  1. Sorry for the double post... but I told them the chull dung pickup line... Me: (insert chull dung pickup line) Them: ... Me: Oh, come on! You were supposed to have a reaction for me to post on the Shard! Them: But that was just terrible... like, no...
  2. Hey, that’s what the Shard is for, right? The person who used the pickup lines to me introduced me to Sanderson. They wanted me to read Mistborn, but I still hadn’t gotten it within two weeks. They surprised me with the Final Empire, and told me to start reading at that moment.
  3. Someone has actually used one or two of the pickup lines from my first post on me. And, they compared me to some of my favorite Sanderson characters, and made some references to some of the greatest scenes between couples in the books. I’m going to see what happens when they hear the chull dung pickup line... Needless to say, they are awesome. It’s great when you’re with someone who’s also a Sanderfan
  4. When someone tells me not to do something, I always end up doing it... I’m so trying that one.
  5. That's what I brought up immediately after, but they still shunned me...
  6. "ghanderflaffle." Nice, @Gancho Libre. "Why must my middle name be Sneeze!" he cried angrily, sitting up from his bed, and putting on his fuzzy cat slippers. Also, I only read through these last couple of posts, so I have no idea how we got to this point.
  7. My friends and I were playing Ghost. For those who don't know, it's a game similar to Horse (the basketball game) where each person goes around and says a letter, and if you complete a word, you get a letter in the word "ghost." You also get a letter if you can't think of a word you can form with the previous people's turns, or if you add to the word being formed and there are no possible words to spell after that. You're eliminated once you complete a word five times, spelling "ghost." We were going around, and the two people in front of me said "a" and "d." I said "o," because Adolin. The next person claimed that there were no words that they could continue with. When I pointed out "Adolin," everyone shunned me forever. I was out of the game, so what did I do at that point? *takes out copy of the Words of Radiance*
  8. @King Cole... that was incredible. I love you as much as Wayne loves his hat. When you're gone, I miss you almost as much as Hoid misses his instant noodles. I'd become a Worldhopper and travel across the Cosmere to search for you. Are you a Radiant? Because it's almost like you're glowing— you make my world a little bit brighter. You're so amazing, I would almost rather date you over a book character.
  9. WRONG TYPE OF TOO! (It's an inside joke between Ishar and me. Just ignore that.) I think that's how Sanderson might troll us— Moash seems too obvious, and therefore, we overlook him. Moash is in too deep to redeem himself, so he's on the track of becoming the Champion. (A wild Evi appears, alive and totally not dead. Turns out she's Odium's champion, because, why not? ) But about Maya— what kind of spren was she before getting turned into a Shardblade? Are all Shardblades made from Highspren? What if Maya is a type of Highspren that isn't one that bonds with Radiants, but she bonds with Adolin anyway? Would that make a new type of Radiant? ...that was a lot of questions. If anyone has a WoB, Coppermind Article, Arcanum discussion, etc., please post them! @Angsos, I think that Taravangian is going to be a major player for Team Odium. However, I don't think he would be the Champion, due to the fact that he is old and feeble. I think there will be a younger champion, and Taravangian will do a lot of behind the scenes stuff. I think he will definitely die before the first plot arc is over, though.
  10. Honestly, Adolin is a smart, handsome, kind, and amazing person... He would be Odium’s ideal pick as a champion, because he’s so well-connected and loved by his family. However, there would be a flaw in Odium’s plan, if this was the case. As much as his family loves him, Adolin loves them back ten times as much. Something serious would have had to happen for him to turn. I think he might get threatened by Odium to become his champion, most likely by saying that he will harm Renarin, Shallan, or (possibly) their son or daughter. I think Maya will come back to life, and become his spren. She’s becoming more and more alive as the series progresses, and in Oathbringer, she was summoned to Adolin in only 7 heartbeats. (Mentioning @Ishar because we’ve had a discussion about Adolin before, and they might have something to say...)
  11. I was incredibly bored one day, and I just decided to make a bunch of these... Warning: cringey-ness below. Awful puns and terrible references follow this message. Viewer discretion is advised. Reckoners: Elantris: Warbreaker: Stormlight Archive: Rithmatist: Emperor’s Soul: Mistborn— Secret History: Mistborn: Perfect State: General Sanderson: Again, I was incredibly bored. Feel free to use them if you need... Anyone have any others?
  12. You know you’re a Sanderfan when... When you and your friends literally start using “two chickens with one stone,” to the confusion of other friends. When you turn your phone to grayscale as you say “your breath to mine, your life become mine.” When your friend is getting their ears pierced, and you smirk evilly— you know that Ruin will soon start to influence them. When your friend volunteers to make you a copy of Trials of Monument. (@Ishar we are so lucky to have friends like that...) When you have a friend who hates lipstick, so you know that whenever they’re carrying some, it’s a lipstick grenade. When you’re camping with friends, and all that you can think about is that you’re setting sticks on fire. When you don’t want to drive somewhere, so you draw a transportation Aon. That doesn’t work, so you try to Elsecall. It also doesn’t work... When you try to Lightweave the perfect outfit because nothing else looks good. When you try to make sandcastles come to life, because you’re clearly a Sandmaster. When you purposefully misspell “Chris” as “Khriss.” When you try to clean your room using Forgery to rewrite its past, saying that you cleaned it yesterday...
  13. That is so true... Another one for Mistborn: Secret History...
  14. Perfect State: Rithmatist:
  15. I always say that I want real relationships to be like book relationships... but with Shadolin, it just got extremely cringey. If someone were to say something about fading when I wasn’t with them, I would ask them if they were feeling okay...
  16. Arghhhhhh— the Lerasium bead debate makes me want to rip my hair out. It’s so frustrating, because we have all of the evidence EXCEPT Sanderson’s confirmation!
  17. I feel like that Shard is one that we already know: Autonomy. The self-preservation aspect of that Shard’s intent seems to go along with the intent of Autonomy.
  18. Megan Tarash? I haven’t read Alcatraz, so I only know Reckoners and Rithmatist characters...
  19. Wow, I didn’t know that, thank you! That further solidifies the fact that he just came back to Yolen after the events of Era 1. Also, new question pertaining to the relationship between Hoid, Leras and Ati. Leras refers to Hoid as an “old friend” in Mistborn: Secret History. Was this literal, or just to say that they once knew each other? Was Hoid sad about the deaths of these two vessels?
  20. New question— with the wise advice that Stick has given Shallan, does Stick have to approve of Adolin? A friend and I were talking about that...
  21. I agree with the "Hoid has probably burned the lerasium, but there is still a small chance that he hasn't" line of thinking. We know that there are different ways to gain allomantic powers, such as the medallions, but I think that this is now a question of the timeline. When do we see Hoid use allomancy? Is it before or after Mistborn Era 2? How much later than Mistborn Era 1? Or, is it during Era 1? After any point in time after Era 1, he could have used the medallions. We don't know when the medallions were created— our buddy Allik doesn't give us any information about that. However, if this is during the events of Era 1, we can be certain that he burned the lerasium.
