  1. The Space Marine took a step toward Silphio, looming over him in the pouring rain. "I'm looking for the one called Silphio," it said. The speakers in the helm distorted the sound, making it sound like an angry snarl. "From your entrance, can I assume that you are him?" @Nohadon
  2. DAYS LATER The night when the Deathwing came to Silphio was appropriately dramatic. Pitch-black sky, a raging storm, and crackling lightning streaking through the air. Nature itself made a spectacle of the occasion. It started with a single flash of light as a Space Marine stepped from a tear in reality onto the central grounds. Investiture and rain alike streamed off its ornate helm, shaped like a human skull, as it turned towards the massive steel tower. @Nohadon
  3. If Dapper is pointing up WoT, then should I draft point values for Warhammer 40k? It seems like interest in playing Space Marines has grown, at least since I was last active. @Archer @Voidus
  4. The air stilled in front of the cell. Then, further down the hallway, reality ripped in two as a Space Marine stepped out of a writhing mass of Investiture. The Space Marine shook off the glowing tendrils, and started stomping towards the cell door.
  5. The giant stumbled, but with a powerful shrug, threw Crow back over it. The Shardblade cracked solidly against the skull helm, but did far less damage than it should have, leaving only a small nick in the armor. On second inspection, the armor was different from normal Astartes armor- it was bulkier, broader around the shoulders, and lacked the customary power pack on the back. The giant raised its storm bolter, peppering the prone Crow with explosive shells as it fell back into combat stance. The air started wavering in front of the cell, as if something angry was trying to rip its way into reality.
  6. The skull-faced giant stepped over Warmer, its shadow looming over the child. With a quick flick of its wrist, the storm bolter fired into the leash, obliterating it halfway between Crow and Warmer. "Crow Blackice," it boomed. "The Deathwing has found your miserable soul guilty before the Emperor. Your punishment is death, and your damnation eternal." The mace in the right hand burst alight as the giant settled into a stance and raised its storm bolter. "Now, die," it roared, pulling the trigger. @Ark1002
  7. Something in the air broke as a huge, glowing shape burst into existence and slammed into the chaos marine, knocking him to the ground. The Investiture quickly dissipated, revealing a giant* in bulky, bone-white armor. It raised the double-barreled** bolter in it's left hand, and with a quick boom, fired down into the marine's chest. *Yes, it's a space marine. **Yes, it's a storm bolter.
  8. A giant, armored in bone-white Shardplate and a forest green tabard, stepped out of a mass of writhing Investiture behind the boy. It wore a helm shaped like a human skull, and carried weapons in both his hands- a double barreled bolter in the left, and a golden mace in the other. The helm's leering grin fell on the child as the giant peered down at him. In an impossibly deep and resonant voice, it spoke a single word. "Run."
  9. Question to @Archer: is having super-shardplate and an aluminum broadsword, balanced with the weakness of being bulky and slow, too powerful?
  10. I would hope that I'm included in my own guild on the census! Can you add me on there, @Ookla the Paragon?
  11. Question: As the guy who created the first NPC army and started this whole mess, do I get to keep my space marines?
  12. “Well done,” said The Man as he rose through the floor. “As fine a kill as I’ve ever seen!” He started clapping slowly as he looked down at his shattered body on the floor. “I quite like how you disregarded your years of training,” he said, “and went for a brutal head smashing, rather than a quick strike to the throat. Who needs clean kills anyway?” The Man blurred for a second, then snapped back into focus. He kept talking, not seeming to notice his sudden disappearance. “Now that you’re finished with your childish revenge,” he said, “you need to come downstairs at once. Your mother and I, bless her soul, have serious business to discuss with you. Bring your ‘friends’ if you want. But hurry.” He tapped his nose, smiling mockingly. “Your mother is very tired, after having the baby.” He puffed into smoke, leaving tendrils of glowing Stormlight writhing in the air. @Cyanic @Sorana @Silva @Gancho Libre
  13. Something leaped onto Riathor's back, biting into the back of his head. Behind him came a dozen horrors, swarming from the crates in the storage. They were little more than ball-shaped mouths, but each one was covered in tentacles- lots of tentacles. They surged across the ground in a blue tide, heading right for the opening in the wall. @Gancho Libre @Sorana @Cyanic @Silva
  14. The basement wasn't entirely silent. Quiet whispers reached Damaya's ears, coming from the storage room to her right. One moment, they were laughing; the next, quiet sobbing. Every moment, they seemed to shift, getting more and more horrific as the seconds went on. @Silva @Gancho Libre
  15. I'll make something of a general outline, maybe provide some new places to work on battles. That cool, @Ark1002 @Sorana?
