  1. I...uhhh.....*scratches beard*....oh yeah, I sewed up the sleeve of my jumper....badly >.>
  2. if you want the standard rasters they're all uploaded to the wiki already, they're the one's I traced. The whole point of the vector's are that they're scalable. and they're pretty mainstream...
  3. That's awesome *blushes* thanks I'm glad they came in handy
  4. Ahhh, there goes my 'theory' then. Unless its a by-product of time, or Sazed's merger/meddling. If he has 'merged' the Shards somehow, then it'd be easier to justify the splitting of sDNA just as the other Shards seem to have split naturally into a set of powers. Maybe that's what you get when you shatter a Shard, a set of 'natural' powers. Back to the Shard-table, being that each Shard is part of the whole of Adonalsium, maybe each Shard isn't wholly in one part of the table (explaining their temporal-like abilities to read the future). So Adonalsium shatters into 16 pieces, each 'different' in some way to the others; some (like Ruin/Preservation) are polar opposites, others kinda not so much (Devotion and Unity? Cultivation) It seems quite arbitrary, so it's either 'natural' in that it split in any old way, or its 'unnatural' in that it didnt split into things that dont polarize well. Like, this thing was GOD, which by my definition would mean he was EVERYTHING, but where's Apathy/Carefree/Null&Void, where are the guys that are not extreme. Maybe that absence nulls my No Polarized Shards proposition, since they are all extreme. Hmmm, I've run out now... *get's his coat*
  5. And I guess Christopher Reeve could like literally be superman...
  6. On a slight tangent, based on Feruchemy, I'd say that joint-Shard magics are quite a bit of effort to the Shards involved, compared to their single-Shard-powered counterparts. This is possibly due to their lack of similarities (in that they are opposites). Maybe the effort is lessened by having a common focus, or something. But it does seem to be that whereas the single-Shard magic is split up (Allomancy has 16 (+special 'god' metals) mistings and the x16 mistborn one, which is probably just a combination of all 16(+) sDNA's), Feruchemy (as the only example of a cooperative venture) only has one type of sDNA (unless Feruchemical mistings have been confirmed, then you can throw me out by the ear). The shard table is interesting, though possibly flawed in that the last quadrant being temporal doesn't stop the other shards from being able to see the future? I dunno, it's a nice thought. But 10 is obviously a much more important number on Roshar.
  7. Neither do I, my motor control is lacking. doesnt stop me. it's something you can 'get' through practice, I guess.
  8. I'd say that the breath is the soul + some small amount of sDNA via either: the presence of the shard (just by being around, her 'influence' was felt) active fiddling (she tagged everyone, or decided to start 'influencing' them, which lead to the tagging by association) And I was sure that the Returned have 'one chance' to do something with their Divine Breath. Though that might just be because most of the Returned don't keep Stores.
  9. simplistic and stylish and no, I have only the first one in Tor hardback, then 2-11 in Orbit soft and 12+ in Orbit hard. Cause I'm like that (and that's the way it is)... Yeah, I might just go back to softbacks for my 'reading' collection, and keep the hardbacks as souveneers or something, get them signed if I ever meet up with Team Jordan & Affiliates.
  10. Check out SomethingPositive if you like stories like QC and LICD. And I'm gonna keep hyping Sequential Art. It's simply put wonderful. Get reading!
  11. I'm a doublebassist by "trade". Not terribly good, but then I don't practice, or play other than rarely at the uni music society orchestra. I'd love to be able to play well, on the bass or any other instruments. Music is awesome! <3
  12. No doubt some of them are coincidence yes. But writers usually do like to do that kinda thing....
  13. Well, I was messing around today on google translate, with the 10 Herald's names. Here are the results: Chach → Welsh: Small [*]Nalan → Azerbaijani: Lament Basqe: Resource with a view Welsh: Halloween [*]Kelek → Malay: Banisher Azerbaijani: Artlessly Hungarian: Wake [*]Vev → Haitian Creole: Widow Hungarian: Receiver Indonesian: Armrest Swedish: Crank Vietnamese: Distinguished Road So far those are the ones I've found. Any more are welcome, and any conclusions/links/etc would be lovely
  14. since Eric *still* hasnt updated the wiki to allow me to upload SVG's, here's a .zip of the ten Herald symbols, heralds.zip
  15. I'd say it more than likely will be advertised on the front page.
  16. That would more than likely take a different kind of metal, if at all, since the Shard's foci are different (metal for Ruin/Preservation, unknown for the others, but unlikely to be metal). It might work if there was a Ruin+[different-shard] magic, but I guess it makes it all the more unlikely since the other magic systems are not influenced by Ruin.
  17. I dont mind them, I just prefer to have them all the Orbit versions.
  18. Indeed, I started replacing my softcovers for hardcovers, foolishly forgetting that you can only get the Tor covers now >.>
  19. Hehe me too, but some books are just too good to not have straight away, like the last three WoT books >.> I tried waiting, but caved about 5 months in XD
  20. That sounds like what Mistborn is becoming...
  21. As in the Shard has left the planet? more likely the highstorms dying are linked to the Shard-mind dying/losing interest, or something like. Maybe the highstorms are a reaction of Honor to the presence/return of Odium, a war of attrition say (much like Leras VS Ati on Scadrial). And that they are dying means one side is winning? The presence of Jezrien suggests that maybe he (after taking Tanavast's place) started warring Odium, and is failing, so starts appearing much like Leras did. Or maybe Jezrien is a servant of Odium, or the presence is a fake made to mislead.
  22. Yeah Sarah Ellerton is just EPIC! *worship* Furry comics aren't that bad. Like I said, Sequential Art is one of the best comics I've ever read, and that is a anthro.
  23. man, this is getting quite worrying....
  24. naw, LFG is too obvious with its references I think...it's still pretty good, but xkcd > QC > LFG
  25. Manly Guys is AWESOME!!! Well, I kinda follow ~50 comics, some of which have already been mentioned, so I'll just link you to a page listing them all: HERE. A few of my favourites include The Phoenix Requiem, Something Positive, Questonable Content, Perry Bible Fellowship, Octopus Pie, Brown Sharpie. Though I'd say my favourite by far is Sequential Art, I read thorugh it every now and again, and it always succeeds in making me laugh until my sides hurt.
