A single cloaked figure sat waiting. In plain sight, but off to the side of all the action. He was visible to everyone, yet no one seemed to notice him. Waiting. He knew someone would need information. He just didn't know what information they needed. Ethil wasn't from these parts, so he might not have the specific information these people were looking for, but it was worth a shot. Besides, he needed to find out some information, so that he could continue eating here. There had been some... dangerous ... stuff going on where he came from, and while danger didn't usually bother Ethil, this time, there was direct imminent danger directed at him, so he had to leave. But that meant starting new. Ethil was a good informant. He nearly always had information worth trading. Sometimes for more information, sometimes for a parcel of food. He had a tendency to get involved in a lot. But not so much now. He was just the new guy. So he sat. Waiting. Hoping someone was able to find out that he could trade information.

I'll admit that I've had that same thought before. I came to the conclusion that these messages must be from Honor, as is essentially confirmed, and Honor wouldn't want Dalinar to Unite the Shards. But I don't think that Honor was talking about uniting the tribes of Alethkar, or all of Roshar, like he has thought. I think he is tasked with uniting the 10 orders of nights Radiant, because unless the Orders are all united, they stand no chance against Odium. Here's the thing though. That may come to problems, when it comes time to unite the rest of the Skybreakers. Seeing as their leader has been trying to stop the radiants from returning. Plus Sazed already has a head start. He has two shards already!

Alright, Here's my thoughts,(not in bold yet) Mercystar is a Returned, so that's an obvious choice. Austrism is a religion that is believed to be based on one of the returned, because Austre is usually referred to as a he, and endowment is female Susebron's Mother is another guess, because she was constantly around returned. I'm still reviewing what a couple tiles are, so there may be edits to this post, or another post.

This is all very interesting, and, to be honest, I wondered why Taln was able to resist so long, but I never looked into it. I want to go back and read through the books again now to see if there also seems to be a specific reason why the radiants abandoned their oaths when they did. Was that part of Odium's plan? I mean, I know why they abandoned them in the first place, but I can't remember what caused them to find out that the people had come to roshar after destroying their own land. Was that part of Odium's timing? If so, Why didn't he wait until, say 50-80 years before the everstorm? Now I have a project for the rest of the summer, starting all the way back with TWoK again!

When I click Mark site read, when I'm within Community, I am hoping it will just mark all the Community posts read, leave the rest still marked as unread, but it marks the entire site as read. Or if i'm in Sanderson Elimination, I want to just mark the Sanderson Elimination posts read, but it marks the entire site read. Is there a way to mark only one forum, or one area of the site as read, without actually clicking on every different thread within an area?

I also want to add, that I had kindof struggled differentiating who was who. There were a lot of pronouns used. You may want that style specifically, or it may have been because I was trying to read your story while working. When I get off work, I'll try reading it again, in a more relaxed environment.

I read the first half and skimmed the rest. (I'm at work so it's hard for me to do more than that) and I really liked the story-building. But I feel like I haven't really connected to any of the characters yet. In my opinion, I like to already feel like I know one character by the end of the first chapter, and I didn't really get that feeling. The story itself seems very good to me though. On a personal preference note, I prefer books that have action-ey opening sentences, paragraphs and pages. Your first sentence was good, but IMO it described too much detail, and not enough action during the remainder of the first page. I think that's just a personal preference though, as I'm sure others like to know what the surroundings and background is right from the beginning.

Great! I'm just starting in the RP forums here, but I have been playing Sanderson Elimination for a little while. That's a forum-based mafia-style game, and I love it. It's all down in the community section near the bottom of the website. Edit: Are you writing your story in your native language, or in English? What is your native language?

Excellent! I think there's the creators corner, which would be a good spot to post parts of your novel. I am also working on a story, but unfortunately, I struggle to get past the worldbuilding portion, but perhaps we could communicate and share ideas. Anyways, You probably already know this because you have been floating for a while, but you only have one soul, and you don't want to give it away by accident. That being said, I would be willing to follow you if you said "My life to yours, my breath become yours." It would mean you've lost your soul, but as one of your followers, I would protect you, should you ever decide to venture into the RP portion of the 17th Shard community.

There's nothing wrong with giving away your breath. It can help a returned survive one week longer, or it can help grant someone else greater powers. I just reccommend to not give it away for free. Then you get nothing from it, and you become a drab.

Oatmeal raisin are amazing! I love almost all cookies though! as long as there's gluten, bleached white flour, and sugar. My favorite (today) are oatmeal chocolate chip though. But that always depends on my mood!

Welcome! Beware of spoilers for the books you haven't read! other than that, there are lots of places to try out. You may have to be careful if you don't want to learn anything about other magic systems. If you're into RP you can visit the Community and find clans, guilds, and other groups. But here people have made characters from all the different cosmere planets, so other magics will be discussed Or you can try my favorite spot, the Sanderson Elimiation, which is a Mafia-styled online RP game. Some basic info of the magics may be discussed, but mostly nothing too crazy. Other than that, inquire about what is in a cookie before you accept it, and then determine if the ingredients match your personal morals, and make sure you don't accidentally give your soul away. There's nothing wrong with giving it away on purpose, and often you can sell it for a good price.
