    Hey, welcome! You might be interested in reading this for some history: We are the official fansite because Brandon has given us his blessing, and we host news and more. It’s essentially run by Chaos; he’s not the only head admin, but he’s basically in charge since the other two head admins aren’t around much. He paid for the site for 8-9 years or so, then a little while back a Patreon was set up and Patrons have been paying for the servers since then. Dragonsteel isn’t directly affiliated with us much more than with the fandom as a whole.

    How does an audiobook force a reader to do something? I don’t necessarily disagree, but why do you say this? Thanks for the author recommendation, I’ll check her out! In theory, I agree with you that if it’s not relevant, there’s no reason to make it a big thing. I do, however, believe that we need more literature where it is at least mentioned/implied, and more authors willing to outright confirm it outside if their work as well. (Please note that I am speaking here without my mod hat on, and that my words here in this post and in the past should not be taken as representative of what 17th Shard as a whole promotes.)

    My apologies for the tags; I was updating the OP with the member list. So, Sorana and Gears liked the idea of TUBA being brought down in this alternate timeline.
