I had totally forgotten this until someone brought it up. @IllNsickly Kaladin managed to do SOMETHING to the Spren tormenting Gavinor in the throne room scene with Syl as a Shardblade. I can’t quote the scene, but I recall Syl saying that she didn’t think that even a Shardblade could kill a Spren, and it disturbed her quite a lot.

Maximum Power Shapshifting
TrдVψLшR 0115 replied to i’m in the details's topic in Cosmere Discussion
@i’m in the details I’m going to sound like I don’t know what I’m talking about because I dont know what I’m talking about but... what do u think is happening with the shapeshifting as far as the aspect of identity? I was just thinking about Kaladin and how he can’t get rid of his slave brand. Sick name btw I laughed out loud- 16 replies

I would have done the same thing if I had thought of it. Interesting. It sounds like from the wob that Brandon wants to keep the possibilities open to do something like this.
-
that is a very misleading name for ur topic... but also clever.
-
Is this a personal problem? Are u an elantrian?
-
Dragons in space. Is that like snakes on a plane? I don’t know anything about them either but I think they are supposed to be shapeshifters or something. I wanna spike a dragon...sounds awesome

I totally agree that’s why it’s hard to pin down a motive to Bavadin’s actions.

Why is it that every one assumes that when Brandon says autonomy he actually meant to say freedom? Is there a wob or something I’m missing? I don’t know what Brandon’s definition is, but we do know his intention in naming the shards was to break up the pieces of Adonalsium’s personality. In regards to personality free will would fit better. This is what came up when I googled what’s the difference...etc: The difference between autonomy and independence can be understood as follows. Autonomy is the state of being self-governed. On the other hand, independence is the state of not being dependent on another. ... This is the key difference between autonomy and independence.

It would be cool to have two takes on the rattles. Do u have anymore? @Child of Hodor

This is weird: Regardless, if a person can get more Preservation into them, they become better Allomancers. Hence Elend becoming a Mistborn. Like all people, he had the potential within him—it was just too small of a potential to be awakened through normal means. That little jolt of Preservation's body, however, expanded and awakened his Allomancy. As a tidbit, that was a side effect of what that bead of metal did. It wasn't the main purpose of the bead, and if another Allomancer were to burn it, it would do something else. So what do u guys think that means? Like what is the “something else?”
-
I don’t know but here’s this Shardlet If Vin and Elend hypothetically each blindly ingested equivalently sized beads of lerasium, would Vin be a stronger Mistborn than Elend, or would they be equal? Brandon Sanderson Yes, Vin would be stronger. It is additive, not just an overwrite
-
No problem. I agree I think it just didn’t come up. Maybe it was in a scene that got deleted
-
1 Questioner There is quantitative difference in Allomancy (e.g. Elend is stronger than Vin), there is skill difference (e.g. Breeze is better than Vin with zinc), but is there a qualitative difference too? Brandon Sanderson That’s the scale of what we call savant. Wax can do more with less. It’s not just skill, the burning for long, using for so long, will actually adapt your soul to the power. Questioner So can bronze savants pierce Copperclouds? Brandon Sanderson Yes, a bronze savant should be able to pierce copperclouds. It depends on the strengths of the Coppercloud and the strength of the savant, but yes. Questioner So Elend could theoretically learn to pierce Copperclouds? Brandon Sanderson Weaker ones, yeah, totally. He can learn how to do it by brute force

Phantine What does Nightblood do if he gets fully drawn and runs out of breath and people to eat? Does he start vaporizing the ground and start boring a hole to the center of the planet? That was the best question ever This was also the best question ever because of someone saying “mistborn jerk” PhantomMonstrosity Let's say some Mistborn jerk tosses Nightblood into the mists. What happens? Brandon Sanderson I suspect the mists would pull away from Nightblood, though he'd try to feed on them Anyways does anyone know why the mists would pull away?

What Shardic Intent Would You Be?
TrдVψLшR 0115 replied to Philomath's topic in General Brandon Discussion
Curiosity. The planet would just be one big library. Books would grow on trees, and we would pick them like fruit -
Your theory is based on the premise that all these actions will follow from Cultivation’s nature. I would like to know why there is a curse that comes along with the boon. The curse seems contradictory to Cultivation. In the case of Dalinar it all worked together to help him progress, but I don’t recall any other case like that
