  1. I was reading about the Iriali people because of a post I was reading earlier. I had totally forgotten that they were not native to Roshar. So now I’m wondering if maybe Cusicesh the protector is also not native to Roshar. This is the only wob I found in relation. Questioner [PENDING REVIEW] So, when did Cusicesh the Protector first appear off the coast of Iri? Brandon Sanderson [PENDING REVIEW] Um, a while ago. Questioner [PENDING REVIEW] About 2,000 years ago? Brandon Sanderson [PENDING REVIEW] It's not a recent event. I think that maybe this questioner had the same idea. If anyone has anymore info that would be super cool
  2. Hey! I’m new also. So basically ur friend stole 10 months from u and ur husband. I bet they knew what they were doing too. These books are addictive!
  3. I would say that is a fair assessment. I want to know (also about rands new magic) but I can also respect RJ leaving some mystery there which I am always a sucker for. J. J. Abrams likes to do that too
  4. I totally know what u mean. I did the exact same thing. Even if it was something interesting, I was like I have to know what happens! I didn’t want to lose the momentum I guess. But now I storming love it for the same reasons talked about. They make the story and world feel huge. Like there is so much to explore
  5. Cool idea. Sounds sorta like T’Challa’s kinetic energy suit. If someone wanted to remove the aon they would have to be close right? Which would be difficult if the person had a weapon
  6. @Yata This is the wob I was thinking of And here’s one backing up your point
  7. Honor took the magic over for himself though. So maybe cultivation did the same
  8. “If I have to watch this world crumble and burn to get what I need, I will do so. With goats, yes, but I would let it happen.”
  9. I also want to add: Jasnah + queen =. yas queen. Jas Queen. Get it? Get it? I apologize in advance for this terrible humor.
  10. Son it’s time I tell u about the gems and the storms. Sometimes when a storm and a gem love each other very much...
  11. “Pilots call me starbuck. You may refer to me as goat”. “Ring the bells that still can ring Forget your perfect offering There is a crack in everything That’s how the goat gets in.”
  12. I just posted my previous post by accident somehow. Sorry! My reasoning was that before maybe the stormfather was a non sentient environmental process. But he eventually became the cognitive shadow of Honor, and now has even more consciousness because of his bond to Dalinar. I don’t really know though
  13. I think maybe the high storm predated the stormfather. Questioner [PENDING REVIEW] Pre-Shattering magic in books? Brandon Sanderson [PENDING REVIEW] Let's see. I would count the highstorms as that. Highstorm predates the Shattering. Now, the highstorm has been changed dramatically by certain events, but the highstorm does predate the Shattering.
  14. It seemed like things were left open to be dealt with in the next book also. I don’t think Dalinar has just forgotten about it, but he wants to be 100% certain in his strategy.
  15. I would like to know how adonalsium was shattered. What if there was a linchpin of sorts? Something that once removed allowed the attackers to shatter god? And maybe Hoid is trying to assemble a replacement (for motives unknown). The reason I am saying this in reply to ur post (which is really cool btw) is what if there are only 15 shards because one is missing? Missing because it was destroyed in order to facilitate the shattering. If so what would it be?
  16. @Archer ok sorry! @Sorana thanks! Probably awakening, it’s just too awesome @Silva I think that Oathbringer is the best work Brandon has ever done, but warbreaker is my favorite. My circle of friends had not read warbreaker before words of radiance. So I was alittle alone in being super super excited and saying NIGHTBLOOD! And walking around saying “would you like to destroy some evil today” repeatedly as if I had lost my mind. By the way to anyone who reads any of these posts @Straight_Outta_Arrakis is my wife with whom I have a child. I drug her here even though she’s not the most social person because this place is just really great and I thought she would like it as much as I do. @SilvaI’ve read most of Brandon’s published stuff. Right now I’m halfway through white sand prose version but reading it very slowly off and on. I just started legion.
  17. @Straight_Outta_Arrakis You almost have a whole family
