  1. HAHAHA exactly! I've ended up rigging up some extra shelves between my wardrobe and the wall >.> using other books as shelves....And my bookshelf is packed to the rafters, and I have a number of books on my parents bookshelves too >.> *hoard*
  2. Because he hates everything? he's just doing things more shrewdly than before
  3. I super duper really really enjoyed them Just awesome! Thank you Meesha (and everyone else) for persuading me to read them! XD
  4. heh, just read Canavan's Age of the Five, it wasnt as good as her Black Magician.... EDIT: oh, and if you didnt know, I caught up (read) Kingkiller last week. Man I read too fast >.>
  5. How unfortunate for us you >.> Welcome back, mis- OMG SHE'S BACK *runs around hysterical*
  6. Interesting, one of the Heralds now holds Honor, that sounds plausible. Nice
  7. What I wouldn't mind is the symbols for the god-metals (and I dont *know* if/that those that I have are correctly named etc, would be a great help if someone could confirm that). I've started trying to trace the Herald's symbols too. It's much harder when it's not easy >.>. lol
  8. In fact, if people want to generally start finding pictures (book scans, official art, fanart, etc) of anything, I'm quite happy to attempt to trace it.
  9. #ff @JamesLuckman and @Terez27 would make a great couple

Isn't Luckers gay? And Australian? Incompatible star-struck couple across the Pacific Ocean?

I was joking, and yes he is gay, and they are not friends either...

  10. A program called Inkscape. And those files are 'wrong' in that I'm now going through them making them better. I also started on the aons, but I already had nice black/white versions of the metals, whom someone had traced as svg's like mine, but then mistakenly rendered as rasters. EDIT: Here's the newer versions _metals.zip
  11. ..oh, I just upvoted you....then realised you might think I want you to die >.> heheheh that's not the case
  12. yeah, life is change, as much as it is preservation.
  13. Yeah, especially in rl-astronomy, you have to remember time breaks everything. Even if you knew where it was exactly, you'd still have to figure out where it actually is, since what you're seeing is many years older than what is. Depending on distances, the planet may no longer exist, heck even the star might have died. Oh, and yeah, it's likely the whole system has moved a little on its orbit of the galaxy. And dont forget the subtle effects of small things like asteroids/comets. Yeah, I'd suggest not jumping. It's probably much faster to travel into shadesmar and move round in there.
  14. Maybe, instead of voting for the winner, we should vote for the best write-up? (and then 'compile' the brackets at the end?) It would mean you can do crossovers as you wish. I dunno, I just liked the idea of discussing who would win more than a blind vote.
  15. not necessarily, he may just be a very messy cleaner....
  16. ¬.¬ dirty stalker....
  17. much like all administrators.....;P

You actually counted? Seems like a waste of time dude. I'd have gone and read the Way of Kings again, or something.

      glory to the e-books!

naw I just hacked together a little python script. Booyah!,

  19. Well technically, I guess, stereotyping is a form of ordering/classification, which is anti-entropic. So its probably just a coping mechanism
  20. I dunno, endless polls are boring... and discussion may lead to new knowledge/theories...
  21. yah but as Eero says, even a large number of people not being a distraction can detract from those who are actually paying to be there. It'd be nice if they could like livestream/podcast it or something.
  22. I think I was trying to convince myself that the lerasium misting sDNA is what makes them mistborn but I guess it makes little sense. *sigh* my mind got messed up and I ran out of steam, It'd be nice to have a discussion on the ways Hemalurgy works though. I'm thinking that the placement of the spike isnt a contributor to the number of permutations of different magics, but a restrictor. URGH SO MANY PERMUTATIONS *drowns*
  23. well this is a short intro, it probably should link to the book Eric is writing
  24. Globals moderate the whole forum, all boards, where as us humble moderators just get to do a subset of them. For example, I only get moderation tools on the Coppermind board
  25. ¬.¬ trust you to ask a question Well I'm not one to play favourites when it comes to our chromatic friends, but I guess blues, blacks, and reds are my favourite... YEAH THATS RIGHT GREEN! YOU SUCK!
