena shrugged. "That's not really my problem, is it?" She continued to eat her pancake. "With chocolate." She grinned at Ronix. "I like pancakes with chocolate." "So I'll go, follow or stay." She walked away, waving joyfully.

Lizanne nodded. That she could understand. Listening to the other questions and their answers she thought about what she could possibly do to help. She felt out of place and the man seemed to be suspicious, with his experiments and the servers and all that. Why was she here? She needed the money and free food was good food, but apart from that? What could she do to help? "Thanks." She whispered to Lisa and then looked back to the man. "How much is in it for us?" She asked.

The guard took a bite of the pancake and smiled. "It's good." Lena grinned happily. The guard would be dead by the morning. Taking out another pancake she started eating as well. "So who is this Jackal? And why does he fear someone will interrogate me? I don't even know that guy?"

Lizanne whirled around. Lisa was right. "Should we intervene?" She whispered, afraid that the stranger would turn his wrath towards her. He was dangerous. Maybe he was looking for her. But why a drum mallet? That made no sense.
