I just had a vision of a bunch of Iron and Steel misting wearing those suits putting on a coordinated airshow.

I started this theory before WoR came out, so didn't know yet about Renarin's Truthwatching. I'm still espousing this theory in it's basic form, but maybe not that they were having the same visions as Dalinar. Maybe so. I'm looking forward to finding out more about what really happened.

So I've been through ever mention of the word "focus" on theoryland. Brandon uses the word only twice in a way similar to what we've been using. Both times, once in the annotation for one of the Mistborn books, he calls the metals a focus for the Metallic Arts. I can't provide quotes because I'm at work and copy and paste doesn't work here. So it seems to me that focus is a real concept in the Cosmere, and rather then trying to move away from the term we should work to better understand it and reach a better consensus for what the term means. Since Brandon called the metal a focus for the magics on Scadrial, and the quote provided in the OP seem to deal with using metals as a "nozzle" to shape Investiture into an effect, I am inclined to think that Moogle's definition of foci is pretty close to the mark.

Sel might be able to produce plastic by this point in time. It's been hundreds of years since we caught a glimpse of the technology there. Possibly the space travelers that visit First of the Sun, but that's far enough into the future that it's hard to say.

First of the Sun takes place close to the same time as the final Mistborn Era (3 or 4 depending on which numbering convention you follow)

No, Wax doesn't wear goggles. That was also part of the post where Brandon was talking about Wayne with a gun.

I don't think Kelsier was trying to impersonate TLR. Wax and crew assume that the Soverign is TLR from the context of their conversation with Al, but that may only be because that's the most logical leap to take when they say that he was their "king and god".

Well, we already know that Aons act as the filter for the Dor, like metal does for Allomancy. We also know that it is possible for will to act as the filter if the person draws in the Investiture directly. From this, I think that what you suggest is likely possible if someone with a Seon bond could indeed draw in the Dor or perhaps some other form of Investiture.

I don't think we're really supposed to have met Hoid at this point. He's an aloof and mysterious character with vague goals, and we're purposefully left wondering about his motives.

I think Brandon said something about the cover, something along the lines of he didn't have artistic control over the covers so we wasn't able to get the publisher to change it. Something like that anyway.

Actually, I really liked the scene. If I remember, Harmony did sort of apologize. I think he said something along the lines of "I'm sorry this happened because it sucked, but I'm not sorry for what I did because it was necessary."
